I was disappointed that it is assumed that they are going to be run as a set with close coupling with no alternative provided. I bought a brake coach to run as a one coach branch train and had to then buy a pack of NEM couplings. How much extra would it have cost to provide alternative couplings?
Hello from the East Riding of Yorkshire. Just watched your excellent video about the unboxing of your GWR coaches and I found it very interesting and informative, well done. Your layout looks amazing as well. Thank you once again. I shall be watching again. 👍🚂
Can't beleive I'm saying it, but £55 is maybe good value for money nowadays... but shame though that they don't do "packs of 4" or buy 4 get 1 free.. I'll be waiting for a lottery win. Anyway great video - I imagine you didn't bother taking the rooves off the other coaches arter learning your lesson! These manufacturers don't seem to recognise that most of their customers are going to have radius 2 curves, and fit as default all the the details (like short close coupling) that look good but aren't all that practical. I got a class 33 last week, all the buffer detail had to be taken off if you wanted to effectively haul any trains..
The cantrail sticks out too much and reminds me of the metal roofs of the ancient Graham Farish 'suburban carriages of the 1960s. A pity they did not go in for Churchward's American bogies. The roofs would be better dark grey. White just looks silly.
even if they are brighter than life, that's ok, they simply look wonderful 😀😀 Nice review

I notice you had the same problem I found, getting the carriage roofs back on is difficult, very easy to break something

WWRD. What would Rambo do?
Strange!, have just looked at Sam's Trains review of these coaches and his are a lot less bight than these.
Possibly as mine is DCC and on 18v
UNBOXING!!! I hate every RUclips video that has UNBOXING in the description... "Watch me take this thing out of the box" How interesting.. NOT!
You could just NOT watch the video? 🤷♂️
