Yup happened to me with my barb last night found an amazing 2h hammer i needed 2GA and went to temper it got the same useless affix 4 times in a row smh tempering in this game is garbage. Im not even gonna bother with it anymore.
i don't mind the randomness...what i do mind is that it hits the EXACT SAME value and affix 3 times in a row...constantly...i think the fix is that the system should not be allowed to reroll the same stat or can only roll higher in the same stat if it does
I bricked a GA hellbent commander amulet, a GA Golem Mastery Chest, and a GA skeletal warriors boots all in the same night. Then missed 7 straight times trying to masterwork crit Golem mastery on a different Golem chest. It sucks
With affix rerolling on console, you can press Y on Xbox and I'm guessing Triangle on PS for the list as long as you select which affix to change first.
I HATE the enchanting system but I learned a few things about it in this video that should decrease my frustration. For example, if I'm rerolling an affix, why give the same one at the same or lower value? Makes no sense! Those options should be eliminated to streamline the process. Thank you for your help.
Its meant to be a money sink I assume. Since its been in every version of Diablo since you could reroll stats on gear. I just wish they hadn't weighted the primary stat rolls so heavily.
Instead of saving the image and posting it on D4, You can use Win+Shift+S to snap a partial screenshot, then paste that into the image upload. Its seamless, dont need to save images.

I have not yet once been able to roll cdr on an amulet and I haven't even seen it on a helmet. I feel like this is because I play sorc, so to me the beat argument to make a new character is simply to help roll gear.

Yes!! Tempering is the worst feature to ever happen to Diablo. I love the pros IF you hit your tempering a but for a gear piece that I’ve farm hours for to be bricked and not usable anymore is crazzyyy!

Trading adds the element of sleeze to the game which I really don't care for. I guess some people like it. And I guess you need a 'Master-Card' if you really want to do any Master-Working. I've spent over 60 million in resets, and can not get my helmet to crit on cooldown.
OMG… how after 200+hours i ddint know i can see which affix can be roll per spot while enchanting. I semi-follow a guide so i figured that if eg. armor is possible on a helm anything that i choose to re-roll can roll the armor i need… checkin this the sec i get back from work… soooo curious. thanks!
I spend 10 rerolls trying to get a crit on my Tyraels Might. All i wanted was anything other than resistance. ALL 10 WERE RESISTANCE. Over 50million and all my mats gone and its still stuck on resistance. No shot its not bugged
Two separate things are going on - Tempering and Masterworking...I believe @thedarkeness125 that @135Jaeger531 is talking about Masterworking since Tyreal's is an Uber unique.
@@thedarkness125 yes. First roll was to resistances (no max res). From there spend 5 million to reset it. Then tried a another roll, which was resistance again. I did that 8 more times, all rolled resistance. I just wanted the first crit on something useful and from there the rest i would take whatever. Diablo didnt even allow me to get past that first roll.

Get the comment train rolling here, good stuff, the pit mat table is surprising, Neathiron caps at 60 per run, so pushing higher is just for leader boards (which need to be added in game)
On the enchanting portion, it's less to do with the affix slot number/location than it is what affixes are in the other two slots. For instance, you can't ever get more than one element resistance on an item, so when you were looking at the possible affixes in the third slot, all other resistance options were removed because it already existed in the first slot. Same thing with Crit Damage being missing because the second slot was in that same "category" of affix. But had those first two slots been something like Int and Max Life, the third slot woulda had basically every affix possible. That said, you can kinda game the system and lower the possible affix pool on items but it's not always helpful on a lotta builds since you might end up with an unnecessary element resistance anyway.

