i would have liked to hear this with those subbass frequencies cut. middied up the whole video and hard to tell exactly how this thing sounds. my monitors were going crazy listening to this (especially when the distortion was on)
Really cool demo! I love mine, and I run the Reverend/Orange combo religiously! The interesting thing I've found with this combo is that the bass contour knob on the Reverend actually really overloads the bass frequencies of the Orange! On any other rig, I roll the bass contour on all the way as the contour is a lot clearer with this, but Orange's get overloaded by it so it enters something akin to Sunn O))) territory! Try it with the bass contour dialed off and this combination is just BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you so much for this heads up. Just out of curiosity what are you using as far as the orange is concerned? Also do you have the guitar down tuned in any way? I love the Reverend/orange combo myself, although right now the only orange I have is a little crush 35 RT. Love that thing,‘ but I’ll eventually add one of the big boys to the arsenal as well. As far as guitars I have a Warhawk DAW and a Descent RA, and I’ve definitely noticed what you’re talking about with the Descent RA.
@@SKY_DWELLER333 Hey dude! So I actually sold this rig a few years ago, but I'm looking at getting an Orange again at some point! My full rig at this point was -Reverend Sensei RA (tuned to Drop B) -Laney TI Booster (this helped with the low end taming, but I was trying to get something where the guitar plugged straight into the orange) -Orange Rockerverb 50 -Orange OB2x12 with V30 celestions. To help with this, I'd look at something like the TI Booster, a Tube Screamer, A klon or an EQ pedal to cut out the low end of the Rev and it should sort you right out and help tame that low end!
Yeah, I think some of that was because of the Orange. Sometimes I’m not sure whether I like Orange because their sound is so dense, but then I find out some of my favorite artists are using them so apparently I like them in certain situations. Also there’s extra mud because for most of the demo he doesn’t pull back the base contour knob. I don’t know, I’m a hard rock, heavy psych, doom and sludge guy, so maybe I do like the Orange sound, but sometimes hearing it on its own is a little much.
That's a beast, I haven't heard many guitars quite like this one.
Someone get a demo out with this guitar in C standard please!
Yes ! This looks exactly what Josh Homme would use

So it gets that huge wall of sound? I'm HEAVILY considering a Rev Sensei.
On point on target, nice work , great work my friend!
..and that's how you demonstrate a hard rock/metal oriented guitar!! at last someone got it right!
Looks awesome
..the perfect guitar for wacky jazz/metal fusion...

Have you invented the riff at minute 5:00, or it is of a band's song? It's very beautiful.

playing metal like a sir!
Is this model still made in satin? I've read that only a gloss model is manufactured now.
remi rondot , yeah only gloss models now , I'm glad I have the satin one 👍👍👍
Boutique company? It's made in Korea
What mic are you using there?
Do not the glasses on this dude fool you plays metal like it should be
0:30 okay,,,,
Can't put my finger on it but I think I would prefer it in Mahogany. It seems to be missing some overtones and sounds a bit lifeless.
+Pulse2AM Korina is a bullshit tonewood.
Good to know! I'm strictly into Mahogany, though I have heard a few Alder guitars I liked the sound of.
Yeah, I call bullshit on Ash too. I've never owned an Ash Tele or Strat that I preferred over an Alder one.
Do you like the sound of the John 5 tele? The Esquire I was thinking of getting. I heard some RUclips demos it sounds pretty good.
+Pulse2AM I like John 5. But I don't like DiMarzio D Activators. I prefer single coils, particularly his Twisted Tele set. Those pickups rule.
Not exactly how you play CFH, but still a great video. Thanks for the Darkest Hour tip..
I play Reverends, mostly American made, and I love the company but this guitar sounds muddy and lifeless to me.
+jeffazi it was probably the Orange doing that LOL

The new headstocks are hideous. They should've stayed with these.
look at this DORKOLA playing Pantera, neat!
Cool guitar, horrible amp.
Sounds that way here, but it isn't. I have one and it sounds great.
The Orange*
