When concerning Greek Mythology, you should just assume the worst always
I mean the same does apply for other mythology as well
literally applies two everyone but Hathor and Hades and even then they get the worst hand half the time
@@him1517 Same for any death god especially
exactly :)
Not with Perseus!
What part of that is not good enough for you Phil?!
In Heracles' second punishment, he actually grew to enjoy sewing to the dismay of the queen, who thought it would humiliate him more.
sewing... predy kool
Hades: Hey, Zeus, Asclepius keeps reviving the dead. That’s my domain. As king of the Gods, can you do something about him?
Zeus, lustfully looking at his next victim: Huh? Oh yeah, sure… [Sets Asclepius on fire] Done!
Hades: I just figured make him dumb, but if it works it works.
*Asclepius screaming in the background as he runs around on fire, dies, and then respawns as the god of medicine*
Hades: I can't have anything nice, can I?
💀💀💀😭

I got 10/15 so not bad
Also I would love if you made another quiz like this!
Okie dokie
Everyone would love another quiz
@@TheMythologyGuy1 maybe about other mythology
I got 14/15
I got 12/15, I'm pretty proud of myself
"There's already a god of sleep, doesn't make sense a god of relaxing"
Hypnos: just watch
But in fact exist a godess of relaxing and its Pasitea, hypnos wife
So, pasta is relaxing?
@@generaljesus9825 haha very funny 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for educating me.
Pasitea is actually a ROMAN goddess, not Greek, and in Roman mythology, there is a goddess of relaxing, and that is Pasitea.
@@mikeor- pasitea is really the ronan name. But she also exists in greek myths. I just dont know how to writhe her name
Please make question about some other most complex myths like Japanese, norse , hindu . Please
I shall
YES YES YES!
Japanese Myths I can absolutely handle cause I binge the hell outta Persona 4 and Izanagi is actually one of my favorite Gods in any mythology
i dont like the idea that greek myths aren't complex wth
@@Ouchiness
I mean, they technically said "some of the other most complex myths"
So either it was a typo and they meant to say _MORE_ or they were trying to say that Greek mythology is complex as well.
Keep up the good work man and I hope for a test in Norse Mythology soon!
Alrighty then
ah yes you are now blessed with the like of M Y T H O L O G Y G U Y
24:47 Actually there were Greek myths thought school. The familly friendly ones, obviously. The two I remember are the story of Theseus and Daedalus, the part where him and his son were flying and his son flew high up into the sky
I was taught some of the not so family friendly ones too, in Latin class. Guess I was lucky
Some parts of the world would benefit from the non-family friendly ones considering the shocking lack of sex-ed. I mean, I've heard several stories of adults who totally would have bought the idea of Hephaestos "seeding" Athena's thigh as a viable means of reproduction 😄
I mean they did tell us about Oedipus in Greece in high school so...
I once heard someone describe Greek mythology in the words “unfortunately, Zeus was horney”.
This guy is comedy gold keep up the great work my man i've been sub to you for some time hope you have a great day and that you do well and mythology puns and basically everything else it's pretty awesome and i'm going to buy your card game 😁
Thank you! I really appreciate the support! Means a lot

