  • I had the privilege of going to The Anthem in Washington D.C with my partner and friends to see MIKU EXPO 2024, honoring the child in me that adored Vocaloid and vocal synth ever since I was a very young kid. In this video, I go over my experience, opinions and address some of the good and bad of the situations people have talked about, whether it be the merchandise situation, Crunchyroll being weird, the setlist, the TV situation etc!
What're your opinions of MIKU EXPO and Vocaloid as a whole?! You can let me know down below!

I wanted to document one of the most fun times I've had in my life and I know it won't be the cup of tea of a lot of people but it felt important for me to talk about and give my thoughts on. Are you familiar with / do you like vocal synth? If so, let me know down below your opinions on MIKU EXPO and all the things surrounding it in recent memory!!!!!!! But for now, cheers, rock on, stay heavy and have yourselves a fantastic rest of your day or night, depending on when you see this!!!!!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

I’m a vocaloid fan, I even have a Hatsune Miku shirt. That seemed like a fun event and if I had the chance to go, I’d absolutely go to that show despite the drawbacks that were there.

I didn't expect at all that you like vocaloid you too, what a pleasant surprise!
Because your channel is about metal, will you talk about Utsu-P or other producers who make metal music with vocaloid?
Anyway I'm going to Miku expo Europe, i hope it will be cool even if we'll have the big led screen too haha

Crunchyroll (or rather Sony) managed to do the impossible by getting fansub purists (the ones dunking on them for years) and the lonely PjSekai fans to unanimously agree that they did everyone dirty with the LCD screen and the redundancy of the VIP pass, not just at MikuExpo but at Coachella too.
I really regret not going to MikuExpo or Magical Mirai sooner when they had the holograms. I just hope Crunchyroll isn't be involved in the next one.
Also shouldn't be shocked with the hologram situation considering Sega (the ones that usually did the hologram animations, usually with models and animations from the Project DIVA games), went on to say that series is dead in the water thanks to "how expensive it is to make". Which in of itself is a bit funny considering that ignores the fact MegaMix+ is a port (of MegaMix for Switch), which is a port (Future Tone and DX for PS4), which is a port (Arcade Future Tone for Arcades), which in of itself is a updated rerelease of an arcade game from 2010, and they haven't put out a game that wasn't a port of the arcade game since 2015 (With X).
Been following Vocaloids, the music people make with it, and the Vocaloid community since like 2014 or so, but things just don't feel the same now. Especially when I've heard that some people's first exposure to it was that one Ashnikko song. Iroha and Wowaka's music still slaps.

So sad you didn’t include a video of me birthing the antichrist (screaming my absolute head off)
