Well, I always liked ARTPOP, a few songs more than others. One day I was at home, popped some Molly and was just relaxing in my bed with my earphones on shuffle when Aura started playing... I had eargasms and I was like “I need to listen the whole album now”.... I can tell you that was the most amazing experience for me. The album that usually is called loud and noisy all of the sudden made all sense. ARTPOP and Swine are crazy. Every little effect gave me chills. I think that maybe she was thinking of that when she created this album. But that’s my experience.
ARTPOP is a Psychedelic experience!! its supposed to be listened to on Acid or shrooms it'll make sense completely!! Molly is good but it doesnt induce the true conceptual visuals that the album is but still a pretty good experience

In defense of "Dope" it's the literal low point after the highs that the album has been at, and the lyrics reflect that. It's GaGa at her lowest and realizing that love means more to her than any other high in life. Gypsy follows as her fully accepting that she doesn't need any "filler" and can happily live off love. Applause follows that up with support of her fans.

Also Dope is the low after al the highs. Behind the loud energetic songs is a lot of pain. Dope doesn't cover up that pain and puts it all on the table. Gypsy right after Dope is the perfect euphoric happy release.

THE FACT THAT WHEN THE ALBUM CAME OUT EVERYONE CALLED IT ARTFLOP BUT NOW AFTER YEARS (because the fashion, style of music etc have changed) EVERYONE LOVES IT IT'S INSANE. GAGA IT'S AN AVANT-GARDE BITCH she is always 10 steps ahead unlike other artists...and so UNIQUE,she even said it in an interview that the world was not yet ready for all of it, this makes us understand a lot about her..SHE IS A FREAKING GENIUS.
ARTPOP was a masterpiece at the time and continues to be PERIODT.

Swine is just beyond amazing. The live version from SwineFest was even better I think. I would have loved more of that live sound on a studio recording but the album version slaps hard too.

I was so obsessed with "Born This Way" that I skipped "Artpop" at the time. Now, I think it's stupendous. ARTPOP might be the best album/cd of the century so far, if "Born This Way" isn't. Time will tell.
