We watched his series and have a new found respect for our British farmers, and if paying a bit extra means getting quality food then I’m definitely IN . I say “ well done JC “ and wish him success in all he does. That pub looked amazing, and I’ll bet it’s going to be fantastic at Christmas. Thanks Gary for being so fair in your reviews .
I agree Clarkson has really educated the UK about farmers and their struggles, its so nice to see him selling nothing but British Food, I truly love that.
I don't disagree that Clarkson has worked hard on his new series. But please don't forget he's getting paid millions for his efforts, and everything he is doing is to further the success of his projects (quite fairly). He is doing good things for farming, but he sure ain't doing them for free, or for the sake of the other farmers.
I want to be honest here, he has traveled most of the world, so when you want a good burger, he's had hundreds from all over the world, so if he's going to sell a burger, it's got his name on it. Of course you want to sell what you would eat.
Thanks for the review Gaz. I have always liked supporting local producers. Giving by buying something a little more expensive is far better than having a cheap plate of yuk and someone walking around with a collection bucket. The bonus is that JC is a brand and a highly scrutinised one, and he will be paying the farmers proper money for the produce. Win win!
This is the thing …… fresh quality food is expensive. It’s not imported, highly processed or subsidised by the government…….its real food. But you’re also paying to employ staff, supporting local businesses and economy. I think it’s brilliant and well worth the cost and quality
@@overheatedeskim054 no pal, you're not. 30 thick slices of bacon, 10 large brioche rolls, 10 plates, 10 napkins and then fund cooking them and serving them. Nevermind the clearing of the waste afterwards and the insurance/staff costs. Dream on.
Hi Gary, I’m an Aussie who has started making pork pies for a bunch of my British mates who get together for a few pints every week or so. They were whinging about not being able to buy a decent pork pie, so I decided to have a go. I order in pigs trotters to make the gelatine, and use local suet for the pastry. I am absolutely delighted to report that I have made a rod for my own back! They love em. No more whinging poms! Well,,,,,,,until it gets hot anyway!🤣🤣🤣👍🙏🦘
As a Brit here for a good few years, there are just some things that either we don't have here or it's crap. You can be sure, if you can do it right, you can make a mate for life with a decent home made pork pie.