But on to the glyphs, The radius of level 15 glyphs is 1 extra slot one more than 3 leading up to level 15. Why with no further expansion of the radius, why would you level to 21?
I uninstalled this game today after playing it for about 3 weeks and doing some endgame activities. I just was not feeilng the grind required to beat the stronger versions of the bosses. Did the level 100s, saw how trash the pit was treating my character and how i bricked about 5-7 items in a few days. Just can't do this. I'd rather play a MOBA like Dota2. This game is not rewarding skill, it's just about luck. Also i saw lots of people running around but very little social interaction ,what a lost opportunity. Most people playing this game are carryovers from 90s and 2000s really old folks now in midlife. No meme culture, no fun, it's so tedious after a while, the first few weeks are bearable though especially if you did not pay for the whole game and played it on XBOX subscription on a PC. Feels good man. Them giving a quality of life update as a "expansion" was the last straw. Also the folks who roam around with "wings" are toxic. They let it be known that they could "afford" it. Yea whatever .... I'm out ... happy grinding and bricking your gear and killing the same bosses over and over again. It's not fun. Also the open world is so predictable , run 40 steps meet a mob, run 50 steps meet a mob, go to the corners get a lilith totem. Spam spam spam spam ability.... understand damage formulas from folks who probably are paid by blizzard to keep this game on life support. Whew, I mean it's a good game but a lot of it is wasting the player's time a bit too much. Patience should be rewarded not luck and dumb shit like killing the same bosses over and over again and copying each other's builds or becoming obsolete. I mean bosses with seemingly endless health pools? Who thought of this? Being oneshotted by trash mobs after 50-100 hours in the game in the pit. Yea really encouraging, makes you want to gring gear to get 10% increase in suvivability that takes a week to farm and still is not complete. Even the chat there is populated with some spam website always telling you to buy in game currency and gear. Kind of hopeless how most of the unique gear is cucked so hard by even the regular legendaries that drop like lotteries with two "greater affixes" for trash stats or how the tempering guy keeps giving you crit strike when you just passed 50% and never before in the 50 hours of the game with any consistency. I'll be back maybe in a few years. When they release a new game or make it better. The loot season was ok i mean as a gimmick but there is no stopping power in running around for so little , an exercise in futility. I watched like 12 hours of youtubers or maybe more just to feel like the game is playable . I mean was it supposed to be like this ? Where is the fun, natural organic discovery of places and bosses? The "open world is just like a randomised designed jugsaw puzzle, perfectly solvable. The dungeons are all in a loop, far too much handholding and the drops are not rewarding enough especially when 20-30 items drop in events like killing a bunch of trahs in helltides. It becomes a clickfest, collect trash, sift through it to get some junk, then find out that the "junk" was actually usable but the game wants you to keep reaching for that so it wont let you use it with tempers. Tempers rolling for skills that you have never used 3-4 times in a row on 2 different occasions. Just a ploy by blizzard to keep you perpetually online with their spyware battle.net running in the background. That program does not even uninstall until you close Xbox app first , i mean i have never before seen such disrespect for user privacy and ethics. Even SCENE installers are more straight forward and transparent in what they install, how much info they access, and whether they run in background. This program felt like someone slipped you a roofie and then was asking you for money to drop the charges.

I m lvl 100 my attack is 52k, armour 14k, life 30k, all resistances are maxed but i m not able to clear rift lvl above 35, what am i doing wrong plz assist
Armor maxes out at like 9250 or about, so dont bother with anything above that and save those paragons/gems/stats for something else depending on how you got to your current number.
dayum i'm still stuck on farming eggs & shards just to get a chance at an uber from duriel can't get past lev60 pit cause don't have the mats for masterworking and ubers needed to get even close to 100pits. sigh.
Dont forget, on amulets u dont want to temper for better chance gettin +2 passive stat masterwork. Better odds when masterworking, cuz 2 less stats to masterwork odd Edit: im dumb, cant masterwork un tempered items.. my apologies
I have maxed 4 characters iron wolves rep in hell tides and still run tons more. I’ve leveled nearly 40 glyphs to 21. I’ve slayed the Ubers plenty too. Never ever have I ever ONCE had a triple greater affix drop. Don’t tell people helltides are the way to get em. I burn 1000+ cinders every helltide all off farming the maiden and that’s just a bold faced lie. They don’t drop off her or anywhere else except maybe 150 pits and a super rare drop off the Ubers bosses. I literally found 3 Uber uniques…never seen a triple ga item. And I can could the double ga items I’ve ever gotten on two hands.
I'm not a fan of selling stuff on these sites, but the gold costs is insane and starting to sold itens don't need and now are sitting at almost 2 bilions of gold. Got luck to drop a 3 GA Unique Ring thats sold at one bilion (ando probabilyt have more value). And spend a lot maxing out values or trying to get a better amulet for my rogue. Tempering its great, but so bad you can brick very good itens. If one of this is implemented its fix this. 1 - A rare item (same rarity that Stigian Stone) that reset the temper count to five 2 - Able to maintain previous tempering 3 - A choice of two options Same of masterwork, the reset all ranks is very punishing, thing the reset only remove the 25% bonus.

How do you get the in-game gold (or item) when you make the trade on an external website? Is this a Blizzard page? Login with battle net? Who gets access to this login data? Or do you need to organise a virtual meeting in game? Really? In what year was the in game auction house invented?
Watching further, we reverted back to trading system 😂. Blizz might as well bring back the auction house, which was nice in d3 before the whining took it out because some people only have an hour or less to play daily
For trying to roll skill slot enchant on a new char I take regular none greater affix gear or one grater affix gear and roll 5 times then move onto the next item. I've gotten decent starter gear on my chars doing that on the cheap.

