I have also been using this device and have some notes for people who are considering it. First off, I have bought cheaper Chinese IPL devices and can confidently say that I did not see any results with those at all. Where as with the Braun device, it works. I am a guy with very dark and course hair so it is taking longer, but it IS working. This thing is legit. Don't waste money getting anything else. Second, don't skimp on eye protection, seriously. A single misflash of this thing can damage your vision. I use some tanning bed goggles with UV protective lenses combined with sun glasses on top of those and close my eyes. Before this, I caught a brief reflected flash from a mirror and my eyes were wonky for hours but didn't seem to have any long lasting damage, this was enough for me to spend a few dollars on the above, and I highly recommend anyone considering these devices do the same. My third point is this device gets quite hot with constant use during a session and in order to prevent itself from overheating, it will slow down the light burst rate. For legs, for example, I find it best do to two or three lines up and down on a section (hip to knee, knee to foot, etc. think of your legs as four sections total) then let it cool down for a bit before continuing. As stated in Jessica's video the inner thigh, and upper back thigh areas are quite sensitive, these areas are usually the only spots where I've turned down the sensitivity. They say not to use it on damaged skin either, but I have anyway (over a cut) with lower sensitivity settings and have been fine. Although you really probably shouldn't do that, I don't make a habit of it. Other notes: I have dropped this thing on accident a few times and it still works, if you can't get it to activate (most likely around the top of your knee or other non-flat areas) remember you can swap to the smaller head that's included, and most importantly, be consistent using this if you expect it to work. Remember, the sooner you start, and the more you keep at it, the less hair your future self will have to deal with. Also remember that if you ever end up in a post apocalyptic setting, you're gonna be one of the only people who doesn't have to desperately scour through the remants of civilization looking for razors, and will instead get to enjoy your smooth and hairless skin as you traverse the wasteland. Always plan ahead!
@@Naaah101 In order to work you need to have the device flash hair in a certain stage of its growth. So doing it more than once a week is more likely to end up hitting the same hair in the same state, doing very little, if any good. However if you space it a week or so apart as recommended the growth state is likely to be different then, and more effective as a result. Admittedly I have use it a more than once a week early on, hoping to speed results, but it didn't seem to many any difference, likely due to the above.

I wish I had a review like this before I got my Braun IPL. I searched so much and I couldn’t find anything about it, except the not very precise video from the Braun website. So I decided to buy it anyway and try it for myself and I loooove it!!! I bless the people who created such a device! I had a horror adolescent life because of my hair all over my body and if I had had something like that years ago (I am 41, btw), my life would have been sooooo much easier! I recommend it with all my heart to all those who struggle with body hair! It is a miracle! Do not wait another minute! It costs a bit, but it’s worth all the money in the world!❤
I second this! It honestly is a game changer and cannot believe I spent so many years worrying about ingrowns as a teenager 🥹. This has changed how I feel about my legs drastically and made life so much easier.
I need more TMI too! Struggling with body hair my entire life. I’m in my 30s. Does this device work as permanent hair removal? I thought ilp should be used 4 weeks apart from each session? Here she says she’s using it every week? Please help! ♥️

@@fk8001 Yes, I did! Got it on sale for Black Friday & I'm so glad I tried it. I've gotten good results & only have a few stray chin hairs now. Got a little lazy & didn't maintain like I should have, consistency is the key. I've done my underarms, forearms, bikini line & the nape of my neck... My neck & bikini stayed irritated so much with shaving, this has helped so much!
Awww I love your explanation! Thank you for making this video, it was incredibly helpful! I have been doing the same dance, trying to decide if I should pay for sessions but its just so much $$$
I got a home laser device years ago and never really got the results i wanted on my armpits (I used it for over 2 years). I built up some tolearance for the pain on my underarms, but it was too painful for me to use on my bikini line (even on the lowest setting). I recently got the Braun IPL, and I've already seen more results in 2 tries on my underarms with this device compared to 2 years with the other laser device. I'm also actually able to use this on my bikini area, too, because it's a lot less painful than the other laser device. I get excited to shave and use this device now 😅 when I used to dread the process before.
