Now I have seen various comments (or complaints) and there are some validity to them. Incorporating D3 features should have been base game right off the bat not repackaged and resold... the majority of the game is played by solo players yet they chose to incorporate a raid... oof... now I will say season 5 is good but the probability of it going back to rough is there but I guess we'll see
I own D4, came with my Xbox, & haven’t played in a while. It was my go-to local-coop game to play whenever my bro visits… but it felt pointless, tbh. Occasionally it was fun when our chars got new spells. But the dungeons didn’t make us want to explore, nor did we understand why we cleared them. Elden Ring, on the other hand, has felt purposeful all throughout the game, & I just defeated Messmer + Midra tonight 😃🙏🏽
Yep D4 is a huge disappointment. The company that essentially invented the genre can't even make a good Diablo game any more. Sad. Elden Ring is on a whole other level compared to anything Blizzard can do.
You're basically describing why the ARPG genre is lowkey terrible. The gameplay isn't skill-based, it's just stat-based, so all of the "challenge" comes from farming gear until your stats can overcome a higher level of enemy. Path of Exile 2 is trying to change this up by introducing a lot more skill-based gameplay. By comparison, Diablo 4 is stuck 10+ years in the past.
Its intereseting to see that they restructure the game by what looks like quite a bit. BUT; will it be more fun in the end? I cant tell to be honest. The late game grind for Solo players right now during seasons.. is a tad boring.. if not senseless, because there is so much of nothgin between you beeing level 80 and the time when you with level 100 are able to beat level 200 to actualyl get some of those mythics. The time needed is insane.. espcially because nothing happens except you grind for masterworking materials. Unless that part is changes i am very very skeptic here
Been playing wukong. Dropped d4 so the recent changes haven’t impacted me. Will definitely give the new season a shot. If not, there’s always warhammer
@@Frostcat2272 Probably Space Marine 2. Unless he means the Warhammer 40K ARPG? Which is actually quite fun, imo. Nothing groundbreaking in terms of mechanics, but if you love the 40K aesthetic and lore, it has it in spades
Does this mean it might actually be fun and somewhat challenging to level a character? I stopped playing because just holding a button to attack and not taking any damage got very boring very quickly.
I’m so glad I let the drones pay $70 and beta test this game for me. Though, it seems it’s not done yet, maybe another year in the oven, and I’ll get everything packaged and tested for a -80% discount LMAO.
D4 is the best game of the last 5 years for me and my GF, Blizzards support of it is phenomenal and its a bteer game every time i boot it up, which is almsot everyday tbh
I'll be honest I prefer my AARPG's single player. Going live service is great way to ruin the experience. Grim Dawn is basically perfect, and Titan Quest 2 will probably continue on in that same spirit.
I think it's time I look up more info about that game. Next to PoE 2, the name keeps popping up everywhere. :) As a casual gamer, I might get more bang out of my buck instead of this "we don't know how to please you, please help us?" kinda developing.
As a casual player, I had some real fun with the last two seasons. And I was looking forward to the expansion. Now, a bit less. I'll still play it for the lore and environments, but gameplay wise... it's back to the old grind. And not the: "here is a finish line, cross it for a new kind of grind and then take a breather.", but more of a "see the finish line waaay over there at the horizon? Now go get to it." I see a lot of dissatisfied people making a connection to D3, which is a bad thing. It should just be the opposite. From what I gather, it should compare more to D2 then anything else. It should rise above it even. Oh well, might change in the far future (after anther dozen patches where they try to keep the fans happy), let's hope it's not a wave form with ups and downs and that it gets stuck in mediocracy while for example Path of Exile 2 will overshadow it by a large amount. Or even Titan Quest 2 for that matter. Now that would be a real shame. Good luck to all hardcore streamers and expert players out there. Once again, you have a mountain of dung to wade trough before you'll be able to wash yourself off and have a good game to show for. Here's to rough waters. *raises glass* Me? I'll just enjoy the expansion and move on. Still, I'll keep checking articles to see where this game is going. lol After all, it's "still" Diablo. *edit* And as a casual player I find it ridiculous there is a shop in there even, even though you have NOTHING to show for it other then a loading screen sometimes where your gear is shown in all detail. (at least with the amount it costs, although I have bought something.) The least they could do is implement a photo mode or have your character show up more close up in cutscenes instead of above or something.
Honestly, as a casual player this is just exhausting. I finally got a char to lvl 100, had to replace all his gear, because of last season's gear changes ... and now they're changing gear again, alongside difficulties, skill points, paragon points, etc. And the runes ... do they ... replace gems now? If you say they can be slotted into gem sockets, why would I ever have a gem in there? Also, really not a big fan of gaining skills from other classes. Doesn't make a lot of sense, and, well, I want to play as my class, not a different class ... at that point just let me be a druid sorcerer, multi-classing .-. Dunno ... not sure I'll even get the xpac at launch. I do play from time to time ... sort of while listening to podcasts, but Blizz won't see a penny from me for battle passes or shop bullshit.
Well, at least it keeps it semi-fresh rather than every season being the same thing and having to level a new character with the same mechanics yet again. But I get your point.
not sure I understand... you roll a new character every season... why worry about changes affecting your current characters when you won't play them next season
Can’t agree more, I’ve finally finished my build this season and got my first ever mythic drop today, and learned that all my 925 gears that took me so long to gather and temper are turning into useless 500 next expansion , including the mythic. it really puts me off too keep playing this season. I understand the new changes are probably for the better in the future season, but why do they have to ruin what i already have? just keep the current items as they are and let us transition into the new gears.
@@moon9lightnot everyone one play in seasonal realm , not every season at least. sometimes when i finished all the seasonal stuff, I went back to eternal character just to play a different class or finish the build that i didn’t finish last season. If a seasonal character is totally worthless after a season, why blizzard bother moving it to eternal realm, just delete it at the end.