Agreed
When the question about who accidentally killed their family, I instantly thought of Theseus because his father committed suicide because Theseus forgot to raise a sail or something.
8:20 Oh gosh that's just cruel telling her the answer 🤣🤣🤣. Love this video
I got 8/15 I’ve always preferred Norse so I was surprised to do so well in Greek
congrats i got 12/15 yet I thought the same thing but i'm more into Egyptian mythology
@@AspenBo Same, I’m more into Egyptian Mythology, and I got a 10/15. I’m proud of myself lol.
I got the first part down though I had to use the process of elimination for the nephew question and narrowed down the Zeus question to Satyr and fish but eventually chose fish. I only got two questions right on the second part by luck of the draw and one of them had no wrong answer.
14/15, the Odysseus question threw me off because I forgot about his time in the trojan war but other then that I knew them all!
Love your content man!! I used to love mythology when I was younger and you have rekindled my love for mythology
Fun fact about the odyssey. He spent 7 years trapped with Calypso and another like 2 with Circe willingly.
This is amazing. I would love to see more, please please keep it up
20:18, editor's note: yeah thanks for that.....
😂😂😂Funniest easter egg kind of a moment there
Please make more of these quizzes, they’re awesome 😊
That 3rd question really caught me off guard cause I only knew about Heracles killing his family
To be fair it wasn't really his fault. Hera is fucking petty
I’ve learned so much about mythology literally everything thing I know about mythology is from you which is saying a lot
I love these videos! Oh my goodness they are amazing!
Hey from Ireland! Just came across this video! Love it! I love mythology! You deserve a lot more attention! Love the channel!
As a lover of mythology, especially Greek mythology, I'm ashamed by how poorly I did.
I feel really dumb about the "who accidentally killed their relative?" one. I couldn't remember Perseus killing anyone and didn't know Theseus' story well enough to be certain. Oedipus I knew killed his father without knowing it was his father, and I knew Heracles killed his entire family. But I thought it was a trick question, because Heracles didn't accidentally kill them, he was driven mad and made to kill them, so I was questioning if that counted as "accidental". Had I remembered Perseus's story better or knew Theseus's better, I would have known for certain.
I also got thrown off by the "which titan is real?" question, because I knew Epimetheus was a god, brother of Prometheus, one being afterthought and one being forethought (always forget which is which) and I believe husband of Pandora. But the "titan of making excuses" part made me wonder if it was a trick question, a real titan by name but with the wrong title. Still guessed it though, remembering some gods and titans had multiple titles.
As for the last one, I actually knew about the god of penises. Didn't know about the other though...
Prometheus is forethought and Epimetheus is afterthought. Epimetheus was married to Pandora.
He's both the titan of afterfought and the titan of making excuses.
In 7th grade, my teacher taught us about Theseus's story so when he left the girl on the island, my teacher expected us to have the same thoughts the gods did. But no, we were celebrating pretty much because we thought it was fair
Can I point out that sterculius was Roman not Greek so priapus was only right since he said it was only greek even though stericulius was correct to an extant
So yeah one of the only original pieces of mythology the the Romans have
wow! thank you I was thinking the same thing. but over all mythology guy did a great job i think most of the comments agree
Aha! I did though Sterculius sounded too latin to be a greek god
Yeah. also boiling down priapus to simply being a god of penises is too single minded, kind of just an issue w trying to group multi faceted deities that changed over centuries into neat boxes
2:25
She nearly said something..
his face in the thumbnail tho
This quiz was set up really good! For anyone not super into mythology pretty much every option from each of these is plausible and that makes for a very entertaining quiz. Great job mythology guy!
I got 10/15 and also you should do more of these
I remember the Daedalus question from primary school as a story.
See kids, this is why you should always stay in school
This video was fun!
thanks mythology guy! ❤️
I wanna have a Mythology quiz with my friends!
My friends: never gonna get it
*me sighing in sad*
This was my favorite video you have done so far. And i am a huge fan.

I got 9/15. You need to make more of these.
I got 12/15. Absolutely loved the quiz as a whole, the structure was very thought out, a nice way to differentiate from the standard online quiz formats
You give out good quizzes my friend as someone that regularly watches your Channel and studies mythology as a hobby I got 12 out a 15
The one thing I know about mythology is even if you were blind and deaf you could not think the gods of Egypt was accurate in anyway
This was an amazing idea I loved the video doing great man god bless you your my favorite RUclipsr like first above anyone have a happy life man be safe be healthy see u soon
That’s a huge honor
Side note for anyone wondering what the weird metal tail thing is behind his head its called a Thunderjaw from a very awesome game called horizon zero dawn which is only available on ps4 and pc
14/15 to my own surprise. Didn't get Alala right; never heard of her and her name just didn't sound very Greek to me. Two or three I honestly had to guess, and just happened to get lucky/managed to deduce.
Also got 14/15 what I think is more interesting is that TMG got some answers not 100% right
One thing I have to say about Greek Myths, when the gods punish others, it is pretty in character with what they are about.
I got 12. I'm so happy with myself right now.
Minotaur: Equal rights, equal bites.
This is a really fun concept, it would be cool to see this quiz again but with Norse mythology questions, if it hasn’t been done already
We aren’t that different. Just I make kahoots, and challenge my school classmates to the quizzes
This is a great video concept! I don’t know if you’ve done this already, but I’d love to see you take an advanced level mythology quiz
I got 9/15 too
All the time I was wondering if there was a god of poop and what do you know THERE IS!!!!
The more you know
@@TheMythologyGuy1 thank you Andrew. Looking forward for such amazing content
10/15 that was actually not bad since I guessed most of the right ones 😅😂
13/15 The “which god is real bit” ruined it for me.😂
The video is 33:33 long.. perfect
Please do more of these!
Next should be norse gods
1:27 "He's big brother" I'm pretty sure that came from the book 1984(1949) by George Orwell
I enjoy this. Did you do it live? If not you should, people could answer live too. Would be fun for all!
Claire: cleaning stables augian stables doesn't sound too bad
Me: slaps head in human eating horse
The stables where normal cattle, the man eating horses where different.
I got 12/15
(Playing trivia game with my dad)
Me: "Hera!"
Game: "10 points!"
My dad: "How do you remember this stuff?"
Also my dad: "Oh, the Atlanta Falcons!"
Game: "10 points!"