How comes all top players have the masterwork done all levels on one afix... it's crazy how manny times you need to reset to get all 3 levels on same afix, how is this possible ?

100% wrong! I just reset mine and I got nothing back except the normal materials you get from disenchanting legendaries and stuff. No Obducite or whatever.
how do you reroll the temper slots, and maintain the bonuses? You lose the last bonus if you temper a new one.... Also, Use crappy items you dont need to temper first, figure out the pattern of the tempering system. Basically using dummy gear to waste temper rolls and using the good piece of equipment after not getting the affix you wanted on other pieces of gear for a lot of rolls.

just drop it back into the slot like you’re going to upgrade it and you should get a button to hit. The reroll option might be listed at the bottom on console, I can’t remember off the top of my head and I’m not online. It would be something like “hold down X,”’ but I’m pretty sure its just a reroll button when you result the item into the upgrade slot.
@@patrickblack7823 yeah the option on pc is big af. On console it’s this little line of text on the bottom of the screen. Never noticed it. My build isn’t optimized completely so it takes me like 5 minutes to clear tier 90s. Takes a while to farm those mats for masterwork 😪

What I don't get, is that people running teir 100 plus pits don't really need the stones for ubers, as they're builds are already incredible. I don't get why the mats to farm bosses is so rare, on top of ubers being nearly non-existent for the average player. I've ran nearly 50 uber boss runs and have had one uber drop for a friend. I've still not gotten anything. I know my RNG is trash.

Oh my hell! I’ve wasted so much good master gear. Had no idea you could master forge. I knew all the other forging, but not that you could upgrade them by ranks. I luckily I’ve saved allot of them, but damn. It would have been so much easier. I have a whole set to master gear to forge tomorrow. I’m stoked. Thank you for this video!

couldnt possibly be. you get two affixes and cant roll two of the same affix per reroll. you meant to say you simply kept it on resistance.

I think you forgot to mention to do like 59 69 79 89 and 99 pit runs because jumping from 99-100 there is a big health increase for the mobs.

soo making money is basically price gauging people for ingame gold...got it.
People have a ton of gold to spend for really good items. Not price gauging just what they are worth
On the enchanting portion, it's less to do with the affix slot number/location than it is what affixes are in the other two slots. For instance, you can't ever get more than one element resistance on an item, so when you were looking at the possible affixes in the third slot, all other resistance options were removed because it already existed in the first slot. Same thing with Crit Damage being missing because the second slot was in that same "category" of affix. But had those first two slots been something like Int and Max Life, the third slot woulda had basically every affix possible.
That said, you can kinda game the system and lower the possible affix pool on items but it's not always helpful on a lotta builds since you might end up with an unnecessary element resistance anyway.

But on to the glyphs, The radius of level 15 glyphs is 1 extra slot one more than 3 leading up to level 15. Why with no further expansion of the radius, why would you level to 21?

you can use holy bolts as low as 79 and still get enough from 2 runs to make free elixirs of holy bolts
I uninstalled this game today after playing it for about 3 weeks and doing some endgame activities. I just was not feeilng the grind required to beat the stronger versions of the bosses. Did the level 100s, saw how trash the pit was treating my character and how i bricked about 5-7 items in a few days. Just can't do this. I'd rather play a MOBA like Dota2. This game is not rewarding skill, it's just about luck. Also i saw lots of people running around but very little social interaction ,what a lost opportunity. Most people playing this game are carryovers from 90s and 2000s really old folks now in midlife. No meme culture, no fun, it's so tedious after a while, the first few weeks are bearable though especially if you did not pay for the whole game and played it on XBOX subscription on a PC. Feels good man. Them giving a quality of life update as a "expansion" was the last straw. Also the folks who roam around with "wings" are toxic. They let it be known that they could "afford" it. Yea whatever .... I'm out ... happy grinding and bricking your gear and killing the same bosses over and over again. It's not fun. Also the open world is so predictable , run 40 steps meet a mob, run 50 steps meet a mob, go to the corners get a lilith totem. Spam spam spam spam ability.... understand damage formulas from folks who probably are paid by blizzard to keep this game on life support. Whew, I mean it's a good game but a lot of it is wasting the player's time a bit too much. Patience should be rewarded not luck and dumb shit like killing the same bosses over and over again and copying each other's builds or becoming obsolete. I mean bosses with seemingly endless health pools? Who thought of this? Being oneshotted by trash mobs after 50-100 hours in the game in the pit. Yea really encouraging, makes you want to gring gear to get 10% increase in suvivability that takes a week to farm and still is not complete. Even the chat there is populated with some spam website always telling you to buy in game currency and gear. Kind of hopeless how most of the unique gear is cucked so hard by even the regular legendaries that drop like lotteries with two "greater affixes" for trash stats or how the tempering guy keeps giving you crit strike when you just passed 50% and never before in the 50 hours of the game with any consistency. I'll be back maybe in a few years. When they release a new game or make it better. The loot season was ok i mean as a gimmick but there is no stopping power in running around for so little , an exercise in futility. I watched like 12 hours of youtubers or maybe more just to feel like the game is playable . I mean was it supposed to be like this ? Where is the fun, natural organic discovery of places and bosses? The "open world is just like a randomised designed jugsaw puzzle, perfectly solvable. The dungeons are all in a loop, far too much handholding and the drops are not rewarding enough especially when 20-30 items drop in events like killing a bunch of trahs in helltides. It becomes a clickfest, collect trash, sift through it to get some junk, then find out that the "junk" was actually usable but the game wants you to keep reaching for that so it wont let you use it with tempers. Tempers rolling for skills that you have never used 3-4 times in a row on 2 different occasions. Just a ploy by blizzard to keep you perpetually online with their spyware battle.net running in the background. That program does not even uninstall until you close Xbox app first , i mean i have never before seen such disrespect for user privacy and ethics. Even SCENE installers are more straight forward and transparent in what they install, how much info they access, and whether they run in background. This program felt like someone slipped you a roofie and then was asking you for money to drop the charges.

