    Fantastic but you can also blow from some of your upstairs windows too!! Smarter/Harder. Love the invention thank you.

      Yep, but that requires going inside, taking off my boots, going upstairs, contorting my arm to get the right angle only to find out the window doesn't open far enough just to go back down stairs, put on my boots and do it this way. Haha

    Great Vid, I especially like your taped gloved hand, I don't feel so bad about my same remedy, oh...you can use another piece pf gutter pipe to lessen the weight

    Big flaw with this system, and many like it, is that blower is at the bottom. Its does not have the head to blow higher than a few feet before you loose power. This one works OK because you have a very short run of pipe - maybe only double what the blower came with. The solution is usually to get a more powerful blower. if you read reviews of systems like yours - they all suck. You need to move the system up to the top. I have a cordless blower 230 CFM that's about 7lbs with battery. I've made a similar rig to yours on the top of the blower with some drain (very light) PVC and flexible rubber boot. Key difference is that this gets attached on top of my snow rake pole (snow rake removed). Now the blower, and a very short adapter, are all up top near the gutter. If you reduce your pipe size a little and also make a deeper bend, you can hang the rig right on the gutter as a guide while you go along. Its not hard to lift or control at all and you get much more power and can go way higher. Mine can reach about 18' up. Also, heat up the exit end of the pipe with a torch and use pliers to squish it a little, this will improve velocity and spread. You're losing a lot with a big circular hole. Here is mine: ruclips.net/user/shortsa9NzCvxP6vo?si=Hef308M7KbUZyqMu

      Thankfully I don't need anything that complicated! HA!! I do have a few spots that are pretty high though.
      The short run is even enough for the thing to be unwieldy at full arm stretch

    Eric How do you like the gutter guards you installed? I am looking for comments on how good are they .

    • @GearheadDaily
      @GearheadDaily  2 месяца назад

      They are decent, not great for pine needles, but what is? Definitely better than what was on their before.

    Even better, I have an extension like that for my pressure washer. Do the math and visualize how well THAT works with a gutter full of tree poo. My wife found it endlessly amusing however. ;-)

    • @SCARSORGofficial

      @@GearheadDaily Yes it does. It is extremely effective at taking the contents of the gutter and sending them right down on you to sample.

    So do you still keep the leaf guard screen in place? I am tempted to get rid of mine, because like you said, it doesn’t keep out the pine straw!Grrrr

    • @GearheadDaily

      Yes, its good for keeping most stuff out and overall net positive.

    Have you thought of using 2 inch pipe with a 4 inch to a 2 inch reducer? Has anyone tried it?

    • @GearheadDaily
      @GearheadDaily  6 месяцев назад

      You get less cfm that way. That's why dust collectors want bigger pipes