I loved diablo 1-3 so much idk why i just cant get into D4 its unfortunate because I have always loved diablo the vibe just seems off in the 4th one. I just feel like its an endless grindfest for absolutely no reason. The world is just boring after exploring it once.
I wasn’t here for D3 when it went through massive changes from the time it launched to what it became in the eternal collection. If I had known the same thing would have happened to D4 I would have waited. lol.
Tbh I just feel a little undervalued for my time and money after slogging since S0. So much so that I’m willing to not buy Vessel and just wait until it comes to game pass assuming it does in x months. The break has been nice. I’m glad things are improving but money has been tight stateside so if I’m going to support a game expansion it should be a banger. I know SotE is an apples and oranges comparison. But I felt extremely valued for my money with that expansion. It’s really reshaped my view on how content updates should be. I’ve had a lot of fun on D4. But with fun has come just as many feelings of wasted time.
Start to get where it should have been from day one, did need a year and one extra cost for folks tho. :) I just hope they follow the trail of d3 stuff and let us plvl in a few min to max lvl on alts. :)
Reducing players from lvl 100 down to lvl 50. Removing their access to the pit and essentially bricking all their gear is never going to garner any loyalty from fans and gamers. Had I known all these changes were going to happen like this, I would never of bought VOH. The absolute last time I trust this company. So tired of being treated with such lack of care for my time. Go to hell Blizzard!
Imagine how amazing Diablo 4 could’ve been if all the old devs and project managers were still working there. They took something with so much potential and wasted it. The new spirit born class looks boring. Basically making the Druid class redundant. Also the price of the expansion is so greedy it makes me sick.
It still can be bricked. Once you use a scroll on an item you cannot use another on it. So you get double the chances now before it actually fully bricks
I still don’t understand the new leveling system. Is it like D3? You earn paragon points with paragon levels and these paragon levels are shared with all characters? I actually enjoyed that system. So all the characters on lvl 100 are tiny back to 50. With the expansion, lvl 60 is the new lvl cap. And after that you are gonna earn paragon levels?
Diablo fan since 1997. D4 brings nothing new to the table. The only thing that improved since D2 are the graphics, the gamedesign and systems are getting worse with every release. They lost all the core gamers in their production teams and it shows. Let us be clear, they are now celebrated to bring the NEWSET release on a level where they left the previous. It is mind blowing in a bad way. The state this game will be in, WITH THE RELEASED ADDON, should have been the release state of the D4 Basegame. Glad I didn´t pay the full price and I will not buy the Addon for the full price. I´d maybe pick it up for 15-20 Euros when it´s on sale. Blizzard nolonger stays for professional polished games. They still have Acitivision poisoning. Let´s hope they can make it back to their former glory.
D4 devs really have no idea what they're doing. There like children trying to recreate the wonders of their ancestors, however the knowledge of how to do so has long since been forgetting. Grinding gears never lost that knowledge, poe2 baby!
It's pretty obvious, even for casual players like myself. They just don't know how or where to turn to try and appease all the fans. They're altering the game since the start like it's russian roulette.
Definitely it's became an overly monetized game just like Diablo immortal that's what d4 will eventually end like u can tell in the cosmetics being shoved down ur throat on top the dlc nothing but a money grab an should sue since wtf did I pre order for 100 an now the full game comes out in October 😂😂no lube or dinner thax blizzard
I’ve been trying to figure out if this game is for me or not for over a year. I’ve never seen a game be patched and fixed so many times I don’t even know what to think about the game anymore
I stopped playing when I had gotten through all the content, just before season 1 started. None of the seasons have been enough to make me jump back in. This DLC is gonna do it though, I'll be back.
Runes being builder->spender is so so so so so boring. The original builder->spender philosophy for skills was the fatal flaw of D4 and it's sad to see them double-down on it.
Burnt out on D4. These changes are exhausting and i dont see any positives as a casual player. What i wanted was a way for higher chance uber drops because for 3 seasons i have never seen one. Did 50 runs of durial and 25 runs of andarial with not one. Even if I get one, its bound to a season. What's the point?
For the last 2 seasons, I did 4 characters each to get my 4 Replendents by farming to open those season chest by collecting (Nice that you don't need to go all the way to level 100 to unlock the final chest like level 92 or 93 for my characters) and have the helmet and Chest armor now. Did that after trying for Unique's like you and got nothing then, remembered there is another way which I did. Took about 2 weeks to get the 4 resplendent each season to trade in for a unique. First char w/o a doubt is the longest which takes most time for that is the one you unlock season rewards etc... with the other 3, fly threw level fast and bam open last chest to get Resplendent Spark. Start a new char rinse and repeat.
@@truthseeker6532 The fact that most builds need the Helm and chest to make them work is the issue with Diablo 4 - The specs all suck unless you have very specific gear - makes folks not want to play it
@@audiojake8 The game has levels/difficulty to it. You can always stop at a certain level/difficulty. You don't have to go all the way. Keep in mind, you play for fun.
I made the statue with all of my friends I played with (ok minus one rip). I literally don’t think this is enough still. This game as obviously rushed and PoE 2 is just going to wait and then demolish to grab the d4 players. The way they’re doing rune words is just rebranded malignant hearts. If they just did d2 rune words then that I bet would be more well received. Idk. I have little faith in the dev team.
Fans: we want more variety, more endgame Blizzard: Best I can do is rework the base game again, make most your old characters useless, and add a lot more RNG to the end game"
Unfortunately no matter how many quality of life improvement they make for casual players, they can't bring the excitement of loot hunting anymore. The skin system killed it. If only they had made the skin system into actual loot-able items and put a paid restriction on time spent farming...
Just remember your opinion doesn’t make fact. I still enjoy doing loot even though I’m rocking my WoW skin. Sometimes I mix and match. But with these changes keep in mind more changes are coming.

