Edit: I want to mention that Lucky Hit Chance has some further benefits besides damage, which were not discussed in this video such as faster staggering of Bosses. It also can lead into a smoother gameplay experience since your Victimize will proc more often (especially in lower tier pits).
The point I wanted to make in this video is that LHC is not as effective for increasing your damage as many people believe and especially on rings its a bit overrated affix imo (so dont spend all your gold on trading sites buying them lol)

Swapping moonrise for the basic attack speed I'm able to hit the 11 frame attack speed but loose 80% basic attack damage. I'm a smooth brain but it feels like I'm doing more damage this way. Gear is fairly optimized I'd say but after watching this I probably have to much Lucky hit chance. Adding 2 basic attack gems supplements the loss but I lose 40% vulnerable damage. Also thank you for content and doing the work we don't have time to figure out. LEGEND

Thats a bug, they're patching it so temper two or get more vulnerable conditions.
@@dyamiking253 I am not sure what you are referencing. I am talking about the affix on items that heartseeker builds uses to maintain vulnerable on the target. The only potential "bug" on that is that the duration goes from 2 > 3 seconds, but that has nothing to do with what I commented :)

Basically lucky hit has diminishing returns when it comes to victimize damage. But there’s still lucky hit to cc with the tempers which helps with stagger therefore increasing your dps on bosses and also the chance to apply vulnerable affix
thats absolutelty true! I did not want to make this video longer than it is but maybe I should have covered some other upsides of LH as well. My main point was to show that other stats can be better at increasing pure DPS which many people find hard to believe
Besides of all those aspects (cc,stagger,heal, dark shroud ect.) Lucky hit is pretty much only BIS on andy rogue currently (and that only because poisons dont crit). good explanation
I think another angle to consider with LH chance is that it will increase the amount of crowd control procs you're getting. It's doing more than just directly scaling your DPS.
yes but what he calculated was multiplying a probability by the damage. so 1 million damage times probability of 1/2 times the proc of 20 million is the average expected statistical damage per second. You wont actually do that amount of damage 6 million that he calculated. Its an average over the procs and non-procs. An average of all the millions and 20 millions

What about Topaz in the weapons?! Giving up 80% vulnerable for 180% basic damage, that join the 160% basic skill dmg from the moonrise imprint and the 120% basic dmg from the adaptability imprint. Gaining about 1/3 more basic damage (where the victimize damage is calculated of) and going down from 452% to 426% in the victimize-tooltip. I get consistently better clear times on the same pit with yellow gems in the weapons.

I been switching back n forth from blue gems to yellow in weapons and I can't tell what's better haha. I heard once you are over 1600% vulnerable then you should use yellow but I swear yellow feel better and I'm only at 1300 so idk...
@@rickybrown8264 yeah it be awesome if a content creator would make a video of showing examples and testing on this cause I’m sure it’s a matter of damage % but everything is crowd controlled so hard to judge but if we all knew one of the two options gave us numbers like 20 mill per hit compared to 30 mill per hit would definitely matter right

Did you mention in your previous guide why you recommend Vulnerable/ blue gems for weapons aa opposed to yellow/ Basic skill damage? Thanks for the guides and breakdowns.
I have a few situations I was curious about, in regard to how significant those extra skill affixes are.
Are Exploit, Malice, or Frigid significant enough to where it would be better to have one of them if 1 one of the other affixes on the item had to be a useless?
As the list goes down from Exploit to malice to frigid, would it be better to have an item with say 1 malice compared to 2 frigid?

Exploit is worth most for sure but frigid and malice are very close in dmg so wouldn’t be worth it
So, if you could have the chance to make enemies vulnerable on two items instead of lucky hit chance one of them, would that be better?
Is freeze the best for lucky hit chance? Then stun, then daze, and then immobilize?
If you hit stun quickly would you try to reroll for freeze?
If you end up with immobilize would you brick the item if you have another that is similar? (Due to them still being able to attack)
Ideally you want all of them for faster staggering. Freeze is the best though

I have 66% lucky hit chance with HS without elixir, no greater affix though, haven't been lucky enough but I also have 67% CC with at least 2 dark shroud's up even before SS.
Thanks, now I know my gear is all wrong lol however I do "feel" I hit harder with lucky chance stuff. I never get good GA gear. But I run concealment either so maybe my hold build is off.