Armor maxes out at like 9250 or about, so dont bother with anything above that and save those paragons/gems/stats for something else depending on how you got to your current number.

I have maxed 4 characters iron wolves rep in hell tides and still run tons more. I’ve leveled nearly 40 glyphs to 21. I’ve slayed the Ubers plenty too.
Never ever have I ever ONCE had a triple greater affix drop. Don’t tell people helltides are the way to get em. I burn 1000+ cinders every helltide all off farming the maiden and that’s just a bold faced lie. They don’t drop off her or anywhere else except maybe 150 pits and a super rare drop off the Ubers bosses. I literally found 3 Uber uniques…never seen a triple ga item. And I can could the double ga items I’ve ever gotten on two hands.
The problem is the gold cost to masterwork. I do not even do it anymore. I do not have the gold to even complete 1 item.

I also had gold issues, but luckily sold a dagger for 800kk. Now I can build my character without problem

I'm not a fan of selling stuff on these sites, but the gold costs is insane and starting to sold itens don't need and now are sitting at almost 2 bilions of gold. Got luck to drop a 3 GA Unique Ring thats sold at one bilion (ando probabilyt have more value). And spend a lot maxing out values or trying to get a better amulet for my rogue.
Tempering its great, but so bad you can brick very good itens. If one of this is implemented its fix this.
1 - A rare item (same rarity that Stigian Stone) that reset the temper count to five
2 - Able to maintain previous tempering
3 - A choice of two options
Same of masterwork, the reset all ranks is very punishing, thing the reset only remove the 25% bonus.

For trying to roll skill slot enchant on a new char I take regular none greater affix gear or one grater affix gear and roll 5 times then move onto the next item. I've gotten decent starter gear on my chars doing that on the cheap.

did you miss to mention? if you enchant a tempered crit (25%) the new enchant also gets that +25% stat.. from each 4/8/12 masterworkings.

they need to introduce an item you can get around 60+ pit that gives 1 tempering reroll since it's so gamba based...
how do you reroll the temper slots, and maintain the bonuses? You lose the last bonus if you temper a new one....
Also, Use crappy items you dont need to temper first, figure out the pattern of the tempering system. Basically using dummy gear to waste temper rolls and using the good piece of equipment after not getting the affix you wanted on other pieces of gear for a lot of rolls.

just drop it back into the slot like you’re going to upgrade it and you should get a button to hit. The reroll option might be listed at the bottom on console, I can’t remember off the top of my head and I’m not online. It would be something like “hold down X,”’ but I’m pretty sure its just a reroll button when you result the item into the upgrade slot.

What I don't get, is that people running teir 100 plus pits don't really need the stones for ubers, as they're builds are already incredible. I don't get why the mats to farm bosses is so rare, on top of ubers being nearly non-existent for the average player. I've ran nearly 50 uber boss runs and have had one uber drop for a friend. I've still not gotten anything. I know my RNG is trash.

Oh my hell! I’ve wasted so much good master gear. Had no idea you could master forge. I knew all the other forging, but not that you could upgrade them by ranks. I luckily I’ve saved allot of them, but damn. It would have been so much easier. I have a whole set to master gear to forge tomorrow. I’m stoked. Thank you for this video!

Question. For master working, there are these "manuals" we find, and click on. Would it be correct that NOT learning a manual, wouldn't that decrease potential affixes? Or are the manuals just upgrading stats already available?
