    Thank you I am rebuilding a 99 GSXF 750, got it running but the power is way down so I am thinking after I check plugs and coils its gonna be a carb rebuild. It has sat in its own fuel for more than 5 years so its probably just gunk, that was very useful 8-)

    This is excellent information and well covered. I am trying to fix the same carbs on a 2004 GSX600F, and was given the old jets in a bag, and see the jets the user installed have no markings. Old jets are back in per your video, and on to the floats. Much appreciated. The wind didn’t bother me.

      I also have a 2004 gsx600f trying to figure out the issues with it which brought me to this video, it's cranking but not wanting to start, petcock is fine,changed the spark plugs and still not starting. Could it be a carburetor related issue?

      @@floridaboyhernandez9550 Someone rebuilt the carbs before me, because their bike wasn't running. I suspected they were still not right, so I rebuilt them again. Unfortunately, they didn't set the adjusting screws the way they were before the rebuild and there is no reliable info online for the correct settings. It never would run. It is not my bike. I couldn't help. I would ship my carbs to the person who posted this video.

      We had one carb leaking at the drain screw. I bought new ones, but it did not fix the problem. Sold the bike as is at a significant discount.

    Video was great to follow, but i have had to admit defeat after the 4th time of trying to stop it leaking after the overhaul. Learned a lot though thanks for the tutorial. Let hope the garage does a better job :-D

      I've already repaired the carburetor on the Bandit 1200 three times. I've learned a lot, but the problem keeps repeating itself. The worst engine, I later found out that this is a common problem on the Bandit...

    My katana was running real crappy and thought I needed to rebuild carbs, replaced the throttle position sensor and it made a big difference, no more back firing when I let off the throttle and back to snappy throttle response. wasn't looking forward to rebuilding the carbs.

    For the starter i used a 1/8 socket and i use the plier on it to not use directly on the plastic 😊. Mine was i little bit tight

    Be sure to tighten the mix screw till it bottoms out first count in half turns of the screwdriver till it bottoms out then unscrew it if its your first time doing this and you just unscrew first you wont really know how far to screw it bk in but with this method when you put the screw back in you just bottom out the screw and count backwards to get it in the position it was in before

    Nice video fella gonna take a look at mine as got number 1 cylinder isn’t fueling right gone through new plugs and good spark but getting no heat through header pipe so can only assume it’s carb related doubt be compression as bike has been sat and ram great before

    I rebuilt my carb and got it to idle at 2-3k rpms. I loosened the pilot idle screws just a tad bit and now it wont idle at all. Just shuts off. I tried a couple different adjustments but i just cant seem to get it to idle. Any recommendations?

    • @DarrenMcKinney1
      @DarrenMcKinney1  2 месяца назад

      the first thing I would do if possible is get a Haynes manual or workshop manual for your exact biker and reset all the settings to standard. if you get it running then adjust the idle knob at the side of the carbs to lower the rpm and not the mixture screws. Also remember to balance the carbs too as this could be affecting it