I think how this works is it gives you a multiplicative LH chance bonus so I can imagine it being quite powerful indeed 👀

I’ve never had my lucky hit chance high enough to do anything. It needs to be available on all gear even helmet and chest. I never liked how stats are limited to only certain items.

I Show crit chance at the of the video it’s also about 8,4% per 11% CC. Attack speed is more complicated since breakpoint dependent
So what is your recommendation? Having one item with LHC is useful but more is not? Did I get it right?
It depends on your attack speed etc, I just levelled the build to around 80 and managed to get gloves and ring with greater LH chance affixes, that plus the potion and everything is basically insta frozen. You get to a stage where having more LH chance on gear is just wasted stat potential. Play around and see if things are getting frozen, find the balance.

That's not even a lot. I'm chilling, sitting on 2B with 2 maxed out chars. And a member of my guild have currently 5B, with 1 kinda max out char.

Yelp, i have 1000%+ vulnerable damage and not making ask much dmg, my dmg stitting aroung 56k. Not using topaz on weapon maybe i shoud swap since ihave tones of Vul %?
With 56k dmg you mean attack power? Pls forget about this value because it’s meaningless unfortunately. The best way to increase your dmg is by adding more vuln dmg, attack speed and crit/Lh
so whats the ideal percenatge of lucky hit chance a rogue should have ?
idk.. but i feel like im clearing my dungeons better with more LH chance. my heartseeker tooltip says 78% without flask. i think u have to find the sweet spot by urself. i would say atleast 65%.
This is weird lol. I just swapped vuln for LH to stun bosses faster and have jumped 11 levels over my previous pit ceiling 🤔
I don’t even used the shacko, I used the anderil vasaige helmet with the tyrils might and oh boy it’s crazy, you just fly through the pit👍. You don’t need shacko I have two and I don’t even used it.
victimize will not proc if the target is not vulnerable. that is the condition

Tolles Video mal wieder. Darf ich dir zwei Fragen stellen? Ich habe 4 Items mit Chance auf CC (3x freeze 1x immo) - Ich habe leider den Stun nicht getroffen. Habe ich dadurch Nachteile, weil 3x Freeze? Zweite Frage: Ich habe ein Amulett nur mit Exploit drauf. Soll ich lieber auf ein Amu gehen mit LH, Crit Chance, bis ich Amulett mit 2 oder 3 +2/3 gefunden habe?
🙏🏼 1) soweit ich weiß staggert man Bosse am schnellsten mit unterschiedlichen CC Quellen, kannst ja mal vergleichen wie lange es ca bei dir dauert und bei mir. 2) exploit ist schon sehr wichtig, da es doppelt gezählt wird momentan mit victimize. Würd sagen ein amu mit 2 exploit und LH / crit ist besser als eins ohne exploit

I’m not sure why, but I was matching your build very close and Pit 100’s I was doing in 5 mins.
Swapped to a full lucky hit build and now I clear in sub 3 mins.
I absolutely take your word for it, but the lucky hit build just felt way more consistent across the board and bosses just melt.

idk exactly maybe with different setups / gear / playstyle you get different results but actually vulnerable dmg should be even better if you character is not perfected yet. maybe also small sample size (LH is obviously very random)
Seeing as you're doing these deep dives into heartseeker buids, aren't crossbows technically higher DPS than bows for heartseeker?
If you reach 15 frames with an xbow vs 13 with a bow, you should be doing quite a bit more damage, no? And there's a vuln implicit, and possibly weapon mastery is better if you have enough crit chance?
You might have a point there! I did not compare it since the AS breakpoints were revelead but I know that m1py is currently running a crossbow for pit pushing so maybe you re right

This disregards the dps loss from all the crowd control/status effect multipliers all over the talent tree/aspect/paragon tree as a result of less lucky proc all over those effects. I would love to see a path of building for diablo 4 to figure all these out.

