Cool mould. I'm a waterman and working with some plywood and putting them in the mould and turning them into "Hawaiian Paepo'o boards (paipo board)" and I'm trying to break down the sizes of wood from half inch to 3/8" for mould. But I like your 1/8-1/8 with glass between and into the mould. Epic vid bro! Thanks
If you do an epoxy top coat, (West System) and then white fine sand in a salt shaker to sprinkle onto the top coat epoxy, it gives you an almost permanent non skid. You can also do a stain on the wood or a graphic on the deck before hand.
Cool I got to try that! I'm glad I'm not the only one that is regular and that pushes with my back foot! If anything you should sell materials in packs for the polyurethane, and fiberglass! Great video
Thanks. That really helped me, you're boards are awesome and your artwork is amazing, but please can you make a video on how to make your press? Thanks :)
Any recommendations on how to reinforce the board to make it less "bouncy". I've tried to put another layer of fiberglass and it didn't really seem to make it any stiffer. Thanks!
Suggestion for you single fliptail long board I dont see them anywhere. I bought an old longboard then recutting it to my style then going to airbrush it. its a single tail wood board then going to put some high quality trucks and wheels.
nice! definately would like to try! seems more costly to make then to buy tho i guess if you make alot or if you really want that custom shape have you tried making a drop down? thatd be sick aha
Dude that is a fantastic deck, it looks like one you could pick up in a store! I can't wait for the video on how to make the press, that way I can really start from scratch. I myself was thinking about getting into taking some of my older beat up decks and making them into cruiser/mini cruiser decks, do you have any tips you could pass on?
What's the longest board you've made with glass. It looks like you get tons of flex so I'm curious what size would the center start dragging the ground.
is it just me who's yt compress this vid horazontally, coz i know original trucks are wider than that, and at the beginning the long board looked longer than the press itt was made in, any suggestions on ways to watch it right?
Great! I was wondering if that fiberglass sheet you placed was the one they're talking about, the Pre-tensioned thing? I can't find any videos relating to that in here.. :(
Please put up a vid of how you built your press!!! SO MUCH FLEX in the composite build-up! AWESOME!! I missed it - how many layers of 1/8" ply? The Press is the genius. How did you build the camber and concavity into the press? It's important to know...
with just 3 veneers, do any need to be cross grain? or cause i know with a solid wood board you need cross grain veneers. best tutorial vid out there btw!!
Seems way to flexy for my liking if you use more plys of birch will it make the board harder? I use 4 to 5 plys and always a cross grain but I haven't been fiberglassing. It's something I want to try if it makes them stonger.
Hey, I'm building longboards in my shop class, and I really want one to be a flexy, surfy feeling longboard, but I only have access to maple and bamboo. I can use up to 4 plies maple, 3 bamboo. What deck layup would be good for a 250 lbs, 6'3 rider?
Can you go over how you put the boards together in a bit more detail? I'm trying to build a deck myself with 1/4" Baltic birch, and I wanna do this, but I wanna make sure I do it correctly. And what were the dimensions of your deck?
Agreed and it is. The cost is funny... I can make 8 full decks for around $12 with about two days of labor. Or I could make one deck for $25 it all depends on how many you want to make with the material you buy. One sheet of 1/4"x4x8 cut into 9 equal pieces and 6 sheets of 1/8"x30"x48" baltic birch gets me 9 decks. thqat $120 in wood material divided by 9 is $12.20 plus $17 for a gallon of wood glue. I can make all 9 decks simultaneously and have them done in about 2-3 days. Pretty cheap!
That's sick dude. Your a wicked artist. I've never seen something like that in a homeade board
Cool mould. On one of my favorites I used 1/8" 1/4" 1/8" with wood glue, no fiberglass. Just about the best board I've ever made
That jig is very well built.
Great vid! Would love to see a how to make that press ;)
I thought I was the only one that rides like that
Tons of patience, congrats, well done!
Pretty dope video! Thanks for sharing!
Best video I have seen! Good work!
Great video, great talent!!!