Having watched Clarkson's Farm, I think Jeremy is a decent man. Watching him comfort his partner as she held a dead piglet was tear jerking. On the other hand, when Caleb called him a "f*****g idiot" he didn't react, because he knew that the 21 year old knew more about farming than he ever would. Just taking on the running of a farm at an age when most men would be thinking about retirement is an inspiration to me, and Clarkson's attitude and determination in the face of a local government witch hunt is admirable
Bear in mind that he probably earns more from Amazon per series of Clarksons farm than the farm is worth. So not only is he a good advocate for British farmers it's a good business move for him. Win win!
Published 7 Feb 2020 JEREMY CLARKSON: 'When Caroline Flack announced on her Instagram story: "I'm going to speak today… mine and my families life is no longer up for entertainment and gossip." “Wow,” I thought. “That’s amazing. She doesn’t know how to use apostrophes.” Caroline Flack was found dead at her home in Stoke Newington, London, on 15 February 2020.
I love Clarkson and everything he's done for the local food producers, I never understood the council's objections to the business in the first place. I was lucky enough recently to visit his Diddlysquat farm and also the brewery, loved the whole experience and also the food. But one thing to note, is the huge crowds that always seem to be there. They come in masses all day, you just can't help but love Clarkson and I think the crowds there show that. It looks like he has this pub's outside seating pretty well organised for vast numbers as well, something very lacking normally. I hope his new pub does well.
I've known this place as The Windmill for many years and its great to see JC giving it a new lease of life. He has his detractors but its wonderful to seeing him employing local people selling local food and I wish him every success. Like Gary says, quality doesn't come cheap and you're paying for so much more than the food, I can't wait to give it a go!
I think everyone in Carterton and Witney have been to a Wedding at the Windmill at some point! Shame they dont still have the old lady with the desert trolly.
That's what I love about your reviews Gary...open & honest & not carried away by the star status above the door. I'd personally have given Jeremy another half point just for being such a free thinking & tireless pioneer of our great British farmers. Anyway great show as always cheers chum
It looks great, the food and the surroundings and, as always a sensible review. More importantly on this occasion, the boost this will give to the local farmers and suppliers is immeasurable, I hope more people follow his lead (sorry Gary, I went off piste).
So nice to hear an honest assessment of a new pub. Jeremy spent a lot of money on the property and the renovations. It may be expensive, but as you say Gary, the quality and the ambiance are top drawer. With all of the crap that Jeremy and the farmers in the area have had to put up with, I wish him and them every success. The area is lucky to have him investing.
@paulj7497 I'd say you're being a rather over-sensitive Scottish person. I'm sure the more successful this channel becomes, the more he'll travel. Btw, this comment is written by a Scotsman.
Well done Jeremy for giving recognition to British farmers who have been criminally neglected by the British people and the British government !! Our farmers were the hardest working and honestly produced the best food that money could buy , and we were one of the healthiest nations as a result. Now no wonder that there is so much illness diabetes and heart conditions , Jeremy Clarkson is doing a fantastic job and setting an example that all pubs should follow , he should be given a knighthood .
Years ago farmers used to have students and old folk helping around the farm then they latched on to cheap immigrant workers and got rid of the locals, so it's no surprise that hard pressed workers in the UK want to buy cheap foreign imports it's just the other side of the coin, also to many small farmers run uneconomical businesses because they are inefficient!?!
I'd rather pay high prices for good food than low prices for rubbish. This looked lovely. Another great and entertaining video from you, Gary. It's good to see you venturing out of the smoke. 👍
I think the price is fair for proper good food. Don't forget we pay £5 or something for a big mac which is full of rubbish. Great produce that tastes fantastic here. Great video as always, Gary.
You're talking 8ish quid for a large big Mac meal these days. I used to love a maccies but I can't justify paying that for fast food when I can get a better burger from my local burger van for 6 quid
Mcdonalds actual beef burgers are 100% British beef though. They just add salt and pepper. For me they are not thick enough and the garnish they put on them is bland
Visiting this new pub turned out to be a good idea. People are very interested in hearing your opinion. You were happy with everything you consumed, which bodes well for when the time comes that you will return for the pub lunch. I am afraid that I would not like to join hoards of people queuing to get into a pub. Everybody else does not seem to mind. Thank you very much for showing us!
I think I'd wait a while in hope that the pub becomes less popular. It would be interesting to find out how long it would take before you could buy anything (I realize that would depend on how long the queue was when you joined).
One thing i like is all the local produce and supporting the local farmers. To me that is worth paying the extra. The food looks great and the location looks great too. From Australia 🇦🇺
I used to go here often when it was a Carvery, living so locally and also called 'The Windmill'. It was a beautiful pub with lovely décor and stunning views. I always used to think that it had so much potential. It's lovely to see it being taken over by JC. However, I am saddened by the fact that so many would travel so far to a pub and would miss so many on the way and probably most likely not give their locals a second thought. Being owned by JC is the attraction but it's shame it never drew attention before. That being said, when it was a Carvery, it was packed as it was the best for miles. The queues are absurd, it has to be said. There are so many more pubs that offer very similar foods and drinks, but as I say, it's the bragging rights of going to JC's pub. I think it's wonderful and hopefully it'll calm down before I set foot in the establishment once more. I'm very keen to try and think it's lovely that it's getting the recognition it deserves. Well done JC, it looks wonderful.
Not a Clarkson fan but i would happily go to that beautiful place and support the British farmers. I would also not begrudge paying those prices for fresh, home grown i e. British, farm produce.
Fair play to what Clarkson and his team are doing. They are genuinely trying to make a difference and help those aroind them. 13 mins 14 secs it's cheerful Charlie
I love Jeremy and his love of British produce. As far as Ketchup goes we grow fantastic tomatoes here and I've made loads of Ketchup, so that should be on the menu
I think its the right move by JC. If I was local I would go to support Farmers and that food looks amazing. Pricing is not that high really as in London you pay the same for poorer quality. Pub itself looks amazing. Putting his money where his mouth is, supporting local produce, local farmers with a nice pub. Well done sir!
Someone has got to say it , this reviews was " Top Gear " Hats off to Jeremy for what he is doing for farmers , and hats of to you Gazza .Great stuff .
I was in that tent in 2017 watching The Grand Tour being filmed! I applied and was successful and took my Dad, it was an incredible experience! We appear very briefly on the show, It’s session 2 episode 3 called Bah-Humbu-Atti. Clarkson was amazing, he’s a real character and actually a very nice pleasant man.
Looks very similar to a local maker here in the Forest of Dean called cinderhill farm. I do wonder if they supply Jeremey. I would highly recommend seeking their products out, they are really the best you can buy.
Love him or hate him he massively promotes local and british produce despite all the adversity he's faced we need to promote local and british and appreciate the quality shame the main menu wasn't on but for good quality I think this is a good place to try and a lovely location . As always a great review thank you
Strange that all the 'people' who dislike JC seem to be, in turn disliked by almost everyone,I've never heard someone I like and respect say anything bad about him.
You people are so easy to con. Jeremy supported Brexit, Boris, and the Tories. Worked for Amazon and Rupert Murdoch. He’s blaming Starmer for problems caused by the things and people Jeremy supported.
@@DonWan47 Exactly this. Some folk have short memories, no volume button or no moral compass. I'm sure his reasons for doing this are just as much about flag-waving and politicising as his obvious love of farming, during what is a frankly thankless time for farmers whoever is in power. I watched his first series during lockdown and arrived at the opinion that farmers work very hard. They are the people who provide food for us and the independent hospitality businesses already struggling through the worst cost of living crisis in living memory (since the 70s) deserve far more attention than Clarkson. Maybe they'll get it, once this novelty wears off. I wonder if the surrounding pubs and restaurants are coining it in with this all happening?
Hats off to Clarkson and how far he has come with this project. I saw some of Clarkson's Farm series, and it has been quite uphill. Thanks for your review, Gary. /A Dane

