I tried my best to find the songs. I apologize if some were wrong or sped up. Now you know it was a genuine first reaction 😂
You're the king of Lana's reactions dude 🤓
Hey just to let you know that yes, the Gramma version you listened to is actually pitched. That's why it sounded creepy to you haha but amazing reaction btw
You did it!!!!!! 👁👄👁This is her best album.
@OMG Thesechocodiles that's the exact reason why I love Mermaid Motel, everything feels weird
Gramma was pitched higher than the original
In my opinion this album tells the story of a young girl living on a trailer park trying hard to put her things in order and get a better life, and she is so desperate and alone that she search in all the wrong places, its a dark, creepy and emotional album, but I love it so much
Couldn't be more agreed
And put me in a movie is her explaining the way it feels to try so hard to get what she wants, but at the cost of being something for someone else. She puts all of this trust into the men around her only for them to use her. If any of her songs pull heart strings, Put me in a movie is the main one.
if you notice in high by the beach there is a reference to put me in a movie, instead of “lights, camera, action, you know i can’t make it on my own” she says “lights, camera, action, i can make it on my own” which kind of shows us she’s grown
I love her old music and I miss her making it but I love to see her grow and get stronger. But I do love to see her old music seep into her new music
It’s actually “Lights, camera, acción”

Put me in a movie reflects upon the dirty Hollywood industry; the older, powerful male producers taking advantage of young girls who would do anything to get that big break. “He didn’t know he’d have this much fun..” “Cmon you know you like little girls...” “you can be my daddy...” “lights camera accion” “you know I can’t make it on my own..” so sad. So dark. So heavy. Lana is just amazing.
its about lolita lol.. her father promised her he will put her in a CP movie read the book and watch the movie..
@@SERPO_ sir, I have read the book and seen the movie. Her father? The deceased Mr. haze? Um… you mean Clare Quilty right? Anyways my interpretation of the song is a mix of what I said originally and Clare Quilty. So you’re half right I guess.
@@potatogirl1340 yeah her father, why u act surprised lol the whole book and movie is about her dating her step father in which she asks him to put her in a movie cause he said shes pretty enough to be in a movie, its all about lolita most of her songs are inspired by lolita she even has a song titled lolita as well as the name of the author of lolita tatted on her arm
@@SERPO_ exactly, 100%!!
They wanna be half right lol lol
@@SERPO_ I don’t think that it is her father?
WHEN ‘Put Me In A Movie” CAME UP AND HE VISUALLY WENT 👁👄👁 I literally cracked up 😹😹😬
By the way this isn’t the beginning of her career. She was called Lana Del Ray AKA Lizzy Grant here, before that she was just Lizzy Grant and before that May Jailer and Sparkle Jump Rope Queen. I’m sure I’m forgetting a few other names, Lana has hundreds of unreleased songs.
Is there some meaning behind “sparkle jump rope”? She mentions it in Put Me In A Movie
@@joshuajamessara when she sings in bars she called herself like this and lizzy grant and the fenomenas too
David Prates it just seems so random tbh
@@joshuajamessara it is kkkkkkk
im late but pretty sure its something like suicidal but make it sparkly and sad
Pawn Shop Blues has an excellent story telling. You can make a movie out of it.
I love this song omg 😍
one of my fav lana songs
So good

the aka version really got the essence of the song my god
like the born to die version better...
facts
Ok listen, you can't deny Put Me in a Movie is a psychedelic bop
That's kinda funny, but Mermaid Motel is probably my favourite song from this album. Yes, it is a mess. But it's kinda mysterious and haunting. That's why I love it.
I love rehab the demo of for k part 2
Put me in a movie sounds a little creepy because it's a reference to Lolita
Love it tho
Actually you listened to a pitched version of Gramma! So maybe that gave the creepy vibe
Fun fact about put me in movie: she named herself Time ago "sparkle jump rope queen" instead of Lana del rey
i love how u actually hear your community so many of us said you should listen to lizzy grant and here you are!!
I love “kill kill” 🥺❤️
Songs you would’ve liked ! JFK,Gramma (original) ,I don’t wanna go , meet me in the pale moonlight , you can be the boss ,live or die ,Hollywood
On gramma - not the pitched version

this album is so raw but it shows how original and different she is. it shows she has her own world.