Good tips Jessica. Just purchased this device for my wife’s Bday. We will both be using it for bikini and manscaping. I will check your channel now for any lessons learned about the bikini area. It’s with those areas that we have the most interest (and nervousness) Yikes!!! 😮😳
Just like you, I've been thinking about getting an IPL device for armpits and bikini area. I wish you would've talkex more about that. Can you share your bikini/brazilian results? Did it last long? How is the pain level? Will it grow back those awful ingrowns??
I got the kenzzii device like 2 years ago and I used to use it consistently but I wasn’t really seeing any results and Ive gotten back into doing it a lot and Im still really not seeing any results so Im researching some new ones and this one seems really promising
Great video! Well done and thank you. I have just purchased mine braun ipl, waiting for delivery and getting ready to use. You video definitely helped me to understand how it works. I purchased for the exact same reason, armpit and bikini and hopefully I will get same result. I don’t have much hair on my legs but I will probably try it there too. Im afraid slightly about bikini (brasilian) but because I was shaving there for long the hair got wild over there and need to remove it or get it fine at least. I hope my purchase was worth the money as it wasn’t the cheapest device. 🙏🏼
Great video. I just got this device. This was really helpful. Im going to do all my areas once a week, and hopefully, we'll be hair free soon 😁 How is it going for you? Where are you at with your hair growth?
Can you update on your summer no use? Some reviews I’ve read said you need to use as much as weekly to have consistent results. Is that still true for you or do your results last longer?
For me I had to use it weekly at first for 8 to 10 weeks in the areas it worked best. After that it's as and when you want. Hair becomes very scarce and patchy after a few months of use and then it's up to you if you want to top up or just shave off the little tiny random hairs once in a blue moon. It's kind of amazing!
Great Video :) Could you comment on when to use it ? What if you shower afterwards, do you get any stinging/swelling using regular soap/shower gels or if there's a wait time involved before you can wash the area. Thanks !
Sure!! Sorry for the late response- I use after a shower, before putting lotions on and after a fresh shave. I don’t get any stinging or swelling and I use Native body wash. After, I use body lotion per usual. I use the Alba botanica brand body lotion.
Sto valutando di comprarne uno e mi chiedevo se facesse rumore mentre lo si usa, grazie al tuo video ho scoperto che fa il rumore di un phon. Grazie ancora 😘
You didn't talk about the prep before laser? If i remember from my last IPL I was told the skin must be newly shaved (no long hair 2mm, and not waxed because you need the hair root) and clean (no product or random fuzz that can burn the skin). It is often recommended to do it once a month after you are pleased to keep them from growing back. Does this apply to this machine?
I will use this as I want to be hair free. I have watched your videos which helped me to decide to use it. I haven't yet as I want to pair my device but I am having trouble with that atm.
I need even more TMI! I’m worried about getting ingrowns in the Brazilian area because that always happens to me when I shave. Could you still flash over those? Honestly the having to actually shave (instead of wax) is what’s stopping me from getting this.
I am the same. I never shaved down there only waxed and I am scared of getting painful ingrown hairs. I think I’ll use an electric razor rather than a normal blade razor down there.
I went from waxing to having to shave. I have bad skin, so using this once a week was a process. I had to soak in the tub, and then shave everything, so it was a big time investment. You can use it over ingrowns. And it does help overtime, but you really have to be consistent. I stopped using it after a few months and my pubic hair grew back, but not as thick as before. I will probably start using this regularly again.
You can use electric, but you will have a better result with a razor. Electric can still cut your skin, and I have more irritation from that than a blade*
I know a few people who have Phillips and a few who have Braun (I ahve Braun). I think Braun fives faster results and I found it less faff to use as i tried out Phillips too
Are you still using this product? You said you were going to take a break during summer. If so, did you shave then? I'm thinking about buying it but am hesitant. Thanks for the demonstration.
Yes I’m still using it! I took a break all summer and I did experience regrowth but not a lot. I am still planning an IPL update video soon now that I’ve had it over a year!
Hey yes they do grow back but you have the device so without any extra cost you can just do more treatments so it doesn't really matter to me. I've had it for years and I only ever get very random hairs even though I haven't used the device on my legs for like a year after initially using it every week for 2 months and then every month or so and then not really ever at all
Professional laser hair removal grows back also to a certain extent. I’ve had it done at multiple high end locations and after about 4-5 months hairs slowly return a little bit
This was the same model I bought. I'm doing bikini zone too. Was hoping to see some techniques there. It certainly feels spicy when it zaps on the shaft. I go over a couple of times hopefully will see results faster. How did you manage the edges around the inner lips by yourself? Did you accidentally zap them?