How do we calculate the first damage number?
1 million is just an assumption to make it easy. The damage formula is quite complex if wanna go deep into it

Do you play with the same aspects as I do? Especially retribution is currently bugged giving 60% dmg vs stunned and knocked down enemies
I did a build with damage % added to bow and duals..%250 dmg. And i having 70k dmg. I want to ask you is it effecting to vulne dmg ?? I have now on victimize 2.200%

I always thought lucky hit chance was useless unless you are using things that need lucky hit chance to proc. Even then it’s still useless unless you have a ton of it I don’t know maybe 40-50%. I assumed it would never proc if your chance was too low.
This is how it is understood with infinimist Necromancer. Before 50% or more, LH doesn’t accomplish what you need it to for the build to function properly.
@@ver2cal2010 I find it very difficult for most builds to get 50% lucky hit chance so I’ve always stayed away from anything that procs only on lucky hit. I could be wrong but for me personally lucky hit chance has never been reliable.
unless I'm looking at the wrong planner, it shows you using lucky hit chance on your rings.
He explained in the video why it's on the ring. He was actually not trying to roll but RNG stepped in lol
@@frustrated0goat I saw that in the video. But my statement is about the planner he's linked. He states in the video that the planner doesn't show lucky hit chance on the rings. Which clearly in his planner it shows lucky hit chance. I was hoping he would fix his planner to show his recommended affix for the rings. If not for watching this video, I would have never realized he doesn't recommend lucky hit chance on his rings.

My victimized damage percentage is at 1783% and my lucky hit chance is at 60% with potion due to uber helm. Without uber helm i sit at 60% without potion. I still dont clear as fast as you im trash i guess 😅
doesn't this mean you don't even need lucky hit on gears? since heartseeker already has lucky hit
I can recommend it on gloves and amu cuz its hard to find one with 3 skill ranks
The thing is what about people that are in Tier 3 that are only around level 60? Shouldnt I be adding lucky chance more, because mine are lower % for adding on to gear? Thats my thing where is the point you can start playing this.
All the guides out are geared around people in Tier 4 with at least close to 925 gear and full Paragon boards. What the hell do you do prior to.
You don't level with this build, this is an end game stuff. Before you have a critical mass of vuln damage, AS, and LH you can't play this. You have to play something else
Use barrage until you're 100
Farm helltown for 10 hours and you're ready for endgame
@@darknoob89 I leveled with this build just fine in helltide. around lvl 70 I had good enough gear to clear t40- 50 nightmare dungeons.
I been using heartseeker since lvl 50 to 100 but i started with barrage too.
I started running it right after this question just fine. Worked better than barrage for sure.
Man darf halt bei der schadensberechnung auch nicht die anderen vorteile von glückstreffern beachten. Z.b. hat victimize ja auch einen AOE im gegensatz zu den normalen treffern. Demnach ist eine erhöhte lucky hit chance auch vorteilhaft dafür. ich treffe ja schließlich vielleicht 5 gegner gleichzeitig (bei bossen ja aber irrelevant). Zudem natürlich die ganzen crowd control procs über lucky hit, die den boss ja auch staggern. Sowas ist nur schwer zu berechnen.
das stimmt deshalb hab ich mehr auf den boss kampf bezogen. aber ja im grunde ist es viel komplexer wie du sagst
@@EfficientRogue war trotzdem ne nette rechnung, die mir sicher helfen wird. Leider kommt da noch crit und dex mit in die rechnung. Ich versuche mich an einer version mit viel ausweichen und da ist auch dex nicht unwichtig. Aber wie du selber im video sagst. Zu viel von einem stat reduziert den buff den man davon bekommt. Das gleichgewicht muss da sein. Beim vul dmg haben wir beide auch etwa den gleichen wert. Manche habe ich da schon mit 2000+ gesehen. War schon schwierig 1400 zusammen zu bekommen
Dex ist auf jeden Fall der schwächste Wert für damage aber crit chance ist auch wichtig wegen dem aktuellen double dipping von deadly ambush
I don't think you went too deep into it. Maybe a bit too slow, but it wasn't too hard to follow. I was surprised about your emphasis on vulnerable damage in comparison to vulnerable damage, because of the diminishing return effect when you stack a big amount of the same stat, which is what we do when tempering vulnerable damage everywhere. But I think you made a mistake when it comes to crit-chance, since you can't double-dip from it. But a higher crit-chance should have a good enough effect with increasing the procs of umbrous and siphoning strikes. It also seems like that if you're not using the Elixir of Advantage but the Holy Bolts one, things might change a little bit.
as far as I understood there is some buggy interaction going on with Deadly Ambush Node and Victimize so it can actually "crit" leading into double dipping. but not 100% sure on that
