I do use an industrial sewing machine with a compound walking foot. If you add a walking foot and a leather needle you may be able to get through 3 oz leather.

For the upper, I'm using 3-4 oz deer tanned cowhide leather (make sure it has a rounded feel and it's not overly rigid). For the soles, I'm using a 3 oz suede. The elastic is a 1/4 in.

Great question. I've cut this leather with the Cricut Maker in the past, and this particular leather is too soft and the temper was too light to cut well.

Would regular sewing machine and thread work? and whats the ribbon tape you used please? Great work!
What is the glue on the white paper strips that you apply and pull off?
It's double sided tape from Tandy Leather!

I haven't developed any other sizes unfortunately. You might be able to find some other shoe patterns on Etsy though.

How do you secure the elastic? I am not sure what you are using before you cut the elastic.