Adding 4 more world tiers rather than balancing around the 4 WT they have currently. This is going to be lame when combined with their lackluster itemization.
No, the best part of Diablo 3 was climbing the torment tiers, having so few difficulties made d4 lame
@@bigchungus7050 yea, havin so few difficulties is what makes d4 lame ahhaha dude i see you havent played the game at all if you think only that is what made d4 a failure
Still no Sword and Shield. Good lord man, this is so stupid.

I took a long break, finally working on my level 100 character. I guess I better hurry before level 100 isn't a thing anymore 😑

Elden Ring, on the other hand, has felt purposeful all throughout the game, & I just defeated Messmer + Midra tonight 😃🙏🏽
we don't care
@@TheMaster500ifyI care lol. Are you okay?
Yeah man, after the first three dungeons it's all the same, no reason to enter another dungeon
Will your PTR charterer carry over to the full release?
Its intereseting to see that they restructure the game by what looks like quite a bit. BUT; will it be more fun in the end? I cant tell to be honest. The late game grind for Solo players right now during seasons.. is a tad boring.. if not senseless, because there is so much of nothgin between you beeing level 80 and the time when you with level 100 are able to beat level 200 to actualyl get some of those mythics. The time needed is insane.. espcially because nothing happens except you grind for masterworking materials. Unless that part is changes i am very very skeptic here
I really like most of the changes. The only one I'm not a fan of is the changes to the number of paragon boards
honestly, d4 was a very fun experience to me on launch, and i cant wait for the expansion...100hours of fun is good enough for me
So do we have to start our characters from scratch???
Do you still have to do a season character?
Been playing wukong. Dropped d4 so the recent changes haven’t impacted me. Will definitely give the new season a shot. If not, there’s always warhammer
What warhammer game you playing? Total war? Space marine?
@@Frostcat2272probably means the new one coming out this week
@@Frostcat2272 Probably Space Marine 2. Unless he means the Warhammer 40K ARPG? Which is actually quite fun, imo. Nothing groundbreaking in terms of mechanics, but if you love the 40K aesthetic and lore, it has it in spades
Any news on the new end game coop activity? Nice vid!
Buying Diablo was the worst money I've ever spent in my life.
Do we still need to create seasonal characters?
Does this game still have seasonal resets?
As a casual player, I had some real fun with the last two seasons. And I was looking forward to the expansion. Now, a bit less.
I'll still play it for the lore and environments, but gameplay wise... it's back to the old grind. And not the: "here is a finish line, cross it for a new kind of grind and then take a breather.", but more of a "see the finish line waaay over there at the horizon? Now go get to it."
I see a lot of dissatisfied people making a connection to D3, which is a bad thing.
*edit*
And as a casual player I find it ridiculous there is a shop in there even, even though you have NOTHING to show for it other then a loading screen sometimes where your gear is shown in all detail. (at least with the amount it costs, although I have bought something.)
The least they could do is implement a photo mode or have your character show up more close up in cutscenes instead of above or something.
For real if game designers can’t get it right on release and STILL can’t get it right 4 seasons deep… why would I give them a chance on season 5??
not sure I understand... you roll a new character every season... why worry about changes affecting your current characters when you won't play them next season
If a seasonal character is totally worthless after a season, why blizzard bother moving it to eternal realm, just delete it at the end.
you can only hire a merc if u have expansion pack o.O?
The changes are great. Excited!
honestly looking forward to jumping back in

