I always sew the bottom of my shoe all the way around first and then go in with the lining bottom part and leave that one open an inch. That way when i turn inside out i can just hand sew that one opening together and the shoes can be reversible!
Thiank you for sharing a well described tutorial how to make a pair of darling baby shoes. I will make several pair for my baby great niece who is on her way.
I have learned more tricks and tips from you than I have from anyone!! I love sewing with your patterns and the tutorials are absolutely awesome! thank you so much!!!!💗
This was the best video and pattern ever! I was expecting it my first one to just be a trail run but it turned out great! The video is very easy to follow and pattern came with detailed instructions. The video uses 2 very different patterns of fabric making it easy to follow
I've never sewn a quilt before. Your video inspired me. Ive had a stash of fabric from making masks from covid and I like to make dog bandanas for my pack. Ive never sewn anything bigger than that. So this works out great because my daughter just started working for a charity that donates baby goods to low income families. So im working on my 6Th baby quillt already. By no means are any of them perfect but Im learning by watching your videos. Thank you so much. Also, i printed out your directions from your shop and i keep it taped to my wall. There is an error on it though. It says to make 60 of the 4 square blocks. But you only need 30. I know you said you were bad at quilt math. Everytime I look at it I freak out because I think I haven't made enough but I finally crossed it out and put 30. Once again, thank you for the inspiration.
You absolutely can do it, and congratulations!!! I have another new shoe pattern releasing next week (June 2023) that I’ve made even easier. So keep an eye out! 💕
Thanks for this tutorial I purchased your pattern I love how it’s clear & very easy to follow. Looking forward to making several pairs for my grandchildren
I'm teaching my granddaughter to sew and this is a great tutorial for when she gets to this stage. If you want them reversible sew the sole on all the way around then leave your turning gap in the lining piece. Then you are hopefully better at hand sewing than me lol and you can close the seam with a slip stitch and it won't show.
Finally got around to making these. They were so easy, I made two pairs. They came out sooo cute! Wish I could post a picture. Thank you, I'll definitely be making more ❤️
The exact fabric amount and recommendations are in the tutorial, link in the description box! These take VERY LITTLE fabric to make (1/4yd makes several or a Fat Quarter)!
Make sure to sew slowly around your curves! I have a heart shaped pouch/purse that has a part in it that explains sewing around curves. That may help! My channel also has some fillable fabric Easter eggs sewing pattern tutorials that may help. ruclips.net/video/poJZb53Ewrc/видео.html

You can do that as well. It’s okay & quicker to cut slits with scissors bc you’re already doing that before flipping it right-side out. :) You can absolutely use chaulk if you prefer. This is just how I prefer to make them.
Ok, I just finished my first pair, after getting the pattern 1 year ago, lol. Anyway the elastic pattern piece says the total to cut for both shoes. So, example I did size 1 and it asks for 3 3/4 inch elastic. I cut that size then I cut half of that for each shoe. Otherwise, if we cut 2 pieces of 3 3/4 inches elastic, it will be too big. So, I assume its the same for the other sizes. I loved the shoe. I few mistakes here and there, but I feel confident that I will get better at it with practice. In love with it. I will give to my grand daughter tomorrow.
The best thorough, up close instructions that I’ve seen on you tube for baby shoes! Thank you

Good advice - figured that out the hard way LOL
Thank you for this pro tip.. I have been struggling with this step
Thanks! Definitely gonna try that on the next pair.

Have you added the skid proof material on the bottom?
@@danienefritschysaxton9888 yes! I have 4 little ones. Once they start walking I use the non skid utility gripper fabric for the bottoms.
Thanks for the great instructions.

Do the sole fabric not wear out quickly?
They do not, especially in the smaller sizes. I’ve got 4 kids and never had any wear out at all. Hope that helps!
I clicked the link to look for patterns but link can’t be accessed. Is there any other way I can get hold of the patter?

can i make it in youth size?
I love the pattern and was able to complete my project how do I download my pics for you to see
You can email them to AlohaSewingCompany@gmail.com!
I assume these can go in the wash since they’re cotton…does the fabric need to be prewashed?
They absolutely can be washed and prewashing fabric is up to you! Some do, some don’t. :)
The gray material around the inside of the shoe looks a little rough. I'd use white fleece instead of that material.
@@katielove9932 I used it to contrast for the video so people would be able to see it well. I typically use a flannel or something soft. :)
Where can I find the pattern please
Hi! Maybe this is a dumb question. Is the seam allowance already included in the pattern or should I add 1/4 inch when I cut?
Seam allowance is always included in my patterns! :)
Please how to get the measurements
Have you ever added a thick pad to bottom sole?
You can add batting or foam if you wanted, I used fusible fleece. :)
I can't find the download for the pattern. Help please
What kind of fabric do you use to make the shoes and soles
The complete fabric recommendations and materials I use are on the pattern pages 1 & 2! :)
How do you sew the curves? I am struggling to get smooth curves 😭😭😭

Thanks for this tutorial!!
You’re so very welcome!
Why does 3/8 inch elastic work better for these than 1/4?
1/4” works just great!
Do these stay on baby’s feet?
They stay on beautifully!
I cant seem to get the download Help! :-)
Hey there! The link in the description box has the pattern pieces! Here it is again :)

How long is the elastic piece?
It depends on the size shoe you are making! The tutorial has the exact cutting length for each size. :)

@@AlohaSewingCompany it says 3 3/4 for a size 1 but, it seems way big.
