Great Video Alex! thank you for taking the time to put this video together. It looks like Malco has discontinued these tools. Any suggestions on other techniques to make the lip Shiplap on 1 1/2 ducts?

I’m glad this video was informative for you. Amcraft also makes a shiplap tool but they are usually only available at local hvac supply houses.

I usually order them from amazon but they are currently unavailable, down below I provided a couple of links where you should be able to buy them, you can also go to a local hvac supply shop and they usually have them.

Yes every a/c company in Florida uses Duct Board for residential applications. Its very rare when metal Duct is used in residential, commercial applications however do use the metal duct. Remember u have to install whatever the company u work for tells u to install, so its always good practice to learn how to use both fiberglass duct board and metal.