Thank you for the review! I wanna try it too. But it makes most sense to wait until fall to start with it cause summer is in a few months, right? (and you said that it doesn’t work on tanned skin and you also can’t tan)
Hey, thank you for your video ❤️ It's really helpful. Just want to know about any updates from you using this device. Do you still use it and did the hairs disappear forever?
hi! :) could you make an update on how this went? did you keep using it or switched to laser instead? please let me know i’m damn curious and i really want to buy one but don’t know if after a year maybe the thing improves or if it is just the same regrowth ?
Are you wearing the pink hous labs lip oil. It really look like and it's stunning on you. I just bought my first device. I'm covered in tattoos so I'm scared. At least I can do my under arms and bikini area.❤
As someone who’s got a lot of regular laser done in the past- yes it hurts like the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life!!!! Everyone always says a rubber band but honestly it feels like someone is stabbing you with a long thick needle repeatedly- waaaay worse than a tattoo!! I am absolutely getting an at home ipl device, not sure if I’ll get brain or Philips yet? I had ipl once at an Asian clinic and was like ‘this isn’t laser!’ I didn’t feel a thing 😂 I’m not scared of ipl after having regular laser 😳
I am very pain sensitive. But laser most of the time bearable. I did it 12 years ago and it was painful and my dermatologist use numbing cream when they increase the laser strength. But when I did a retouched 6 years ago and this year laser machine was updated and it blows very cold air to body so very little pain.
Did you get any burns from it? It sort of looked like rectangular burns in your left armpit when you showed the "after", not positive. Worried about burns after watching reviews of the Nood IPL
I'm just now watching you tube videos mine is coming Monday. I bought the IPL Silk Pro 5 with extra precision head and it comes with the wide one. I am trying to watch videos so I know how to use it. I hope I like it and it's not painful. So you use the lowest setting always or did you eventually move up to the 2nd or 3rd? I got mine on sale from Braun and got 15% off plus 5% back from Rakuten so I thought I got a good deal so I got the most expensive one with the most attachments.
I didn’t have glasses but looked up the VLT (visible light transmission) and most laser goggles were 7% which happen to be the same VLT as my darkest Anon snowboard goggles so I’m using those instead.
Once a week for the first 8-10 weeks at least. Then it's up to you if you've missed hairs etc and depending on the results. You can then do it less often or continue weekly if you have missed some hairs
To make sure it works do you want it to make that rec flash or not? Is it always flashing red but if the device is completely on the skin you just don't see it?
Hello Jessica. Since I don't find any men to ask about this product , do you recommend it for men , can I do my intimate part with it ? Is it even safe and how painful would it be for a man's area ? @@caricruz3243 are u using it on ur upper lip? i get so much ingrown hair on my upper lip that i was hoping lazer or this ipl technique could help...what do u think?
@@caricruz3243 just wondering how it's going? Considering this for my lip/chin
1 k for upper lip ??? Where on earth did u go to ?!!!!
Anyone have the SkinGenics IPL? That’s the one I have and it was half of how much the Braun is.
Does it work well?
Did it work for you?
Hi, thanks for your video! It was great. I really liked your advice to use your phone to track treatments. Your video gave me the confidence to purchase one myself. Ended up going up with the Brain 3 because it's better for darker skin tones.
Thank you SO much. I just got mine and didn't really know where to start. I appreciate your detailed demonstration!!! Seriously! ❤❤❤
Did you have good results
@beszz1 No, I wasn't consistent with it though 🙏 Good luck to you!
Sold! Perfect video. I so appreciate you demonstrating it. I was going to get the Nood Flasher 2.0, but this video completely changed my mind because of how quickly it works.
Did you have good results? Im considering to buy it
I wish I had a review like this before I got my Braun IPL.
Thank you for sharing this!!! I know so many can relate to your story
Glad i found your comment. May I ask how many years/ sessions ( whole body) 40000 pulses last?
I need more TMI too! Struggling with body hair my entire life. I’m in my 30s. Does this device work as permanent hair removal? I thought ilp should be used 4 weeks apart from each session? Here she says she’s using it every week? Please help! ♥️
I'm sold! Thank you so much for the review & tutorial! Had laser done on my lower face over 10 years ago, but now need a touch up. This machine will cost about the same as a touch up I priced & I can do more areas! Been epilating my under arms for years, so I'm excited to try this! 😆/
Hope you like it!
