I have it from 2020 bought it before the start of corona virus thing… didn’t expect such good results. P.s. I have pale skin and dark hair, but my arms and shoulders, sometimes face, get tanned in summer and it’s still works, great. It works great for a face hair, too. But don’t forget to put the sunscreen if you do this during the summer! Otherwise, you will have very pale freckles.
May I ask how often you use and which body parts? I’m asking cause I got mine 1 year ago and in the 10 month mark it started misfiring that I had to send it to them to repair - good news is- Braun sent me a new one! Wondering though how long is 400,000 flashes cause I didn’t expect to have to get a new one every year.
@@sofiaeveryday I have ordered one since my comment, and am looking forward to starting to use it, initially weekly; on my legs, arms, underarm to begin with. Thanks again xxx
My skin is soo much delicate and sensitive but due to pcos I've got hair growth on my chest also it was not thick but yeah it is increasing and hair growth on my upper lip and chin. If I'm going to use this device will it be safe? Or if after i stop using it does it going to make my hairs grow hard and black? Does it going to irritate my skin area around my breasts?? I'm 😢in so much pain due to endless waxing. Please give me honest answer without any paid promotion because I've been suffering from PCOS and that's why im asking does they will come back hard and black?
@kritikabdas5981 I also have PCOS and the hair on my face is getting worse. I just tried it, got the product yesterday and shaved my face this morning. I just did it on the lowest setting (I’m pretty pale, maybe a little darker than the girl in the video). It was painless, just a little burn on the second pass over my face. I left a small patch on my armpit when I shaved this morning to test. When I zapped it at the lowest setting the first time all the hair got really short and I could smell it burning. The second pass all the hair was gone. Overall it wasn’t painful, but pretty warm and a little off putting on the second pass. Like I’d been in the sun a bit and could tell I was getting a bit crisp. Totally easier and better than shaving though. I’m hoping this eliminates my need to shave my armpits and face. If it does I’ll probably move on to using it on my legs.
Hello, I would like to know how is ot working on upper lip. As you said, I am scared to shave it. I have mostly peach hair there and few darker. I would love to rid of it.
Yes you do - you have to. The skin should be hair free, but the "root" of the hair needs to be inside the skin (because that's what the light will be hitting and destroying, over the sessions). By flashing the root, the hair will not grow, and over time become weaker and cease to form/form way less often, so you won't have hair growing all the time :) So you need to shave + cannot use any other method of removing hair, that removes the root of the hair (like waxing)
What’s the verdict? I went with the Braun, irs been 1 year and it’s changed my life as a middle eastern. I am still curious about other devices - though I love the Braun!
Please, Do you shave between the sessions of IPL ? What Frequency of use a week ? And please is it normal that it has been a week from when I first used IPL braun and I feel no changes at all?? (I only used it one time)
You can shave whenever you want/need to. Only 1 a week, every week for the first 3 months. After that you use it whenever you need to (once a month/once every 3 or 6 months). It’s normal :) keep using it every week for the first 3 months
Yes I do everything on the bikini área and line 🤗 just always be careful since it's a sensitive area. And be aware of the tone of skin - and whether it's in the range that the machina allows
If it’s in the first 12 weeks, you should do IPL (only razor where you have hair out). After the 12 weeks you can razor + IPL only when hair comes out (in some areas it’s more stubborn/comes back faster for a longer time than others)
Yes sure but be careful not to flash the lip, as it’s naturally a darker colour and can burn you. Because the upper lip has very light hair, it can take long/always need some maintenance. I still flash it anyway :)
Hey Sofia, where do you get that exfoliator glove thingy? Trying to gift this for my mother. Do you use a gel when you're doing it for upper lip/face area by chance? Thank you
I buy mine at the local supermarket, or on Amazon 🤗 with this machine the skin should be dry, so no gel. It works well and doesn’t hurt, just make sure not to flash the lip skin (because it’s darker)
thank you so much for this review! I really appreciate it. I am wondering: On places like my legs that I already shave, I am not worried about that. But on places like my chin, I am concerned about shaving it for the first time and what if the IPL doesn't work? Then will I have stubble on my chin and face?
I had the same concern with my upper lip! So what I did was: I never shave it, I wax it like I did before. And then, starting 1 week after waxing, I use the IPL in the area once a week. The results are slow and I still have the same routine every month or so (because the hair is so thin) but it does come way less often now :)
I have just purchased the product and only just used it for first time - but on my face I have just snipped the hairs off with nail scissors (that is the problematic long darker ones). When I used to have salon laser treatment this was what they recommended. No I definately don't want to shave my face as that would remove on the fine down, lighter hair too.
Do you have it on the highest intensity? You can change the intensity on the feather icon. If you have the lowest intensity on, the sensoadaptor will never go high. Let me know :)
I would say it depends of how it feels - as a general rule i would say 2, but if with one flash the area feels warm I would say do rather once and as your progress in the weeks you will naturally be able to do twice in the same area. It's better to be safe and patient :)
I purchased this product with my own money after watching a lot of RUclips reviews. I was not sponsored by this or other IPL brand until the date I’m writing this comment. Would you recommend do the IPL at home but in the future the laser in clinic to make it permanent?
It's not a bad idea - because laser gets cheaper and cheaper as the years go by. And if you start out by using the IPL at home, I can imagine that you would need treatments less often right when you do transition to laser - which again, will be cheaper and less inconvenient :)
@@sofiaeveryday thank you so much for replying. I was so confused if i should go for it or not. I am super hairy so I dont want to run out of flashes fast.
Generally you can, I never have a problem with it - but pay attention to what your skin feels like. As long as you have no strange sensation, it is totally fine :)
Yes totally normal. Start with the more sensitive areas so you don't have it hot where it's harder for you. If you need, take a break to have it cool down or do different areas on different days (it's not that hot, but in case you are extra sensitive as you are starting our)
Yes absolutely. I used it in the whole bikini line and had no issues 🤗 always be careful of course, and maybe start there so it's not too hot. But it works wonders!
Yes I had the same question, and in the instructions it says it is not recommended actually - because it's a sensitive area and also the skin tone can be darker, and therefore more risky. But I tried it myself and have had no issues :) I started out by testing a small area though - so always be careful and judge for yourself
Giiiirl absolutely I bought it and use it and swear by it! I don't gain anything by saying this. This is a much better investment than all of the laser sessions I paid for years ago 😭😭😭😭

Guys I'm really skeptical about it, should I buy braun or philips lumea. For both I've heard good reviews about it
From what I gather lumea is also a good product, so I guess you will also get good results with it :) I don’t think you can go wrong with either

My Ipl head has no glass is it safe its the same as hers but in white color

What about moles, Do you cover them ? if so what do you use for that
Yes never flash the moles! I usually flash around them, or you can paint them with a white makeup pencil. But I think it’s safer to flash around them
Hello when you flash it's red or blue??
It's red. Why do you ask? I'm curious 🧐
