Would love to hear updated guidance on social media use as an official means of communication. I get the aspect of building teams with pictures and stories involving soldiers and their families. This has been one of the positive effects of the military using social medial. However, Marco Polo, Signal and whatsapp are not secure. Why develop the habits and reliance on social media when its not viable during conflicts? Train how we fight. Also, while leadership see a few number of messages, there is a christmas tree effect by the time messages get down to the lower levels.
Ramrod - very helpful, but I'd be cautious about this particular portion of the series. There's a fine balance between communicating guidance and intent and exposing PII or breaking OPSEC. Overall, enjoyed this series.

Very interesting topics & well explained! Thankyou Eric.🤗
I appreciate your videos. Taught me a lot.

I’d caution the tagging of Soldiers on social media. Highlights are important but OPSEC is more so; especially for those in more sensitive positions.
Thank you for your easy and fun explanation
Is it safe to put all these details on Facebook? Wouldn’t this help the enemy see what you are doing and learn?
I was a RAMROD! 2000-2002 when 1ID was still in Vilseck, Germany. #RAMROD9D