Tbh, could've preped some jokes or facts for the multiple choice section to fill in the thinking time.
But definitely interesting.
Also an end card with her channel video on it would've been nice.
Got 14/15.
Awesome
@@TheMythologyGuy1 Thanks.
14/15. The Alala one tripped me up. I knew the answers to all 10 of the multiple choice ones instantly though
2 Incorrects 😇
Lord Rayne knew answers to all of these questions, dear maker of such trivia, i commend thee.
Can you do a vid about kukulkan
Also I don’t know how but I got 12/15
I did a couple called “Art Lore: Feathered Serpent” and “Kukulkan or Quetzalcoatl”
And btw brow im a dude trying to get more knowledge of anything in life and this is apart of it and honestly your doing a great job with these videos of getting it through to the audience because usually these planets try to be all smart and hide from what there saying and doing and go off of what there told but your shorts makes the storys funny but also easier to understand, love the work brother asamalakum brother💙

I see the Dalek and Spyro in the back 👀👀👀
Zeus. Smirks. "Ironic. He could save others from death. But not himself."
1,2,4,5,6 (I was trying so hard to remember your tiktok about it but I guessed right anyway),
3 I said b, 7 I said a (I had zero clue), 8 I said a (zero clue all seem unlikely), 9 I said ant (how could an ant bang somebody), 10 I said b (it seemed kind of likely)
I got the top ones correct and bottom wrong
I'm sure it went down that easy. . .until Hera.
I got 6 wrong
9 right
Ares is the punching bag of the mythology, and that annoys me
“This is probably why they don’t teach Greek Mythology in schools”
I was taught mythology as an elective in 7th grade. Statement Debunked
I got 9/10 and 2/5
I knew Priapus was real because he was in Hestia’s myth about her sacred animal
I’m also shocked you didn’t mention when Zeus turned into a pile of gold to sleep with that woman.
13/15
I figured that celibacy was worse than women's clothing for Greek heroes.
Damn it sororone. Why aren't you real.
29:00 I haven't heard Epimetheus described this way, only as "hindsight."
It hurts knowing that she read Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus and missed all the questions related to the books while me, a 12 year old remembered better
To be fair, she did say that it was quite a while since she last read those books.
Only got number 13 wrong.
if you really are in my house i would like to offer you a chicken nuggie
Accepted
I got the one with the healer dude right bc I remember a yt shorts where you where playing the gods and him saying you can't bring people back to life
I got 13
12:10 in a greek mythology book I read deadalus didnt like his nephew cause he was smarter than his son (and maybe even him) so he pushed him off the fower, then made a wings with feathers and wax and flew off with his son to another country (but his son flew too high and the wax melted and he fell on the rocks under him).
Before I watched this:
Greek Mythology is not stupid! its awesome!
After I watched this:
Yeah, it's pretty stupid, don't know what I thought before (still love it though)
I got the Odysseus question right not because I knew all he had done.
But because I vaguely remembered his dog waiting for him and dying soon after, so I guessed his trip lasted about the average lifespan of a dog...
In 7th grade my Head 180 teacher had all of the Adventures of Ulysses comic books, which was my first introduction to "The Odyssey" in School. I only paused the video on question 2 to try and rack my brain on anything I retained, I ended up saying 10 years because I never considered the Trojan war. The more you know right? Keep the knowledge flowing, Athena!
Love the music at the end :D
Some? He had to clean a small island's worth of stables in a single day... luckily he had enough strength to get a river to bend and wash out the stables
24:44
*has flashbacks of mythology class from back in high school*
"I don't think it's Heracles"
*Heracles* kills whole family
Hahaha, got that Private Pyle look in the thumbnail!
The Heracles one almost caught me, until I realised he had slain the HYDRA, not the Chimera.
