    Awesome vid.
    Ive had my skyvac for bout 3 years wouldnt change it for the world. Great kit. All you need is the skyvac kit a camera an ladders and your pretty set up really. I also run a small honda generator but not often as mostly use the customers outlets.

    Hi Pete. Don't knw if you did it or not but What we do when we clean the poles and hose out at the end is fill a bucket up with water and suck it up mate
    And it will clean it all out for you.

    Nice one,
    I’m currently thinking of getting a gutter vac as I have a lot of 3 storey high, & two storey but awkward gutter jobs
    I normally do off the ladder,
    Working solo now so thought I better look into it..

    The smaller buildings it would definitely save time to just go up the ladder with a bag and just use your hands. Just makes sense by the time you’ve set up the hoover and generator you could have bagged up at least 1 run. However Iv had to let jobs go simply because my ladders just didn’t reach 3 story or I was too scared tbh to get up that high with nobody to foot the ladder. So atm I got mixed feelings about it. Seems like it would be worth it for the taller buildings. Even still tho iv noticed the hoover can get most of the crapnout howver it doesn’t get absalutely everything where as if your doing it by hand you can make sure everything has been cleaned?

  • @McRaesWindowCleaning
    @McRaesWindowCleaning Год назад +3

    Hey Peter,
    Why didn't you use the poles all the way round? It seems that using the ladder could have been avoided. 🤔😁

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  Год назад

      If guttering is near ground level and could be inspected by the clients quite easily, I like to make sure it's spotless. Using a ladder ensures that. For higher guttering I just use the poles and inspect with the gutter cam to get it as clear as possible.

    Big question, what do you do if a spout is clogged? Is that part of your gutter cleaning services? I'm adding this on (maybe) to my window cleaning business but spouts really stress me out. Could I pressure wash them free if clogged? I ain't getting on a ladder further than 2 stories to fix that so wondering if a three story job called you and you could reach the gutters with the vac but the spout was clogged, would you get on a ladder? What would you do?

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  Год назад +1

      I only use ladders up to 2 stories. After that it's all vacuum powered cleaning

    Hey trad man I just watched your video for the boab from Moerman vs the samurai.. I started using the Moerman liquidator because of you and I love it I’m coming from the ninja channels which leave much detail work, but now im really searching for the best boab for the liquidator channels with fliq pads and handels I was thinking for the drywalker or the new xero crackle but this one is very expensive which would you recommend for my setup if you could make a video that would be great
    Tbh the ninja boab is not that bad for the liquidator channels I find but I don’t like the swivel of the boab

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  Год назад

      I personally use the Samurai boab. It's a smaller profile than the bulky drywalker and has different inserts for different setups. Really you have to try a couple of things and see what's best for your work style and comfort. I've tried every boab on the market and for me I like the samurai but nothing is perfect. Everything has something that could be improved 😉

    Great vid TM! I’ve not long bought mine I’ve always used a bigger machine from GVS! The atom is a nifty yet pricey gadget. Dealing with heavy moss and soggy leaf laden gutters at height the release cuff is going to be a necessity! Also keep an eye on the filter condition more so with the atom due to loss of power as the bucket fills up quick! Otherwise it’s a great tool that fits nicely into a packed van. Stay glassy everyone!

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  Год назад +1

      Cheers buddy! Great advice 👍🏻
      Gonna get that atom sonic next as its a good balance of power and still compact for my very full van lol

    Hi mate how do you find the gen works i have a 1400w gutter vac but have been advised by electricians that because they are motor vac they will draw 3 times the power on start up so 1400w will be 4200w

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  Год назад

      Works perfectly fine bud. Never heard that about the power draw issue before 🤔
      I always let the geni run for about 30 secs to a minute before I plug in the extension cord and fire up the vac. The genie has an overload light on it which will light up if any issues, and it never has. I'm getting a 2800w machine next, around april time and I'll do a video on using it with the geni

    Good to see you fully unwound the extension lead - lots don't realise a coiled up extension can cause a fire! The little gutter vac did you proud there. Was there a reason you went for a heavy geny as it's not big enough for a new bigger 3Kw gutter vac and a smaller 'suitcase' style one would be half the weight and similar costs?
    Great to see your first gutter vac job - you did a great job.

    • @TradMan
      @TradMan  Год назад +1

      Thanks buddy 😁
      I won't be getting the big industrial vac machine, too big and bulky for regular residential jobs with narrow passages to get down etc. If i did mainly commercial gutters i would get the triple motor vacs but i mainly do residential work most of the time. Got my eye on the atom sonic as its a twin motor, will work with the genie and is still a compact machine.
