"Broken Hearted Melody" was a popular song written by Hal David and Sherman Edwards. It was recorded by Sarah Vaughan and it became a major hit, reaching No. 7 on Billboard Hot 100 in September 1959 and No. 5 on the R&B charts in October 1959. Sarah Vaughan recorded the song in early 1958, left it for over a year before releasing it around the first of July 1959. It was her first million seller and her first song to receive a Grammy nomination at the Second Annual Grammy Awards for Best Performance By A "Top 40" Artist.
Margaret Whiting, Sarah Vaughan and of course Julie London. Like Margaret's original, Sarah's and Julie London's remake. Julie London's husky voice puts a unique sound to this classic which I really like. Nice Post MIM.

Lovely voice , not so silky as Sarah but lovely
Just listened to a version by Julie London. That was pretty silky. Actually it was more sultry than silky.