Yes it was very busy and there was a lot of outside seating but at least the seating was well spaced out. I hate when a place crams as many tables as they can into a small outside seating area or beer garden and you end up knocking elbows with people at the next table. I applaud JC supporting local farmers. Makes a pleasant change from the usual activist culprits that knock everything we hold dear. Everything looked delicious, good quality and good portions.
Droolin from South India 🤤 Quality everything and a fantastic review by Gary on this place✌️ Cheers to Jeremy Clarkson for putting up such a beautiful place with amazing green space surroundings while also wholesomely supporting the local British farmers ❤️🙌🥂👌 🎉
Clarkson has been a hero of mine for decades. He’s done so much to raise awareness about farming and the tyrannical governments that fail them and in turn all of us.
The location and decor looks fabulous. The food on offer was pricey but its local and good quality. Will be nice to see the gammon with bubble and squeak when the teething troubles are sorted. Also interesting in the winter how they cope in bad weather. Thanks for the review Gary, I knew this would be on your list 😉
Love how it's all the best fresh ingredients, makes such a huge difference in taste. It shows the care taken to want to give people quality. The pub is stunning and the food looked it as well. So glad you enjoyed it, even with the main menu missing. That pint looked mighty good as well. Thank you for bringing us with you to that stunning location.
The pub is only 2 fields away from work and 3 fields from home so is now my local once again , Great food beer and service with the added bonus of a butchers in the tent for the meat to go on the BBQ
Huge Clarkson fan. He’s now taking over the hospitality sector, never mind being involved in the best car show of all time. Remains humble through it all! What a guy
What a beautiful setting. Thank you taking me to me to fantastic places Gary. I would have loved to have seen the main celebrity guy shake hands with you.
Wonderful that it's all British produce and from local farmers. The food all looked very tasty and that was the best sausage roll I've ever seen. Well worth the money, I will pay a visit.
Hats off to Mr Clarkson for keeping a great country pub open, and using local produce in an age where far to many are sadly disappearing, they are part of our heritage. Snack food looked hearty, sausage roll & pork pie with obvious high pork content, darker coloured meat as opposed to the processed pinky stuff you often get. Shwarma and burger looked good, as did the bacon banjo but better in real bread and not brioche please JC. Thanks for another top review!
The pork is a darker colour, like a Melton Mobray, because it will be made without using Sodium Nitrate. A curing salt that extends the shelf-life, and also helps the meat retain its 'uncooked colour'.
Initial impressions were that he has certainly done a wonderful job with the pub & the "puppy" - very impressive indeed and what a wonderful location in the Cotswolds ! Quality food = a quality experience ! Fantastic to see them using local produce too. Well done Jeremy ! 8/10 from me.
Oh my goodness what a fabulous place, its beautiful. I love Jeremy. Pity about the hot food, but as you said Gary you can always go back in a few months. I know it was expensive, but the quality was excellent. An enjoyable day out.
Respect to you Gary for reviewing and respect to Jeremy Clarkson for what looks a lovely pub. Quality local produce, supporting farmers and businesses. You definitely need a return visit!! Thank you and the Cameraman for another excellent video 👌👍
I love that Clarkson is all about Made In Britian - deserves a clap. With that said, and the fact that they don't offer ketchup, they should have considered a spicy chutney or home made sauce to go with that food, Gaz. I know it's quality, but who eats a sausage roll without a condiment?!
Hi Gary, longtime viewer but first comment. Just wanted to say thank you, your channel is a breath of fresh air. Whenever I'm having a bad day, your vids put a smile on my face. Cheers to you and the cameraman of course 😊
I'm not a Jeremy Clarkson fan but he's done a great job with the pub and it looks good all round and a lot of thought has went into it. As you know I am one of your earlier subscribers and I think your videos are excellent to watch and I look forward to them appearing on line. One thing that i have noticed and I didn't think it was possible but I think your videos have actually got better over the last few weeks. Gary you and the cameraman keep up the good work.
It's mad how popular Clarkson's places are. It's cult-like. I'm a huge fan, stretching all the way back to original Top Gear, but it's a very weird phenomenon. We made a detour to Diddly Squat Farm once and I just walked straight off after a quick scan round (I couldn't justify those queues for anything - never mind a burger and a t-shirt), but it was insane to see the MASS of people from all cultures pouring in and out ALL DAY LONG. It was like entering Glastonbury, but to simply get on a patch of dust land with three sheds and for a burger and a pint with a 90 minute queue. It is a cult. Thousands and thousands of people queuing to go to a burger shack 'cause Jeremy opened it. There's no activities - there's no anything. It's just a well known queue-fest, but people are pouring in to pour their money into it constantly. It's not normal and there's no justification for it other than 'This belongs to a man I've seen on telly'. It looks like this pub is the same. Jeremy Clarkson opened it, so somehow it's worth queuing to a stupid degree to eat some pub food. It's a crazy celebrity-worship based behaviour and I can't wrap my head around it. I don't begrudge it, it's just like a kind of mass insanity.
He's very good at appealing to illiterate luddites and pretending to be an ally, or a member of, the uneducated working class. Rather classic conservative stuff!
Reckon it's actually worked out well Gary. You've tried the snacks which looked fab and now you have an excuse to go back for the main meals. Did love the "banned" board. Really laughed out loud at that! 😂
Gary, you’re gaining notoriety (in a good way). All your hard work is paying off. Kudos to Jeremy for backing local and British farmers. Great piece of land. I like the Farmer’s Puppy concept. The pub is very nicely appointed. A smaller menu is a good sign that the chef isn’t trying to be all things to all guests. I’d happily pay a higher price for good food, than pay for mediocre food.
I'm not British (I'm American, last time in the UK was 2019) but I really don't think the prices are bad at all considering the quality. Heck, the burger was cheaper than 5 Guys and was made using LOCAL ingredients🤷🏼♀️