Did u try it? How was it
@@fk8001 Yes, I did!
It's funny what I'm about to say, but you would make a great English teacher. I'm learning the basics and your way of speaking is beautiful, so clear.
That's so kind!
@@TheJessTayls ☺️💕
When it flashes red that's when it's actually working. That's the intense pulse light. It needs full contact with the skin to work.
I got braun. I'm medium brown skin, it's hard to get it calibrated to my skin, but quite fun when it works well
Amazing! Thank you for the review! I am so sick of waxing my bikini line. I just ordered my Braun and am eagerly awaiting my package!
This was super helpful. Thank you for taking the time to make it so detailed!
I’m glad you found it helpful!
That is amazing!!! Thanks for sharing your experience!
What is the other IPL that does not work for you?
@@dinamedhat2827
Yeah they should have named it so that people can compare but also put in their own experiences.
@Di
It'd help if you included the other brand's name.
@@FocusedFighter777 she is comparing lazer with ipl
Super important to protect eyes when using IPL.
Good tips Jessica. Just purchased this device for my wife’s Bday. We will both be using it for bikini and manscaping. I will check your channel now for any lessons learned about the bikini area. It’s with those areas that we have the most interest (and nervousness) Yikes!!! 😮😳
Did you get any results?
We need updates
Not sure how, but I ended up getting this at a bin store 😅 for $10… I LOVE IT.
This was so straightforward - thank you so much!
Just purchased the braun silk pro. Im scared to use it haha. Thanks for the visual aids!!
This video is exactly what I needed to watch. Seriously considering buying one!
Thanks SO MUCH for your detailed video, it was very helpful! Please let us know what the results are after prolonged use. Thanks again! ❤
This was extremely helpful, thank you!! I'll definitely be ordering this one.
Ive never seen any other perfect armpits. Literally. Amazing....
purchased one a few days ago. did my armpits today. so excited to see the results
Best of luck!
Your video is so helpful and honest, thank you! I bought one and was nervous to try it.
Thank you for sharing 💖 I am almost 95% sold 😋👍
Great video. I just got this device. This was really helpful. Im going to do all my areas once a week, and hopefully, we'll be hair free soon 😁 How is it going for you? Where are you at with your hair growth?
Hi, thank you for the great informative review! Did your results hold up during the summer when you didn't use the device because of the sunlight?
Absolutely great video review. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this post. I was lost till your video. It helped so much
Thank you so much for this review! Ive been really interested in trying one of these IPL products but unsure
Thank you for being so open and honest on how to use! Just bought one after watching your video. Many thanks 😊
With 4ra KXIP's matches are not just games they're battles to win in 4RA and we're all in together till the end
Wowza you are fabulous thanks so much for the detail process! Have this one in my basket 😍
Extremely helpful. Thank you for documenting!
Any updates?!
I will use this as I want to be hair free. I have watched your videos which helped me to decide to use it. I haven't yet as I want to pair my device but I am having trouble with that atm.
It was really helpful, I bought it and hope it will work like at your areas ❤.
This was so detailed and helpful. Thank you so much!
@@maggysday
Yes use electric, it'll help a great deal.
Use electric, it'll help.
Love the video and yes, it's very helpful. Thank you for sharing with us
Seems way faster than my Philips Lumia.
Would you recommended that? I seen is very expensive?
I know a few people who have Phillips and a few who have Braun (I ahve Braun). I think Braun fives faster results and I found it less faff to use as i tried out Phillips too
Are you still using this product? You said you were going to take a break during summer. If so, did you shave then? I'm thinking about buying it but am hesitant. Thanks for the demonstration.
Yes I’m still using it! I took a break all summer and I did experience regrowth but not a lot. I am still planning an IPL update video soon now that I’ve had it over a year!
@@TheJessTayls that would be amazing!!
@@TheJessTaylsDoes the hair eventually all go away or do you have to keep using it forever as maintenance?
Super nice review. did you also used in your face?
I’m surprised you got good results. IPL devices never worked for me, so I ended up just paying for laser hair removal.
I use the Philips Lumia and it works great for me
@@LarsRyeJeppesen Really? All hairs gone permanently?