Awesome vid

Resin is about 17, hardener 5 cloth 5 ish... and thanks, it's a fun ride
Make a video on your wooden press frame please. Great vid btw!
what kind of resin, hardener, and fiberglass did you use?
great video simple a fast
Freakin' genious!!! Fighting off the customers!!! Nice problem to have! :-)
i want that press!!!! :P amazing build!
Very helpful video! What's the blue stuff you used on your press?
good work bro
If I want to keep a sticker on the top of the board in a grip tape cutout should I clear coat it before or after I apply the sticker?
Hey with that press are you able to easily change your concave, camber, ect?
Hey, great video, one question though, could i use fiberglash mat instead of cloth?
What brand resin and hardener are you using?
could you send me the general idea for making a press im trying to make a few boards and wanted some pointers
Lol the flex though it's like a penny board :3 this is awesome nice video
How did you make that design on your first longboard (the black with hexagons)?
pardon my ignorance I'm definitely new to long boards but that seems way to flexible. Nice job building it though.
Thanks. That really helped me, you're boards are awesome and your artwork is amazing, but please can you make a video on how to make your press? Thanks :)
What type of epoxy did u use?
HOW DID YOU MADE THE PRESS
If you were to make a downhill board how many plies of the 1/8 baltic birch would you use?
hermoso!
Any recommendations on how to reinforce the board to make it less "bouncy". I've tried to put another layer of fiberglass and it didn't really seem to make it any stiffer. Thanks!
Are you using any glue for wood at all or are u only using epoxi between the layers?
Suggestion for you single fliptail long board I dont see them anywhere. I bought an old longboard then recutting it to my style then going to airbrush it.
its a single tail wood board then going to put some high quality trucks and wheels.
cool!
nice! definately would like to try! seems more costly to make then to buy tho i guess if you make alot or if you really want that custom shape have you tried making a drop down? thatd be sick aha
What kind of resin did you use
also what specific type of epoxy do you use?
what did you use to make the mold?
what is the effect of the fiberglas in the deck?
Ever thought about using honeycomb for light weight? Or would it not provide the flex you need?
Did you say polyuréthane for the clear coat?
Dude that is a fantastic deck, it looks like one you could pick up in a store!
I can't wait for the video on how to make the press, that way I can really start from scratch.

Have you ever tried to to heat up a set of trucks to bend them to make camber in the wheels ?
do you usually only use 3 sheets of wood of do some of your boards use more?
Did your fiber glass dry clear or yellow?
is it just me who's yt compress this vid horazontally, coz i know original trucks are wider than that, and at the beginning the long board looked longer than the press itt was made in, any suggestions on ways to watch it right?
Thanks mang. 3 layers of 1/8" ply. Pretty complicated process on the mould. Video to come on that.
What trucks and wheels you get
Great! I was wondering if that fiberglass sheet you placed was the one they're talking about, the Pre-tensioned thing? I can't find any videos relating to that in here.. :(
Where did you get your plywood?
Please put up a vid of how you built your press!!! SO MUCH FLEX in the composite build-up! AWESOME!!

Can you do it with a normal skateboard because I want tomake a lighter weight skateboard that won't break as easy as another's
I'm like 205lbs. I'm after quite a stiff deck, just with a bit of flex to help with carving, pumping etc etc. What layers would you recomend for me ?
hi and what material is made the Board
what would you say are the advantages of having a fiberglass board as opposed to using basic wood glue?
how do you make this more or less flexible
Seems way to flexy for my liking if you use more plys of birch will it make the board harder? I use 4 to 5 plys and always a cross grain but I haven't been fiberglassing. It's something I want to try if it makes them stonger.
i have to say that they press you have is impressive, how long it took you to make it and how much it cost to make?
What type of wood did you use and and how many pieces.
what wood did you use ?
What kind of trucks are those?
Could you make a video about how you made the press?
Show how you made the press please would be much appreciated

Can you go over how you put the boards together in a bit more detail? I'm trying to build a deck myself with 1/4" Baltic birch, and I wanna do this, but I wanna make sure I do it correctly. And what were the dimensions of your deck?
What are the specs on the fiberglass you used? Specifically the thickness of it and maybe the brand and where you got it?
Thanks
PLEASE HELP ME !!!! I am halfway through my project …..Please te me the GSM of the Fibreglass fabric ….Awesme Video..!!
how much did all the tools and supplies cost, roughly?
How much epoxy did you use?
Agreed and it is. The cost is funny... I can make 8 full decks for around $12 with about two days of labor. +EmancipatedSquirrel he is using original trucks by original longboards
