I just finished making my first Teddy Bear, using your pattern and tutorial. TY. I printed 2 pages on 1, making the bear 1/2 the size. I made a memorial bear using my Mom's Minnie Mouse fleece jammie bottoms. She passed away 4 months ago and was a Disney Fanatic. I'm going to give it to my adult daughter who carries on her love for Disney.

In all my decades of sewing I’ve never heard of someone calling the right side of the fabric the pretty side. They should! It makes so much sense. 😊😊

Did you pre wash your fabric first? If I don’t pre wash will it fit a big head after it shrinks after washing???

Do you have a smaller size one? My dad passed way and I would like to make several from a few of his favorite shirts for all of the grandkids. I feel if they are smaller they would be easier for them to keep and put on a shelf or in a memory box.

Your downloaded pattern is 10 1/2 wide x 7 1/2 tall, but your pattern is written 10" wide x 7" tall? Which one is it please? Thank you for sharing!

I think I’d prefer to see the seam closed using an overlocker - or use a French seam for neatness 😊

I thank you for your simple design for the mittens. I tried making the mittens according to your tutorial. It unfortunately was overwhelming to me. I ended up figuring out another way as to how to sew them together. Using the outer fabric and lining right sides together, Sew 1/4" across the top. Flip right sides out folding on the seam line. Then sew a straight line across at 3/8" to create a channel for the elastic. Lay two of these face up. From the right side, guide the elastic through using the safety pin. Tac down the end when the elastic is at the end! Continue pushing the elastic through the other one and tac that end down! With right sides together, Sew all the way around using 3/8". Trim excess material without cutting the threads. Turn right side out. Ta-Da

I don't understand what the measurement is for the seam allowance? it sounded like 3/8 inch but I dont really know what that means? Can anyone help?
