These officers could benefit from training on how to deescalate situations. They brunette female officer that asked "Is he hot, because he is not." is suboptimal in quelling a situation. This is a disaster waiting to happen. The two blonde female officers mocking the woman in cuffs during the blood draw and then brining up her personal life is way out of pocket. Hopefully, the administration takes corrective action.

I know a lot of people ridicule and laugh at these videos because I catch myself doing it sometimes. But it really is sad and heartbreaking to see the mental illness plague in this country and this world. And it’s just getting worse every day.

Have to admit, as an Australian, I'm often shocked about the American heathcare system, the prisons, courts, very sub par first responders and 911 personnel, your opioid disaster and homelessness. This video again shows poorly trained police officers, and like you said, inflaming situations instead of deescalating! EDIT: Can I just ad, that I do love America. I went to an International NATO school, all across Europe. Most of my friends were American, and I've lived in Seattle. I should have stated more clearly that these things sadden me. The American people are amazing, and welcoming! I just think your country can do better, for their own people. Yes things are bad in other countries, but some things just hardly happen in France, The Netherlands, or Australia. You need to be able to be critical of your own country. Some of you who took my comment badly, but I'm sure you'd be appalled too, if you'd lived in other developed countries.

2:18, I'm a male registered forensic psychiatric nurse and we used to get people that did this sort of thing ALL the time. We would take their vitals, if fine we would put them in a "Side/time out room" that was camera'd and every single time they would relax when thinking no one was looking then go back to their "persona non grata" act as soon as someone walked in...

I have seen a lot of videos on here of people just like these getting caught for DUI's, and ironically their behaviour is usually even worse than most of these prisoners.

Those cops were wrong to believe he was faking a seizure. Not all seizures are gramal seizures. I have a family member who has seizures the way that guy did. It’s a real thing!
My daughter had seizures and I do think that guy was having one those cops are poorly trained or don't care
@@emilyheather328 I worked in the Correctional system for 30 years and retired as a supervisor those three female officers the two blondes and brunette are some of the worst unprofessional officers I have seen. Secondly if someone has a seizure fake or not you alert the healthcare team and they are the one who are trained to make those decisions not the corrections staff.
& As he's doing it the female officers has a dislike for him & they are on the girlfriend side; They are like
「Sis is he faking this seizure; Etc」

Depends on the state. Sometimes if you refuse to take the breathalyzer you are authorizing a blood draw. Some states you can be compelled under a warrant if you refuse all tests. Also if you refuse all tests then your license can be automatically suspended. Sometimes they just take it anyway for a evidence trail. A good lawyer can work with that, but at 600+ an hour who can really afford that? Its probably best to stall and hope they are backed up in booking so you sober up enough to lower the charge.

There are conditions to having a state's drivers license, the conditions (laws) are set by the people of the state and their conditions are A, B, C which the person wanting the license agrees to, in order to drive on the people's roadways. Blood draw is one of those agreement, you refuse, then a warrant will be issued and an automatic suspension for refusing to comply with the agreement you promised to the people of that state. Driving is not a right.
If someone agrees to a blood draw to determine blood alcohol, why not just do a breathalyzer? Cheaper, less invasive, fewer risks… Unless she’s suspected to have killed someone in a hit and run or something this seems insane.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Personally I think these officers are very smart for relating to the prisoners on their own level. It makes them calmer and they seem to feel like the officers cares what happens to them.

@@bachlava7 Virtually every episode of Cops usually begins with the officer asking “why did you run from me” and the cop at the end chastising “if you’d just been more honest with me and told me you had drugs on you I might have cut you slack” etc. etc. You’re not expected to pretend to play ignorant on the field, just like no cop would ever pretend a school shooter didn’t do it if they catch him alive. They still have to respect his civil rights and read him his Miranda but they can stare ice daggers and call him an SOB all they like on the ride back to the station. Plus cops in lockup usually have no affect on the case, they weren’t the arresting officer.
