I adore your content, it really helps to get me inspired and fired up to take some more photos myself. I find Street photography really terrifying but I'm giving it a shot recently and I think I have you to thank for the inspo.
Thank you so much! I’m very happy to hear I can inspire you to go out and take some photos 😎. Don’t worry too much about getting great shots at first. It will take some time to get comfortable being in public with a camera in hand. Best of luck!
This is so funny. Vancouver is so small that I did a photo walk the other week and this is exactly the same areas I went through. Like even that productive alley i did a lot of shots in. Looks great but like... shooting street in Van is kinda easy to exhaust downtown. I think I need to try Main street next.
I will always wait patiently for your videos to come because it is educational and fun. All photographers should take a look at your videos. Thank you so much.
hey man nice video!! guess what i just tried my POV video for the first time it was kind a awkward cause i cant see it clearly from the LCD because of sun's glare but still ill do my best to do it i was so inspired by your videos. keep it up man. still learning from you your an inspiration thank you big fan here 📸
That’s so cool! Amazing to hear you got out there and gave it a try! I can promise you my first time was very awkward as well haha. Keep going out I promise it gets easier.
@@RolandKaufmann yeah your right ill just keep on practicing. weather was so nice yesterday here in Vic Island. so while saving money for the 85mm 1.8 i just keep practicing on my 50-250mm lens Big Fan here 📸
Your ability to make a masterpiece out of a completely normal scene is amazing, your videos are truly inspiring and just makes me wanna hop out of bed and film everything, Thank you!
Please keep the Z50 content coming 🥹 you’ve inspired me to pick mine back up and take it serious again, especially since your work is amazing. Rare to see many use the Z50 to its full potential let alone share it with beginners so it’s appreciated!
Hi Roland, thank you again for your great work. Vancouver is a very nice town. Your b+w photos are looking beautiful. I also try b+w photography, digitally and analogue. I have uploaded some special picture controls on my Z50, Kodak T-Max and Portra, to get a little bit more analogue look.
Thank you for the kind words Lauren! Oh that’s cool to hear. I find monochrome is a touch too grey for my liking. That’s why I was pushing shutter and iso way out of whack haha. Where did you find those picture profiles?
obviously cannot post the link directly, plz google for nikonpc - The Nikon Picture Control Editor. There are plenty of color and b+w profiles including preview monitor and curve editor.
Hey, first of all fantastic video and pictures! Could you tell me how to use the Black and White mode on the Z50? Until now I just had to turn it Black and White in post editing. Thank you! Edit: Ouh nevermind I you already said it in the video xD
Hey, Roland, another great video! Always interesting, esp this one using monochrome mode. I primarily use my Z50 in mono and find that I do a lot less post-processing. Great little camera! A question about your 50-250mm in this vid: did you find yourself concentrating your focal length in any particular area, like in the shorter lengths, or freely use the whole range? Thanks!
@@Walt.2013 hey, thanks so much! Cool to hear you’re using the monochrome profile as well. I tend to shoot more towards the longer focal lengths like 200-250 a lot. Love the reach I can get with that lens. I’ll also shoot some at 50mm if I’m closer to my subject (like when we were petting that dog).
@@RolandKaufmann I went ahead and got myself a vintage Z50 instead, which is the Z FC. I've been thinking of getting a Z50 initially, but I have a thing for vintage things, hence the Z FC.
I’ve been using the 50-250 for over 2 years now and it still blows me away. The built in VR makes it so so so good on the Z50. I use the viewfinder a lot more when I’m not making POV’s. Kind of depends on the day. If it’s super bright out chances are I’ll use the EVF.
Great video! Can you tell me what camera settings you used for this POV? I've also had a Nikon Z50 since yesterday and I want to take such great pictures with my camera. Best regards from Germany. Michael
@@MichaelSchaefer-ir6gm hey Michael, I shoot these photos in the Monochrome picture profile on the Z50. Shoot in manual settings so each photo is a little different. You could probably shoot in Auto if you’re just getting started.
@@RolandKaufmann Good morning Roland, thanks for your info. I'll try it in automatic or A mode first. The camera is now set to Momchrom. Should I set the focus to A or A-C? Which would be more effective for street photography? Best regards Michael
@@MichaelSchaefer-ir6gm I would set the focus to A-C if you’re capturing moving subjects. Come to think of it I’m not sure I’ve ever not used Continuous Autofocus
This was so much fun man!! So cool to see you side of that day!
Got to be a top 3 POV from the year 😎. Thanks for bringing out the silly side, bro!
Oh for sure!!! We haven't laughed that hard on a POV in a while hahaha

This was one of my favourite POVs of the year! Something about the 50-250mm shots in B&W that are just 👌🏼. Which was your favourite photo?

Oh fun! Yes, it’s way too easy to stick around Gastown haha. Have to remind myself that there are other spots to go as well 🤓