Gutted for Kier Starmer. Having a name so similar to the current UK Prime Minister and also being banned from Clarkson’s pub. That’s two massive unfortunate events for him.
Jeremy Clarkson is like marmite - Like or dislike, he would be the first to agree no-one is perfect, one thing is sure he works really hard, loves animals and is passionate about farming, not all bad!

The IPA is a lovely beer! Beautiful views and it looks a well drilled operation. Look forward to the return visit Gary and a top video sir …..Smithy
I think Clarkson has done extremely well with raising awareness of the challenges of farming. The pub was really the next step for him after the council restricted him in so many ways.
Interestingly, he isn't keen on explaining how Brexit has damaged the farming community beyond repair, the party that he has publically supported and their part in it. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.
@@doghouseriley4732 Isn't the EU punishing farmers for using too much fertiliser and culling off large amounts of livestock to pursue "green" policies?
@@doghouseriley4732 Suggest you watch his show Clarksons Farm then as he clearly outlined the damage that Brexit has done to UK farming and at the time of the referendum he was a very vocal remainer. But hey, don’t let the facts get in the way of supporting your narrative. Maybe you need to focus on holding the present Government to account so they do a better job than the previous lot - to quote Clarkson “how hard can that be?”
I suppose the many many millions that Clarkson made from his tv career have come in handy. It certainly helped subsidise a loss making farm, after least in the early stages. Why does Clarkson have shops, restaurants and pubs attached to his farm business anyway? Could it be that farming isn't actually profitable ?
The interior of that pub is perfect. That’s where I want to be drinking a beer. I would love to have that as my local joint. I’m not sure about the hanging tractor. But I love everything else.
The food looked ok. I guess the taste is what matters! I like what Clarkson has done here. It is very meaningful and great for our country. Hopefully strictly home grown production for pubs/ restaurants continues and expands

