Mercer was a genius. This video could go on for hours with these wonderful singers ticking off his too marvelous lyrics. He's my favorite lyricist in the world, and now, having seen this video, I'm going to have Mercer ear worms until further notice.

Great songs and two really good vocalists to present them.

What can be said about Johnny Mercer that hasn't been said?? His lyrics were just Too Marvelous For Words!!!! Seeing this is very melancholy. Mike Renzi, with whom I was only slightly acquainted, recently passed away. What a shock. And I did have the good fortune of meeting Margaret Whiting, who was very nice to me as I shopped some songs to her. Mel Torme, too, is missed. However, this video keeps them all alive doing great tunes, keeping Johnny Mercer alive as well.

Mike Renzi! Haven't seen him since my days in NYC...the early 80's. He was playing with Maureen McGovern then - wow!

I'm from Derry NI.I Remember hearing a rumour years ago that the guy who wrote Moon River was an orphan in Termonbacca(a Christian brothers building here)Don't know if there's any truth in it?

No truth to it. Johnny Mercer, lyric writer was from Savannah, GA. Hank Mancini was from Cleveland, Ohio and Pittsburgh, PA
