100% it has a lot to do with a fresher golf club and a softer ball that grabs the club more if you hit it clean… newer player here but I can get the ball to check up quickly with 2 month old clubs and a TM TP5. Was playing much cheaper balls till a few weeks ago and it changed a lot.. you can see it happening in the ground and my mates around the greens said they can even hear it after it lands.. not great technique obviously as a newer player but can still achieve spin with locked arms like a standard chip shot.

Yeah not often :) Only when you dont have much space to let it roll.....perhaps a tucked back pin over a ridge......only every once in the while do you pull the super saucy one out :)

If you play on a course that’s not ideal condition where you won’t get the good spin, is a premium ball any better that a 2 peace ball? Is it worth paying the extra money for a premium ball if you don’t get the spin from playing from a perfect lie?

@@Charzander570 At my local public course (Australia) you wont get a single ball to spin even with a brand new T24 wedge and every ball from ProV1x, Srixon Zstar XV, TP5, you name it. The green and ground here just isnt going to allow the ball to grip. At best it might check a *little* bit.
If your local is like mine, dont waste your money, just get some Srixon Q-Stars or equivalent golf ball. These greens here only grip in the winter when its soft, green and moist.
