THESE GUITARS SHOULD BE WAAAAY MORE POPULAR!
Joe Naylor used to produce his guitars in the states, but now he designs them here, has them built to HIS specs in Korea and then shipped back here to be QC'd at Reverend in Detroit.....trust me, these guitars made me put down my Fenders AND Gibsons...VIMirrors, read up on them
These guitars have just recently been on my radar and been trying to see as many demos & obtain as much info as I can. I'm just not sure which model I would want. If you know much on them what model would you choose for my style? I play a cross between Black Crowes, Smashing Pumpkins, Sabbath, Electric Wizard & Jr. Brown. Thank you in advance.
Mirror rorriM I'm looking to learn more as well. I know Billy Corgan has his own model. See if your local guitar shop has one to try out, and if so, try different amps. I tried the Sensei RA on a Blackstar HT Club 40 and was impressed.
I have the Manta Ray and the Bayonet and both play fantastic. I have an old vintage Tele as well which is still my number one but I had a Gibson Les Paul Custom and the Troy Jazzmaster and sold them both when I heard what these guitars were capable of. Definitely make some incredible guitars worth checking out.
I Know! I can't wait to hear how it will sound, since their sound have evolved through every new album. Hopefully they will tour Europe as well.
I've always wanted to see a Reverend guitar in a demo played with a pick.
Great job Jordan!!!!
Great demo cheers!! I love my 290 which is 33% meaner since I banged on the Bigsby!
I imagine this would be a quieter setup for using with my 2203.
Where is the review on the website?
Fair point, but still, even for a well-off person, Mesas aren't exactly cheap. And it'd be good to hear guitars through different amps for comparison purposes anyway, right?
Sweet I'll look it up on ebay, in our rehearsal room I play thru a peavey with an orange cab. That's not my rig but the orange sounds super clean. I haven't heard about blackstar amps will check 'em out aswell. Thx :)
epic riffs man
Wish there was Sensei RA Baritone
What is he playing at around 3:52-4:40 i love the sound of that riff, and would really like to know the song if anyone knows it.
Floods by Pantera.
Your right, true, I just bought a Gibson Sg standard a month ago and my amp of choice would be a Mesa Dual Rect but even a second handed one costs a fortune so I'll have to go for something cheaper, couse I need an amp asap maybe some alltube Randall or Peavey and a Marshall 1960 cab.
thats flood-pantera inspired riff?
How is the song called at 3:52 ?
Sounds like the end of "Floods" by Pantera
5:35 - "Part of Me" by Tool?
Jarl Meemorp 🤟🏽
nice... and my favorite Tool song as well :)
Dude, Mesa amps aren't very forgiving. I got the best results plugging the higher end guitars into the multi-watt Dual Rec that I was test driving. Not the best tone for every style, but the quality of guitars still told on themselves.
My bandmate has a Gibson SG too!
I'd recommend looking on eBay. I got a great (now pretty difficult to find because they're discontinued) Laney Pro-Tube 100 on there for £200 - absolute bargain. Sounds better than most modern amps I've heard. Sounds humongous when you drive the tubes, has a nice clean and the bass boost is mindblowing. Sounds best through Orange cabs.
My bandmate uses Blackstar amps & I'd recommend them as well.
We've had other bands tell us our tone is 'disgustingly good', haha
my thoughts exactly. i wanna hear these pickups minus that fudge
Sounds way better than a Guitar World review would
why the hating on mesa ... I'm basically new in the amp world but i watched videos where i really liked mesa boogie amps
I think Jordan is a bit of a High on Fire fan, he always plays some HoF riffs in his reviews :D
Love the guitar, love the cab, but I really HATE the zero clarity-tone of Mesa amps.
I'll stick to tube amps from Fender, Carvin, Marshall and Vox.
I watch so many I mean a lot of guitar reviews I just like the way they look sound etc. like everyone else- but theres this "thing" out there like 1 guitar is going to replace the rest or this guitar sounds like a Strat & Les Paul and/or etc. you can get jangly , meaty, thick, fat, bumby tones (I made up the bumby one) . Hey versatility is great but if my ears serve me I have seen a Tele play everything from country to metal with the right pedals. Every player I see online wants every guitar they see - even if they could get it all from one rig they'd want 2 of those. Its all good what these guitars do is give a slightly newer unique sound which is very cool.
The Titannica shirt makes up for how weird his fingers move.
U=IDIOT!
i like the mat satin looking finish. Pickups seem sweet. Shape of guitar is nice. I'd expect to pay around $200-400 for that guitar. 1k+ no thanks... So many other better options. Epi Les Paul standard w protop plus hums come in at $600. For hard distorted rock at that price I'm going Used ESP. Orrrr if I don't play live and just record, buy a cheap Dean and get a shit ton of super nice digital Interface modeled guitars/amps for my daw with all the money I saved.
The finish on these are high gloss per Reverends website. The Epi plustop mor a Dean can touch this in quality or performance.
My Reverends shit on every Gibson guitar I’ve touched. If you think that Epiphone of all brands has anything on Reverend, you’re objectively out of your damn mind.
@@Luke-yv6uo My Yamaha Revstar slays Gibson in every way as well.
I'm not being funny, but you could put the worst guitar through a Mesa head and Bogner cab and it'd sound good.
I like the look and spec of this guitar, but I feel as though I'm probably not getting a true representation of what it sounds like. PG should demo through at least three different amp/cab combinations so you're not getting a bias either way.
Is it just me, or did the cleans in the intro sound bad? 7:46 to 8:40 was the only good part of the demo, imo.
What song was that from 7:46-8:40? I dug those riffs the most.
TOOL!!!
But if your buying a guitar for a thousand bucks no one will expect that you will play it thru a 100 dollar amp. Just saying without any bad meanings.
MESA !!!!!
floods!!!
"Corna neck. Corna body."
Agreed...!
heavvyyyyyyyyt
This is a commercial.
TOOL
I do hope you're being sarcastic...
