Joe.. I have the interceptor. It’s worth every penny to stay safe and handle 100% of gutter jobs. Can’t put a price in safety. Who cares if it takes 20 extra minutes. Those house that have drop offs in the back are no problem. Yes 3-4story extensions are a bit to leverage but no way my 28 or 32 would reach. Nor would I want it. You’re successful.. stop messing around and just get it

I have the Craftsman gutter cleaner attachment which is basically this thing you built. It does not do well with vac or blow with pine straw and I'm using a fairly strong 12gal shop vac. This past week I got an Ego 650cfm blower and yesterday go the gutter cleaning kit. 100% difference in performance and it took me 30 minutes to blow out as much gutter as you have here. I still had enough power to clean up the yard. Go electric and you wont have to be sucking in those fumes. You can get a backpack adapter for their tools with a 7ah (and I think a 10 or 12ah is avail) to keep the device light if you need it.

Looks great. Backpack is the way to go. Try getting a larger diameter hose as that will increase volume of air going through the system. I have a similar set up. Blowing is much faster than Vac.

Just curious how you are liking this setup or what setup you think works best? I do tree work mainly but I had an apartment complex ask me to do gutter cleaning on 31 buildings all are 3 stories. I want to be able to figure out what works best if I get this job then I will likle get their other 25 locations. That's a lot of roofs to climb on so if I can do it from the ground that would be a huge plus. Thanks for any info and stay safe out there.

How instead of your super expensive carbon fiber tubing if you would have used 2” schedule 20 PVC central vacuum tubing instead? It’s rigid and lightweight. your vacuum nozzle end should have had a few notches in it so it would not suck tight against the gutter bottom. Instead of that expensive metal bend, a couple of PVC 90s glued together might work too? 2nd story work always is a bit wobbly.

You need to put some felt on that metal head, if you’re scraping the finish off gutters the clients are going to have a rust issue down the road. I’d also recommend attaching a camera to the end.