React to Serial killer and Queen of disaster. Both are famous songs
Also you should react to her soundtracks from some movies like “Young and beautiful and Big eyes” 💖
Also Once upon a Dream from Maleficent
I feel like once you go down the Lana path, there’s always going to be more content when you think you’ve heard everything. 😂
The way you snapped with the set up tho
Edit: oof gramma is pitched
They all have Hawaiian metalrock glam sound to them.
Yup as lana would call it “surf noir”
METAL rock?
@@cantshakeyoumel yes! Love that interview
@@lasernikixcexthat’s what Lana said😭😭 I guess if I’d genre it it’s rock+synth pop+acoustic pop
LOVE this album, and I love that a man is able to recognize Lana and her work, that's HOT.
Btw, you should also listen to her unreleased songs, like Rahab, Wayamaya, Is it wrong, Roses, Your girl, Every man gets his wish, St. Tropez (Party girl), She's not me, and like a thousand songs she never released.
Did you know that Cola was written about Harvey Weinstein? Obviously she's being ironic about him, that's why she sings "Harvey is in the sky with diamonds and he's making me crazy". Also, she stopped playing that song in her concerts to show respect to all the people who made complaints to him the past years.
i dont think she was being ironic...
Li Sa she said that, when she explained why she decided not to sing that song on the stage again.
My favorites from this album:
Kill kill, Put me in a Movie, Oh So you can see, Gramma, For K part 2, Brite lites, Smarty and Mermaid Motel (I love that song for the exact reasons you disliked it) it's like a creepy showgirl song.
If you guys ever see me in a Gas Station with a long brown Lana Del Rey wig, a sparkly jump rope, a Pepsi Cola bottle, and with my heart shaped sunglasses on just mind your damn business.
I swear I just saw you there last week.
i'm here for it, you're the only one reacting to everything
♡
There was a new Lana leak of her song with Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner called Thunder. Worth a listen
Here from the future lmaooo it’s released
omg finally someone reacted to this lost album!! i love it, this version of yayo is my favorite!
Suggestion for some of the unreleased "Wayamaya" and "Hundred dollar bill"
React to "you can be the boss" it's one of my favorites ♥️♥️♥️
I though you wouldn't do her Lizzy Grant Album. I'm so happy!
The fact that you reacted to this album makes u the best!!!
Keep it going!! 💪
Pawn shop blues is without any doubt my favourite track of this record
I surely wasn't expecting this. Thanks bro!
After this album was pulled from iTunes she wanted to re release the whole thing after “Born to Die” but only Yayo was retouched (they got rid of the strings ugh) and tbh, seeing as she’s a perfectionist, these songs, minus Kill Kill and Yayo, don’t really work well elsewhere. This is her only other official album, her “Die For Me” album was fan made (seeing some ask for it). And finally, “Serial Killer” is pretty good. She sang it at concerts around 2015 making people think it was going to be in “Honeymoon” but nahhh. Sorry we bullied you to react to this lmao 😂
She had the Young Like Me EP, Sirens and No Kung Fu EP which had Get Drunk and Jimmy Gnecco
yeah sirens is a thing tho… may jailer
i want this guy to spit at me
kinky.
Broken Sky don’t we all
You need to listen to Chelsea Hotel No. 2. It’s one of Lana’s best covers
you reacted to a pitched version of grandma lmao 😭
My God this is a dream😍
React to the songs she made for some movies!! And to her most famous unrealeased song "serial killer"
Mermaid motel is a piece of art omg my all time Favorite, all of the references omg and the offbeat kinda stuff is on purpose to give it that eerie feeling, I feel like you’d enjoy the demo of mermaid motel way more!
Omg you’re so sweet for doing this!!! 😍😍😍😍

It's my least favorite Lana album but still great. And it contains "Raise me up", which is my top 10 of Lana songs! And stylistically it is here most diverse record.

ALELUYA. YOU DO IT ♡
React to her live show with disco and Marilyn 🥺 if you have the chance. You see how shy she is and how cute she is lmao
Lana Del Rey aka Sparkle Jump Rope Queen 👸🏻
television heaven by lizzy grant, unfortunately the og is only on soundcloud but such a bop
Thank you so much ! For listening to this album wich is a masterpiece ! We totally understand that you pick some wrong song version because it exist so much version of it, like I understood a few week ago that I was listening to the wrong for k part 2 version 😂 In gramma she already sing like it’s pitched so when it’s really pitched it’s really weird... also for k part 2 that you listen is the demo 🤍 I know you aren’t probably going to react to this because we have to move one but there is demo(summer bummer, lust for life, diet Mountain Dew...) and I love a new unrealeased named Thunder and serene queen 🤍
Cool review! Its awsome to see references to Lana Del Reys old music... one note - as a guy who enjoys rock music, and appreciate lana del rey - I'd consider this album soft rock, nothing really heavy about it. Some songs here have some rock elements which is cool, or stracture that can work really well for rock music ("raise me up" is a good expmple for both of these things) - But not a lot of guitars, and a bit watered down as a rock song.
I think that this is a nice way to learn about lanas tastes. She apperes to like pop, soft rock, being experimental and adapting different ganers (like hip hop) into what is eventually really nice mature pop music.
I think Lana is way better today with combining rock elements into her art - Would admit, I'd really like to hear a full blown energetic rock album. Where she really pushes her energy and voice, i feel like it's a hidden vibe rooted inside her, which she only show small parts of. But maybe i'm wrong :)
"Put me in a movie" os My favourite. I loooove this song.
great style 🤩🔥
I'm so glad that I'm not the only person who see this album as a whole movie. I can clearly get all the point, plots, and narrative. I think it's so cohesive... (I even wrote a movie script based on this album). She's a pro when it comes to create a scenario by using music.
Finding someone react to this >>>>>>>>
Makes me feel a little like when I first heard all these tracks
OMFG!!! 🥳
I really love this album 💕
Please react to Serial Killer by Lana as well. You’ll love it I promise 🚬😎
It´s not over yet, you have to react to may jailer - sirens!