@@CaptainVideo100 I dont think it's ever really permanent to be honest. I use it 1 x monthly, been doing that for 3+ years now.
@@LarsRyeJeppesen Thats the thing. I think IPL is temporary while laser is semi-permanent.
@@CaptainVideo100 in my case laser has always been just as temporary, unfortunately
What are your results now, a little under a year later? I’ve heard that with at home that hairs can start growing back?
Hey yes they do grow back but you have the device so without any extra cost you can just do more treatments so it doesn't really matter to me. I've had it for years and I only ever get very random hairs even though I haven't used the device on my legs for like a year after initially using it every week for 2 months and then every month or so and then not really ever at all
Professional laser hair removal grows back also to a certain extent. I’ve had it done at multiple high end locations and after about 4-5 months hairs slowly return a little bit
Now that you have paused for the summer, have you had the hair regrow? Your video has been very helpful!
This was so helpful. I’m sold!
I would think so yes! Unless you don’t purposefully darken your skin in the summer and avoid sun exposure as the instructions mention
Good video. I tried kenzzi for a few months and didn't see good results.
Hey, thank you for your video ❤️ It's really helpful. Just want to know about any updates from you using this device. Do you still use it and did the hairs disappear forever?
No they don’t disappear forever!! I am going to have an update video this summer 🫶🏼
@@TheJessTayls, looking forward 😊
update please!!
hi! :) could you make an update on how this went? did you keep using it or switched to laser instead? please let me know i’m damn curious and i really want to buy one but don’t know if after a year maybe the thing improves or if it is just the same regrowth ?
Regrowth is minimal, but you have to be consistent. Every body differs a bit. I’ve had more success on certain body parts than others.
Are you wearing the pink hous labs lip oil. It really look like and it's stunning on you. I just bought my first device. I'm covered in tattoos so I'm scared. At least I can do my under arms and bikini area.❤
I will be jumping from philips lumea advanced to ipl brown 5 pro its way to faster 😍
Thanks for the vid. Excellent. Can I ask why sometimes it have a orange flash light sometimes don't? Cheers
I think it’s just the way my camera picked up the light!
I’ve had laser done and a tattoo and the tattoo hurt so much more than the laser. The laser was pretty painless. Maybe it depends on type of laser?
I agree, i hated when they mentioned painless laser, it was the worst pain in my life I felt like dying and coming back to life
I am very pain sensitive. But laser most of the time bearable. I did it 12 years ago and it was painful and my dermatologist use numbing cream when they increase the laser strength. But when I did a retouched 6 years ago and this year laser machine was updated and it blows very cold air to body so very little pain.
@@AnhLe-zl4ws
Depends on the person's pain tolerance I'm sure.
Everyone would need to try it in order to truly know.

The light looks intense, does this need safety glasses?
It is recommended you wear very dark sunglasses, yes
Did you get any burns from it? It sort of looked like rectangular burns in your left armpit when you showed the "after", not positive. Worried about burns after watching reviews of the Nood IPL
Hey! Nope I’ve never had any burns. Probably just my armpit skin 😅 I’m still using it occasionally to this day and haven’t had any issues!
Hiii! Love your video❤ do we have to shave before we do it?
Yes you do
I'm just now watching you tube videos mine is coming Monday.
Did you like it? Is it painful?
Is there a update after the summer? 🥰
This is so helpful thank you !
I'm so glad!
This is helpful, thanks Jessica!
Did you get any pigmentation coloration or any scarring?
Can you do a review on the Monsia Silk Series?
I didn’t have glasses but looked up the VLT (visible light transmission) and most laser goggles were 7% which happen to be the same VLT as my darkest Anon snowboard goggles so I’m using those instead.
No need to wear the protective glasses?
I have an alternative brand but the same device that was much less think it was called skin genic ipl. Been working miracles for me.
Does it not get hot after a while? Do you use it for the face as well?
Hey I just got it and I will start my treatment soon. How often should I do it?
Once a week for the first 8-10 weeks at least. Then it's up to you if you've missed hairs etc and depending on the results. You can then do it less often or continue weekly if you have missed some hairs
Hiya! How do you clean the device? I have it and I know it says to use a lint free clothes, but the windows are so tiny :/
I wax myself no problem other than it taking too long tho . Sorry if I bothered you. Have a great day.
Is there a specific way to turn it off or you just unplug it?