Hi Gary Love your videos. You are getting a bigger and bigger reputation for honest and thorough quality reviews. Keep it up... Hmmmm. tummies getting bigger too. I looked at some of your reviews going back a while and the tummy has grown a bit since then ... we want you here for a while longer. so make sure you keep it in check...😉😉
@GaryEats it started as a viral trend and they haven't let it go since. A lot of places don't even give you an option…bread has always came with options; rye, wheat, white, brown. It spoils the taste of things.
This one is a peculiar concept, a little. I completely admire the local food production mission, AND the careful staffing, AND the thoughtful array of options including "quick" pickup meals and the more formal setup, AND the actual area is gorgeous and apparently really well handled to manage crowds without feeling crowded. I also absolutely love the idea of maintaining British pubs in Britain, with the traditional flavors of food and drink. Clarkson is also apparently really turning out the quality, even under circumstances. That counts, most especially with the prices he's asking. I do think that as time goes by, he'll need to kerp a hard eye on the quality - if that flags, he's done for in the end. And they need to work on consistency. I know it's early days, and I know the crowds are mad, but that number of queues for nothing but all-round casual foods ... that will eventually annoy people right out of the place altogether. And when the top of your potential experience is a short list of things that sound very familiar to people (albeit executed at a dizzying level of skill and quality), you're already doing a tightrope act. They need to do it all really well all the time, because a 17 pound plate of sausage and mash is already inherently a face-lift all by itself. I hope he makes it a success over time. The homogeneizing of culture in the world is ... not my favorite thing. Travel is only fun when you don't spend a fortune going to the same thing you can find next door, right? And everyplace is special for itself. Nobody needs wall-to-wall Taco Bell and McDonalds. Glad y'all had a good day out!
On occasion, Heidi, I can forgive the price as the quality was outstanding and the owner is trying to do something for British farmers in a very tough environment, the pup itself was outstanding. It was very tranquil and I would return. 🌹
@GaryEats Yes, I didn't mean to sound negative. I just mean that he's designed a tough job for himself and his staff. It can be done, because people can be professionals and do their jobs well. But there aren't many failsafes that I can see. I think his aims are truly admirable and I hope he succeeds over time.
The problem with continued money printing is your sliding sense of what is reasonable. VERY soon, you'll pay £10 for just one sausage at Five Guys. If we don't support the farmers NOW, when we still can, that's the price level for crickets.
My wife from Vietnam. She's feisty, trad Catholic and real peasant ludite. She really crazy about this fellow Jeremy. We had great time there and put a really cool business proposal to JC
Jeremy is a very nice and deeply misunderstood man. He's clever, and has no filter which gets him into trouble, but he cares a huge amount about where he lives and the people who live there, make no mistake, everything he's doing is to help the farmers around him - he has the clout and he uses it.
I'm a big fan of Clarkson and was intending to visit his pub this week. I know that eastern part of the Cotswolds quite well as it's only an hours drive from my house. Looked rather pricey (isn't everything now) but clearly really good quality. I think I'll pay a visit when all the fuss has died down, perhaps October. Really like the Starmer ban too!
Sounds as though Clarkson has finally found a way to sell his produce to the public which the local council can't stop. Hats off...

Win win!
That is fantastic to hear and well done to you and thank you very much

@rabid_si I understand it's quality bacon but WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF is 7.50 all about 😮😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is the thing …… fresh quality food is expensive. It’s not imported, highly processed or subsidised by the government…….its real food. But you’re also paying to employ staff, supporting local businesses and economy. I think it’s brilliant and well worth the cost and quality
That’s what makes no sense. In Germany, the fresh food is always cheaper.
Not true at all i could make 10 bacon rolls for £7.50 and bacon is fresh and made in this country.....prices is awful because Clarkson
What makes you think UK farmers aren't subsidized by the government
It's most definitely a bit pricy without a doubt but as you said, quality
It is a very good comment to make and I really appreciate that Neil

Very astute observations! Thank you.
Bear in mind that he probably earns more from Amazon per series of Clarksons farm than the farm is worth. So not only is he a good advocate for British farmers it's a good business move for him. Win win!

