- On this episode of JAIL: Las Vegas, a Batman impersonator is brought into booking after a scuffle with a Chewbacca impersonator. "He'll call the police and make some stuff up about you to get you arrested," the impersonator said. "This way he can make money and you can't."

Those aren't police. Those are jail deputies. Which makes it kind of odd that they are questioning him about his crime. They normally don't do that as it has nothing to do with them.

No one should have to sit in prison awaiting trial. Unless they are a remorseless murderer or a major flight risk.
Unfortunately, it's the poorest among us who can't make small bail amounts who suffer this system. Many are suffering poor mental health. Conditions they also can't have addressed due to lack of resources.
Yet multiple predators and habitual offenders are granted easy bail. They pay it easily, because they come from wealth.
The real crime in America is being poor.

This seems like a making of a good crossover movie - Batman vs Chewy.
I watched a documentary on this guy as Batman and the semi famous guy that was in costume as Superman. The Superman impersonator was truly a sad story . He looked a good bit like Christopher Reeves. He ended up on drugs and it was a tragic sad ending . It is a well made documentary that if this interests you would be good to watch .
"Confessions of a Superhero" Great but so sad. This Batman is absolutely Maxwell Allen from the documentary. He had such an anger issue. Christopher Dennis (Superman) had serious drug and mental health issues. He had a great heart but an addiction that led to his downfall. He was found dead in 2019. I agree @wisdom seeker, it was really well done. Perspective story about people just trying to survive.

People found him hanging out of one of the clothes donation bins. It was one of the bins that were heavy and it closed behind his head and he could not get out!
@@wisdomseeker3362 I heard. Sadly, it seems as if he had been attacked several times prior and just became despondent. I know "suffocation" was listed as the cause of death but I'm not sure if he was on drugs at the time of his death. He had such good intentions but just couldn't catch any breaks. There were several stories of people helping him out but given his circumstances, luck and the mental health support he needed, were just not on his side.
So many people knew of his story. Some exploited and some genuinely tried to help. Christopher Dennis, with all his flaws, was a good person that had been dealt a crappy hand.
I love documentaries and I thought this one would be light-hearted and funny but it carried such a serious undertone. I followed him for a while and always hoped he would defeat his demons. He had a big heart. RIP Christopher. It makes me happy that you know his story too, Wisdom seeker.

Man I miss Vegas. Only place in the world you can enjoy a kickass buffet while sharing the dining room with characters in costume from local shows, athletes, musicians, artists and people who work the myriad of shifts across the valley wearing their slippers and jammie pants. No one batted an eyelash at any of it.
No you can get the same entertainment and "enjoyable experience" in downtown Manhattan as well.
