    I've ran the 85 for 2 years and also owned the Might Atom. The Sonic without the filter performs almost just as good as the 85.Not using the filter also keeps the performance consistent. The Sonic also has bigger container and water drain. Would say you would cut your time in half using the Sonic Atom without the filter compared to the Mighty you are using. The power difference is substantial.

  • @totalpropertysolutionsexte4738
    @totalpropertysolutionsexte4738 Год назад +5

    I’ve used a a skyvac for almost 4 years. The 85 has a lot more suction, I’m frustrated for you. It would help if you flip that nozzle over (so the pointy end is down) and use the gutter bracket to scrape off the leaves when they get clogged up.

    • @jonathanedmonson
      @jonathanedmonson Год назад +1

      What size generator do you run? I've got the Atom and want to upgrade but like the convenience of using the owner's power. But I hate the inconvenience of lack of suction power. It'll get the job done but the price per hour isn't where I want it to be. Especially for employees...

      I live in an area with 50% long needle pines. Gutter vac when they are wet is by far the easiest. If no recent rain, bring a garden hose to wet the roof. When the needles are wet and soft they will bend and go right up the tube. Dry needles are stiff and light, they are miserable to try and corral into a tube. Hope this helps, (I have the interceptor).

Here's the deal, If you land every estimate you are charging too little, if you close 10% of estimates, your price is too high. If you sell to the woman of the house you will have better results.

      @@powerfulimprovements I've been operating drones for almost a decade now and got licensed last year after getting jammed up. I just don't want to see the same happen to you. I got into an argument with somebody on the Internet about one of the videos I posted. In hindsay I was breaking all kinds of regulation that I did not know about. Anyway the troll turned me in I was contacted by the FAA, He was actually a nice guy, he just advised me on getting my UAS certificate which I did.You can't put your controller down like that and just let your drone chill, I know it will stay there and come back home but you can't. I was flying too low over people at a car show. I am licensed if you ever need a hand shooting video. I'm local in Manchester as well if you ever want some advice on getting your 107, it's a 60 question exam you take down at Brainerd airport. There's all kinds of classes you can buy online. I used "The Drone Launch Academy" course.

    • @mechanought3495
      @mechanought3495 Год назад +2

      Yeah I was waiting for this comment to show up. I really didn't want to be the one to break the news. On one hand, it's ridiculous and royal pain in the ass. The drones are stable and this use case is perfect. Sky Vac video poles and others are unwieldy and add extra weight to something that already leaves your arms on fire. Following the regulations and always having your hands on the controls completely eliminates hundreds of use cases for small video drones. On the other hand it's necessary. No technology is perfect and drone autopilot sometimes just decide to fly off or ascend dramatically, or decide a wall is actually open air and fly right into it. A falling drone, even a Mini 3, is pretty damn dangerous, and an uncontrolled drone can fly into the path of manned aircraft like planes and helicopters.
      The FAA regulations are kind of ridiculous, but at the same time I understand why they are as strict as they are. I personally started flying drones as a hobby to photograph and video beautiful locations, and the reaction I got was almost pure hostility. It didn't matter that I was following all regulations, some people think drones are literal Satan. I live in a small town and value my reputation, so sadly my drone doesn't go up anymore. Just way too much drama.
      I'm considering going Part 107 so I can more quickly inspect gutters, but a large portion of my town sits in controlled airspace and would require an ongoing exception which is real pain in the ass to get. Getting the Part 107 license isn't all that difficult, but you'll be expected to comply with all of the associated regulations. However, there a lots and lots of people that completely disregard the regulations and do as they please.
      Just be careful Joe, drones are a can of worms, and in my experience a shockingly large can of worms.