say one thing abt the gaming industry, say there's no shortage of games, some of them r actually innovative, fun and not toxic
@ 05:37 The devs said that you could ONLY equip ONE SET of Runewords? So what gives?? It clearly shows TWO sets!
Wished they gave the Necro another way to use corpses other than corpse explosion and the tentacles.
Start to get where it should have been from day one, did need a year and one extra cost for folks tho. :)
I just hope they follow the trail of d3 stuff and let us plvl in a few min to max lvl on alts. :)
Is the new class a WD?
Reducing players from lvl 100 down to lvl 50. Removing their access to the pit and essentially bricking all their gear is never going to garner any loyalty from fans and gamers. Had I known all these changes were going to happen like this, I would never of bought VOH. The absolute last time I trust this company. So tired of being treated with such lack of care for my time. Go to hell Blizzard!
I think Last Epoch is very underrated and is a perfect balance between path of exile and Diablo 4.
Imagine how amazing Diablo 4 could’ve been if all the old devs and project managers were still working there. They took something with so much potential and wasted it. The new spirit born class looks boring. Basically making the Druid class redundant. Also the price of the expansion is so greedy it makes me sick.
The best change to D4 2.0 are scrolls to give us more temper chances so we do not brick items
It still can be bricked. Once you use a scroll on an item you cannot use another on it. So you get double the chances now before it actually fully bricks
do we still need gold to respecs?
I'll probably just wait for a Paladin type class.. But I'll probably at least play the story for vessel of hatred
Can any one answer me please ... so with party finder i can search for a party to defeat Uber Lilith as an example ?
Let´s hope they can make it back to their former glory.
ok boomer

Ok you won’t be missed
Played all the seasons, looking forward to the new DLC
It all looks good but I’m unsure if I will go back. I think I’m going to play POE in preparation for POE2
Wtf are you talking about 😂 game is great tbh
@@terrible1fi hey good for you if ya think thay, have fun!
Poe 2 will be complete garbage just like the first one
I’ve been trying to figure out if this game is for me or not for over a year. I’ve never seen a game be patched and fixed so many times I don’t even know what to think about the game anymore
Take it from someone with a few hundred hours in the game: please don’t waste your time and money.
Kudos for party finding. Finally... it took awhile.
PSA for anyone looking for better from the genre. Grim Dawn just got an xpac too
If you have a char that completes the campaign this season can you use them in the expansion story? I am NOT playing the campaign again...
It's looking good ! Season 4 and 5 have been fun. There are still a few changes needed, but this looks good.
The runes in Diablo 4 won´t be as close and as fun as they were in Diablo 2, that´s s shame.
I stopped playing when I had gotten through all the content, just before season 1 started. None of the seasons have been enough to make me jump back in. This DLC is gonna do it though, I'll be back.
Haven't played in a while. Will likely get back to it. At some point. Maybe?
Lol. That is the D4 vibe. Will play if bored I guess? But don't want to end up feeling depressed from it being soulless.
Not going to lie, I liked people nuking bosses in one hit so I can get the loot to improve my own build. Meh on the multiple tiers of difficulties.
What's the point?
skill issue, just craft one
not to make you feel bad but I had two drop my first tormented boss fight lmfao

The game has levels/difficulty to it. You can always stop at a certain level/difficulty.
You don't have to go all the way.
Keep in mind, you play for fun.
Making the game more complex? Not sure about that, but I am downloading the public test server as I type.
So only 5-7 more huge updates before it’s worth playing. Sweet
They also said that level 60 cap was only a rumour .
Still don't see the point behind a lower level cap....?!?!?
You get to max level faster and then gain all the champion points you farmed with other characters, this makes trying other classes easier
are they reworking overpowered builds with the removal of max life gems??
Looks like the lower armor and health could make us glass canons.
Fans: we want more variety, more endgame
Blizzard: Best I can do is rework the base game again, make most your old characters useless, and add a lot more RNG to the end game"
CC at the beginning is odd then it just going away takes it to an even more awkward feel but glad it gets dropped.