'When Caroline Flack announced on her Instagram story: "I'm going to speak today… mine and my families life is no longer up for entertainment and gossip."
“Wow,” I thought. “That’s amazing. She doesn’t know how to use apostrophes.”
Caroline Flack was found dead at her home in Stoke Newington, London, on 15 February 2020.
I’m really pleased you enjoyed your visit to diddly squat, I agree it is very busy but he has done very well
I've known this place as The Windmill for many years and its great to see JC giving it a new lease of life. He has his detractors but its wonderful to seeing him employing local people selling local food and I wish him every success. Like Gary says, quality doesn't come cheap and you're paying for so much more than the food, I can't wait to give it a go!
@@DAVIDJC306 I thought the Windmill never closed…🤔
I agree with you. I think he has done a fantastic refurbishment. David definitely worth a visit.
I think everyone in Carterton and Witney have been to a Wedding at the Windmill at some point! Shame they dont still have the old lady with the desert trolly.
100% well said sir!
I understand that the pub has created 80 jobs!
That's what I love about your reviews Gary...open & honest & not carried away by the star status above the door.
I'd personally have given Jeremy another half point just for being such a free thinking & tireless pioneer of our great British farmers.
Anyway great show as always cheers chum
That’s very kind to say thank you very much and I agree well done Jeremy
It looks great, the food and the surroundings and, as always a sensible review. More importantly on this occasion, the boost this will give to the local farmers and suppliers is immeasurable, I hope more people follow his lead (sorry Gary, I went off piste).
So nice to hear an honest assessment of a new pub. Jeremy spent a lot of money on the property and the renovations. It may be expensive, but as you say Gary, the quality and the ambiance are top drawer. With all of the crap that Jeremy and the farmers in the area have had to put up with, I wish him and them every success. The area is lucky to have him investing.
That is a really lovely comment to make thank you very much
@paulj7497 I'd say you're being a rather over-sensitive Scottish person.

Now no wonder that there is so much illness diabetes and heart conditions ,
Jeremy Clarkson is doing a fantastic job and setting an example that all pubs should follow , he should be given a knighthood .
Thank you very much for your excellent comment. It is really appreciated Mike.
I'd rather pay high prices for good food than low prices for rubbish. This looked lovely. Another great and entertaining video from you, Gary. It's good to see you venturing out of the smoke. 👍

Great video as always, Gary.
That is a very good point, thank you very much
Would love too know where you get a Big Mac for £5 😂 try £6.99 these days
You're talking 8ish quid for a large big Mac meal these days. I used to love a maccies but I can't justify paying that for fast food when I can get a better burger from my local burger van for 6 quid
Mcdonalds actual beef burgers are 100% British beef though. They just add salt and pepper. For me they are not thick enough and the garnish they put on them is bland
Supporting our farmers 100% the back bone of the economy

Visiting this new pub turned out to be a good idea. People are very interested in hearing your opinion. You were happy with everything you consumed, which bodes well for when the time comes that you will return for the pub lunch. I am afraid that I would not like to join hoards of people queuing to get into a pub. Everybody else does not seem to mind. Thank you very much for showing us!
I loved it! Just wish it had the main menu
I think I'd wait a while in hope that the pub becomes less popular. It would be interesting to find out how long it would take before you could buy anything (I realize that would depend on how long the queue was when you joined).
Correct. Q-ing IN a pub ok. To get INTO the pub. Noooooo
@@damianwalls1262 Precisely! Queuing anywhere for the "honour" of letting people take my hard earned money is a complete no-no.

One thing i like is all the local produce and supporting the local farmers. To me that is worth paying the extra. The food looks great and the location looks great too. From Australia 🇦🇺
I agree with you. It’s worth paying that extra money.
@@GaryEatslove watching your show, thanks
It's strange that local produce, with minimal middle men, or women costs the earth, you'd think that would keep prices down. Support goes both ways.
Loads of places use local produce. It's been a unique selling point for years now. It's no longer acceptable to use that as a reason to charge extra
The London prices probably mean that there are few locals who see the pub as affordable.
Really love this channel. Gary is always so honest and polite even when it’s crap. ❤️
That’s very kind to say, thank you
I used to go here often when it was a Carvery, living so locally and also called 'The Windmill'.
You do mate some very valid points, however, I think JC has done a good job with the refurbishment
@GaryEats Absolutely agree, it looks wonderful!
Not a Clarkson fan but i would happily go to that beautiful place and support the British farmers. I would also not begrudge paying those prices for fresh, home grown i e. British, farm produce.

