- I put a considerable amount of thought into this whole thing. All I’ve wanted to do was create a youtube video that would be worth the watch. RUclips and this bike have consumed my thoughts. And just making it better. I want to create better content.

Anyone restoring a vintage vehicle deserves a sub. Awesome project dude, and as you said, with all the people you love with you, that is quality time right there!
Thank you for watching! I appreciate your kind words for sure! My family is all I got and I enjoy them all being involved!
Pretty cool! I haven’t seen that bike touched in years, so it’s nice that’s it’s getting some love.
When it switched to slow-mo I assumed something was about to fall off the bike or even the entire engine/block taking a spill as you were loosening it up. Glad it was just the camera! :)
I appreciate you watching! I kid you not!, the wind was blowing like 20 mph and you can see the camera shake before it fell. Its been fun for sure getting to watch it.
Pretty good! And i dog the bucket hat in the beginning
Thank you!
I love the old Kawasaki KZ's and Yamaha XS's. I had the opportunity to buy a KZ 1300 and/or a Honda CBX several years ago, but I didn't. I used to own a 1980 Yamaha XS 850 Midnight Special. Loved that bike.
Greetings from Texas! Nice start to a clean restoration. Be interesting to see what kind of restoration this is. Full, down to the frame complete rebuild with all new parts ($$$) or a teardown, cleanup and reuse. I'm not a wealthy dude, and I tend to do the latter on my expensive projects (4 wheelers and side by sides). On the small projects (minibikes and gocarts) I lean toward the complete new parts route. Will be watching! I think you have the right mind set, though. Do it because it is fun! Involve the kids where ever you can. You would be surprised how much they will pick up an learn just seeing you do this. It will give them the spark that you have to tinker with things.
HEY MR MIKE! Thank you for taking the time to say those kind words. I too am from Texas! I too am limited in funds so my plan was to reuse as much as possible!. We are gonna find out how good these kids are at paint so keep an eye out!
Great bike, well worth fixing, oi oi oi🤠
Great video. I’d have to have got it running before stripping it down. Each to their own I guess 👍👍
Hell ya bro I got a couple going right now myself!👍🏽

Who doesn't want to see a vintage kz1100 brought back to life. Just subscribed and I will be watching. Good luck with it. Are you going to keep it as oem as possible?
Yes sir! Everything I can! I would like to keep it as original as possible. However i want it to be a different color. And maybe louder! But thats it!
It might be a good idea to make sure it is not seized before you put too much into it
Its not!. I probably should’ve had showed that! But im thinking about refreshing everything anyways, my goal is for the bike to basically be factory quality. For longevity and safety!. Thank you for watching and I appreciate that!
@@RatchetDoesStuff glad to be along for the journey subscribed!
Thank you!
I love these restoration vids. Subscribed.
Hi from UK great vid looking forward to next episode
And the first start to make all the work worthwhile must not let the old ones die
Falla splendere come merita 💪
I've seen these bikes go well over 180 with a little tuning 😀
Nice. Please put a link and credit to the music artists in your video description. It's cool, fits with what you are doing perfectly.
Your daughter is priceless. Thumbs up from me every time.
Don't fear the wiring. It's colour coded and the different size connectors will help you to stay on track. Lay the loom out on the floor and check every connector front to back for corrosion, loose or frayed wires, cleaning and repairing as you go. Then do the same for all the electrical components(eg indicators, coils, regulator). Last step, plug it all together layed out on the floor and switch on. You'll be able to test and fix almost everything except spark and charge there and then.
Enjoy your project. ❤
Thank you! Shes one of a kind for sure! Very good information. And in glad you said that because thats the plan. All new connectors and wires(where needed). Thank you for your time!
Also as to the music. It’s just some basic free use music i found in youtube library.
Hope you thought to take photos on your phone of the tricky bits like wiring. Looking fwd to the next stage
Has an 1981 A2 model in Maroon, p/xed it for a new ZX10 ..should have kept it, the zx10 was a pile of uncomfortable shite.
The garage area is bigger than most UK homes....
I am sorry to hear that my friend. It is a nice garage. I plan to re organize yo make more room in the future!
Lovely bike. Good luck. Im doing a Suzuki A100. No where near in depth as yours😂
Thumbs up! 👍👍
Surprising lack of rust, even the front disc looks only weeks since last used.
Pleasant surprise for sure!
Where's part 2 bro?
Coming soon for sure. Sorry for the wait! Hopefully will be posting maybe Tuesday. Keep an eye out tho!
