Good tip for big ring-pull cans like those, press your thumb in the middle of the can as you're pulling on the ring, kind of like you're forming an e shape with finger & thumb, this helps with the edge of the lid breaking away from the rim of the can... :)

A tube of sweetened condensed milk should be in every ration ever made! It is calorie dense and very nutritious since it is made from real milk. It goes SO GOOD in coffee or tea. Would definitely improve US MREs with a tiny tube of it included. I would much rather sweetened condensed milk be included instead of the little bottle of Tabasco sauce. I would put it in the coffee, and put whatever remained on the cookies or cake. Definitely a great item for any MRE to have.

Suggestion: Most of those Kasha + Meat type canned products are much better after having warmed them up a bit. Easy to do with a pot of water and a heat source - Just put the cans (closed!) in the water until it starts to simmer, and they're probably already at a nice serving temperature. You can even use the water for coffee or tea (assuming you rinsed off the cans before you put them in the pot!) - a hot plate might burn the contents!