I think Clarkson has done extremely well with raising awareness of the challenges of farming. The pub was really the next step for him after the council restricted him in so many ways.

Thank you, trying my best!
The interior of that pub is perfect. That’s where I want to be drinking a beer. I would love to have that as my local joint. I’m not sure about the hanging tractor. But I love everything else.
It’s a beautiful pub for sure
The food looked ok. I guess the taste is what matters!
I like what Clarkson has done here. It is very meaningful and great for our country.
Hopefully strictly home grown production for pubs/ restaurants continues and expands
I think Jeremy has done a wonderful job, David
I will be visiting Jeremy’s and James’ pubs when I’m in England in three weeks. I respect that Jeremy is supporting local businesses and Britain overall. He’s putting his money where his mouth is.
He's not really supporting Britain unfortunately
@RobinPalmerTV here we go ..please elaborate
I hope you enjoy your trip!
@@robknight1473Clarkson is putting yr money where his mouth is. Bacon roll with no middle man taxes should be under a fiver. Clarkson is out to make money.
@@GaryEats Thank you!
Hi Gary
Love your videos.
I will be having a short break very soon and here we come, Mr. Diet.
Clarkson is doing more for this country than Starmer ever will.
Thank you very much
That wouldn't exactly be difficult...oops,better be careful what I post here !
@@busking6292 Oi, you got a license for that thought, mate?!
He's barred anyway hahaha ha love it.
100% fact!
Enough with the brioche bunnnns!!! Im sick of it, gimme a good crusty roll or a soft bap.
I do agree with you
@GaryEats it started as a viral trend and they haven't let it go since. A lot of places don't even give you an option…bread has always came with options; rye, wheat, white, brown. It spoils the taste of things.
the bread spoils the flavour????? don't get it
@jasperpike242 yes cos it's too sweet. It's not rocket science if you've had a brioche bun before mate.
@@ClassyGyal your post implied all bread not the brioche. i agree brioche is not a burger bun, as you say sweet.
Posted 35 mins 7,500 views 😮 amazing how far you’ve come ….keep going, your style is clearly what people want to see ! More the power to you
Thanks so much!! Means so much to me, lots of new and hopefully exciting content coming from outside the UK soon...
@@GaryEats Outside the UK......Im intrigued now!
Well said, great comment!
Excellent to hear
❤ your channel Gary. Always fun and informative
That is so kind to say
Jeremy is a very nice and deeply misunderstood man. He's clever, and has no filter which gets him into trouble, but he cares a huge amount about where he lives and the people who live there, make no mistake, everything he's doing is to help the farmers around him - he has the clout and he uses it.
"He has the clout and he uses it". Yes, normally if there's a producer standing nearby who's forgotten to get the steaks in.
Well said.
He's a marmite character for sure
@@GaryEats he's a violent racist thug
He’s not deeply misunderstood at all, he’s just a bit of a cock.
That sausage roll looked epic! James May’s pub grub looked better tbh, but it’s not really a fair comparison
I agree, and it’s not a fair comparison
Yes agree perhaps Clarkson trying for a different crowd
@@747jono Jez is looking out for the working class, dont forget he is a Yorkshireman
Gary didn't even get to try the pub grub lol main lunch menu was off. Let's find out when he returns!
James will never know....😂
Your presenting reminds of those super chilled out fishing programmes in the late 80s
It's nice to see that Jeremy promoting/raising awareness for British food/farming. We need to more to support British things.
100% 👍
Completely agree!
@@matthewbryan4983 Pity tight fisted Yorkshire food reviewers don't agree Awesome produce on their doorstep but don't support FACT
@@747jono I'll have to watch his video
He is promoting himself and his career and has chosen a clever avenue to do it.
Yes give it a few months I feel, although no doubt will be heaving at Christmas
I'd pay extra for the starmer ban alone! 😂😂
I'd ban all politicians tbh.
I like Jeremy. He’s a good bloke. 🙏🏻
He's done amazing work for British farming
Quality review again. Congratulations. Very engaging feel like I’m there. I hope clarkson invites you back as his guest.
Thank you very much, Jack
