    I think it's smooth because you have image stabilization on which is helping alot

    The strap on the back isn't looped through anything and the frame tapers down towards the top. If the cups let go the whole thing will slide out from underneath

      Good eye! For that run yes, but they were brand new. And it was a short trip for testing. We checked them a few times and they were fine. Now we do this all different. More secure, new gear added and a few other upgrades.

    Awesome video bro. Helped me set up my Sony as7siii. I still feel it feels loose rigged. But I haven’t used counter weights. Any suggestions on how much and how?

    • @VolareMedia
      @VolareMedia  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks so much! Glad this video helped you. For counter weights, I just put weights on until it feels like it’s sitting about half way with the arm. Not at the top, and now all the way to the bottom. Like centred on the arm, if that makes same. This way it can move up or down with bumps. You can adjust the spring and shock rate to help with this as well.

    Hey
    I love the carmount is it the Pro kit ?

    • @VolareMedia
      @VolareMedia  Год назад +2

      Thanks! It works really well. I have been using it for all sorts of different shoots. Mine is not the pro kit, as I had the Ring Grip with controls, so didn’t need the pro kit. But if you don’t have other controls, I recommend getting the pro kit right out of the gate. Otherwise you won’t have a way to control the gimbal.
      Let me know how it goes when you get one.
      Enjoy!

    • @VolareMedia

      Hey! Lots of people ask me that haha. It’s called a Ulanzi phone cage. I found it on Amazon. Works so good for this, still using it.

    How I can found those custom mounts that you drilled into the car? 😫

    • @VolareMedia
      @VolareMedia  Год назад +2

      Hello, Thanks for watching.
      Good news! The mounts are not custom, they are Tilta mounts. You just remove the suction part. Four screws. Just order two extras from Tilta, either size, they are the same price.

    A bit of a random question here, I am currently trying to get this rig up and running with the rs3 pro, How are you setting the arm? mine feels pretty stiff... like I set it so that it falls from the top like the instructions but if you push it down past horizontal it doesn't come back up. And if I set it so it bounces back up, there is about 10-15 cm play from horizontal that it doesnt return to horizontal at all.. I hope that makes sense! haha appreciate your time :) love your shots!

    • @VolareMedia
      @VolareMedia  Год назад +2

      You are talking about the hydra arm correct, not the gimbal?
      I really had to play with the spring and dampening stiffness a bit. And the weights. Tried a few different things until I found the right combo. For this stuff we use the a7iii with one v mount battery, three weights and then I adjusted the shock just a bit back from full negative. The spring tension I barely touched.

      Hope that helps? 🤷
      If not maybe hit me up on IG or FB. We can back and forth there and figure it out. Happy to help.

      @@VolareMedia im actually facing the same issue as what CS mentioned! let say i adjust the spring arm where by if i push it down and have it go back up to the horizontal position (parallel to the ground), i cant do the same for when i push the arm up. The arm will stay up. And vice versa, if I adjust the spring arm where by i push it up and have it fall back down to the horizontal position, pushing it down will have it stay down. Isn't it suppose to stay horizontal regardless when it is pushed up or down?

      this cause my footages to be quite jittery! so im curious what did you do to get it to work, cuz your footages looks so smooth and stable!

    What do you use for wireless video? I use red control app and the latency is pretty bad.

    • @VolareMedia
      @VolareMedia  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hey. Now we are using the Vaxis wireless receivers. For this video it was probably the Raven Eye

    How are you controlling gimbal

    • @VolareMedia
      @VolareMedia  Год назад +1

      We now use the Tilta hand controls. Same ones you use for the Ring Grip. At the time of this video I think we were using the DJI app and the Raveneye with the ForceMobile feature.
      Now we use full control. Even for focus we do separate with a focus puller.
      New video coming this spring with our new set up.
