  • Making the investment and decision to buy a gutter cleaning system is not easy, your taking thousands of dollars not hundreds, so you need to do your research. That’s why we decided to make a video comparing two leaders in the gutter cleaning vacuum systems market, gutter pro vac, and skyvac. We speak honestly about our thoughts after using the equipment for a few years… there are pros and cons for both systems.
    I got together with a friendly competitor who has owned a Skyvac System for 5 years and my self. I have used the Gutter Pro Vac gutter cleaning vacuum systems for a similar time.
    We shared our thoughts and did an apples-to-apples backyard test using pro testing equipment to measure the strength of each vacuum. and gave our honest opinions of the two machines.
    We also reviewed the aluminum and carbon poles by gutter pro vac, as they are what we both use.

    Thanks guys for uploading this! I am planning to start a gutter cleaning company and this video helps me a lot to decide which one to get to start with. I would like to ask if there is also a twist release in gutter pro vac poles like the skyvac. TIA!

    • @crudbgone1641
      @crudbgone1641  2 года назад

      Unfortunately gutter pro vac does not have a twist release pole at this time.

    • @crudbgone1641
      @crudbgone1641  2 года назад

      But you are able to achieve the same solution by taking the hose off the bottom of the poles and releasing suction in the poles, that's what we do.

    As soon as you said "I don't want my family on the roof and working safe and who cares if I pay a guy $15hr who cares about his safety basically. You should not be in business with employees that are not family and I would never hire you and I hope most don't with a stupid ass comment like that. You should be ashamed of yourself!!!!

    I use the SkyVac Interceptor. It's gas powered. My filter gets wet all the time and it keeps trucking. I was worried about the electric type for this reason, plus no power cords. Cost $2k more, well worth it.

    • @crudbgone1641
      @crudbgone1641  2 года назад

      I have heard the Interceptor is a good machine, but costly and heavy.

    • @firstname6208
      @firstname6208 Год назад

      A couple issues with the interceptor. Wheels too narrow and swivel wheels on the wrong end. You end up pulling the cart across soft ground which isn't always ideal. When you push on the handle the tiny swivel wheels dig into soft ground. Physics says put the swivel wheels under the handle that way you actually push on the bigger wheels. Push force is towards the front axel which is forwards AND DOWN. Love the power it has. Love the carbon poles. Haven't used the camera that much, but it could be handy to show customers how nasty their gutters are.

    I had a gutter cleaning business back in the 80's. I bought a heavy duty shop vac with a large cannister. Working from the ground is ineffective as you cannot see what your are doing. As far as working off of a ladder,or walking the roof, it is extremely time consuming. The best way to clean gutters as a commercial business is to hand clean with a pair of heavy duty rubber gloves, a 5 gallon bucket, a backpack blower, and if necessary to clean up, a garden hose. I also had a power washer for houses with gutter screens.

    I was wondering if you guys have an opinion on using the new cyclone 3600 made by the same guys as the gutter vac pro. They seemed to have made some upgrades, but they switched to the HEPA filter. You said when the skyvac filter got wet it didn't run well. Seems to me the same problem would exist with the cyclone 3600. People suggested keeping dry filters on hand, but it would seem to me that the dry filter would probably end up wet again on the next section of gutter. Also any opinions on the carbon fiber poles from each company in terms of the flex? I saw one review say the skyvac poles flexed very little at 40 feet. I don't know if those were the elite poles or not?

    • @crudbgone1641
      @crudbgone1641  Год назад +1

      Yes the new cyclone has a HEPA filter and as soon as we get into wet material we remove the HEPA filter and run with the "wet" blue sponge filter.

      If you chose between the new cycle 3600 and the maching in this video gutter vac in your opinion which is better. For single person work.
