In the southwest you'll probably have to water your wintered plants. Great video.

I hope that horticultural oil can help with lemons overwintering. Thanks for the product suggestion!

Great information! Just bought my first fig tree and I'm hoping to learn as much info as I can. I'm in zone 7b. I don't have a green house but is there a way to winterize a fig tree and be able to keep it outdoors? I do have a garage but it has no light.

When do you put the fig trees in a bigger pot to stop them getting root bound? If you did it now, the Fig Trees would have room to grow roots while dormant?

Soil temps need to be over 50 for root growth. 70 is better. 80 is best. I don't plant them because they're root bound. I haven't had a tree yet that was too old for its pot.

Thank you for the video. While the fig trees are dormant, how often do you water them if you have to?

    • @RossRaddi

Can you bring the small fig trees in the house and keep it growing all winter?

Hi I live in Oklahoma and my fig trees in container are still completely green and the weather forecast shows that at least For the next ten days the temperature will goes down to low 20's at night. I was wondering if this night freezing would damage my fig plants. Should I take them to the garage while the are green and before dormancy to protect the or should I leave them out during these freezing temperature until they are completely dormant and then take them in the garage for winter storage. I would really appreciate your guidance.

You seem to know a lot about figs, but you just talk to much. Please get to the point and no repeating.
