Name change of the show to High Peak Nissan NX? I think it is brilliantly funny that the scrap yard is next to your mechanics. There's an energy saving tip for anyone setting up either a scrapyard or a mechanics workshop - find that other neighbour. Soon, Nissan might be onto you looking for a car for their museum. Maybe not, as they are not that flush at the moment. Have fun with the car blending.
I said last time that you would become Mr Nissan 100 NX Man and that has been proved right. Nice job and I can understand your enthusiasm for the car and keeping it to take to car shows. Await the next update on it from you. 😀👍👍

Hmm, restores an old car and starts taking it to car shows. . . A year or two down the line I can see Matt driving an immaculate pre-war Armstrong Siddeley, or perhaps a Lagonda, and enjoying every minute of it.
@@davidwelch6796 I saw a Lagonda last week in Newark, I’ve never see one in the flesh so I had to get a photo. (1976-90 version)

Nearby where I go to work on Monday’s there is a white 100NX and it always makes me smile. Such a gorgeous little thing and great to see them taken into care. Hope you can keep restoring these in future!!

nice one matt for saving these 100nx's, these were rare back in the 90's, so ultra rare now.

I only learnt several years ago, after over 20 years of driving, that the petrol pump icon on the dash slows you which side the flap is. If the nozzle is on the right of the pump icon, your flap is on the right, and vice versa.

When I first saw the car, I thought I would hear Matt say, a nice wash and nice plates will brighten this car up 🤣♥ I am glad it has been saved and back on the road. The Valeter loved the car added bonus. I have not seen the Wonder Grip van in a while, has it moved on to a new home? Looking forward to the next videos on the other 2 and what you do with them.
My wife had one of these, same colour and year, second hand. It was an amazing drive, pretty.much bullet proof and one of her favourite cars ever. I didn't even know there were any still around!

When you said it had 12 months of MOT with no advisory items I uttered a 'what!?' out loud. I did not see that one coming.
I never 'tire' of seeing you 'acquire' 100NX's sank in a 'mire' a road of neglect and tangled 'briar' all shall be well because you're a 'tryer'! BBY is a survivor, a keeper - You've rescued it!
1st service was done 3 yrs before registration. I think under the stickers the number plates will be dan perkins nissan aka dan dan the nissan man if so they are original for the car!! . History sadly is As genuine as Katie prices mother of the year award!!
Definitely not a Cornwall car. BY at end of the registration number suggests it started life in London and would have been likely to have been a Dan Perkins supplied car. As you rightly state he became Dan Dan the Nissan Man, having previously been Dan Dan the Datsun Man!
The current plates might be original? they have the larger pre-2001 font, it would look wrong with post-2001 smaller font. I'd recommend keeping the current plates (but remove the stickers), or fit period correct pre-2001 style plates.

That car-wash guy really is a gem, with his positive attitude.
I had the same bug with Bluebirds, had 7 at one point. Always hated seeing them getting scrapped after they were pilfered for parts.
The vehicle check showed the chassis as B13 so the Sunny part of the MOT description makes sense as the B13 followed from the B12 Sunny Coupe and probably shared the same chassis. (I had 2 B12s too at one point, great cars)
Great video, and this is a series I am following with much interest
I can totally see why these cars slipped under the radar and haven't had a revival like other cars of the 90s but at the same time I see the appeal and they are cool. The revival starts here! I'm so glad you've saved these cars, they are totally worthy of the effort and it's fantastic to know they'll be out and about on the road for many more years.
And relax 😉 back to saving lovely old motors! I love all of your content but I personally love it when you save a used and abused car and breathe new life into it 👏🏻👍🏻
Those wheels look much better than stock (which to me look a lot like plastic hubcaps on steel).
I remember seeing a white one of these in a scrapyard in the late 90s, at which point it seemed quite a new car to be there. So it's great to see you bringing some of these cars back to life all this time later. I've always liked the look and slight eccentricity of the 100NX. Thank you!

The music playing when having it washed took me back to playing Gran Turismo & where you periodically washed & serviced the cars for an extra 10-15 hp 😂 I wasn't sure on the looks to start with but its grown on me 👍
The heater control with the little button is the same that was fitted to the K11 nissan Micra limited edition inspiration you either got a sunroof or Aircon and the Reg on that that I once had was a T reg so maybe the Aircon parts would be the same great to see you saving the cars 👍

from me, replacing the rear screen, wouldn't it have been easier to take the complete hatchback off the donor and then just changed the lock over, again raid the donor for all you need, l'd keep some of the more rare bits off it like the roof panels, interior trims, dashboard and clocks etc, but great car and video, look forward to seeing it after Jimmy the magician has worked his magic and the wheel refurb
I did think about that but the tailgate on the donor is quite rusty

Matt, love that you have saved it. Do check the rear suspension turrets are ok. Just pullback the carpet in the boot. You don't want to be driving along g and for the turret to split and have a crash. Message me if you need any photos of where to look.

You are a star. 90's Japanese cars are so interesting and just so good, I have a '91 Honda Aerodeck that I've owned since 1998. Maybe we'll meet at a car show in the future! Rustival and the Festival of the Unexceptional beckon surely.

Awesome rescue of this 100NX & will be worth every penny. I hope you're putting in SUPER unleaded E5 in this, as the newer E10 rubbish wil destroy it.
I like this series of videos - good to see you keeping the older cars on the road. If you can get 2 good ones out of the 4, you are doing well. I would leave it like it is, nice patina.

I can just see the new signs going up outside the High peaks showroom. "High Peaks Nissan". Quality rare historic cars. It started by accident, but became the 100NX European headquarters
