    There are few I’d consider for one simple reason, most do not have fenders, at least not much of a fender. And I surely would not pay for black wheels on a motorcycle or a vehicle.

    I hope your photographer's back pain has a cure, you realize that these beauties have sides, right?
    Most photography was done from above, as if someone was too lazy to bend and get some photos from a lower viewing angle.

    The problem with this, and so many other videos, is the misuse of superlatives. Is it really useful to use “best” to imply ranking without applying similar performance indicators for each bike? That quibble aside, interesting comparison - thanks!

    This should be titled best upscale retro cycles. Only mentioning royal enfield one time in an article about retro motorcycles with no mention of the already iconic classic 350, new for 2022, is a huge oversight!

    Here are shown some motorbikes which are far from classic.
    Only the Kawasaki and the Royal Enfield have a classic look.
    And there are a lot of others which are not shown.
    No Moto Guzzi, no Jawa, no Honda and a lot of others .
    So for me it's a totally senseless video.

      Ah, the memories 💭 🏍 . I had a 750 “Water Bottle”. It was heavy on petrol ⛽️ but it was an incredibly comfortable touring motorcycle. Did my share of stealth camping with it too, wheeled it into Australia state forests 🌳, across anti car ditches, then pitched my tent out of view. Always careful the next morning to not leave a obvious trace of my being there. Never was bothered by anyone. Carried an inordinate amount of luggage comfortably.
      One year truckies completely blocked off the State capital in a pay protest. Absolutely no one was getting through. I rode my Water Bottle through a 40 mile state forest on narrow paths to successfully bypass the protest. Not bad for a road bike. Mine was quite stable at low speeds, too.

    all these britsh bikes got good cus honda made the 350 and 450 which were smooth dependable bikes. I can see the 350 in all of them, except none of those brits would have ever seen 75K with only maintenance and tires It could have used a front disc in the Twisties but if you only went on local streets the drum was good enough

    How about a 900cc single cylinder ??

    • @Hollywoodchupacabra
      @Hollywoodchupacabra 3 месяца назад

      It can't be done Mechanically. Any 4 stroke over 250 CC is going to be a shaker and a notorious vibrator. It will shake you silly. Any only single 350 is going to vibrate your hands silly and it gets annoying. You can pull it off with a 2 stoke better. They do not rattle as much when you get into the higher CC with a 2 stroke. They make very smooth street bikes. You could make a 900-cc single but it would not be feasible because it will shake you to death.

    I used to be a fan of retro, but then kind of got over it, but I have to say that a lot of the modern bikes are just butt ass ugly. It isn't that I am a fan of "Retro" but simply that I am not a fan of bizarre styling that seems to be the dominating style of the 2020s. Of these, the Triumph is beautiful, but not worth $16K. The Royal Enfield is a very pretty bike and is sold at a very reasonable price. Of all of these, if I had to spend my own money, the Continental GT would be my choice.

    • @michaelcaron7659
      @michaelcaron7659 5 месяцев назад +1

      Exactly the Triumph is a really nice bike but overpriced imo and the Enfield is nice also 👍

    • @redtobertshateshandles
      @redtobertshateshandles 2 месяца назад

      Yeah but you will need to replace the fork springs because they are not suitable.
      Too soft then transition to too hard. Terrible design.
      The rear shocks aren't great. Too stiff with poor damping.
      The rear brake pedal isn't great.
      And the exhaust is huge and heavy.
