Thanks for making the video. You clearly show you made the cuts etc and put the whole thing together. Have a good one!

Install a 4” to 2” reducer past the tip of the blower, install 90 elbow and 45 elbow facing away from you. This makes it lighter, gives you more wind velocity, and blows the material away from you.

That's a fantastic suggestion! Using a reducer and strategic elbow placement can really optimize the performance of the blower. It's a clever modification that can make a significant difference in efficiency and ease of use. Thanks for sharing this valuable tip! 🍃🛠️👍

Thanks for making the video. I have really tall gutters that would require a 30 plus foot ladder. For the lower sections like in the video, I use a shop vac attachment with a hook, the pvc doesn't way much and has different sections for height. Then just dump all the wet leaves into an area away from the house.

You're very welcome! That's a smart approach, using a shop vac attachment with a hook and PVC sections for the lower sections. It's a great way to safely and efficiently handle tall gutters. Thanks for sharing your handy technique - it's sure to be helpful for others dealing with similar situations! 🍂🔧👍

Worked out nice . I'm going to do same thing using 4 inch aluminum gutter downspouts to try and reduce the weight. My gutters are two stories high

I tried alumin gutter downspouts and the split open length wise do to torque and twisting. This guy used vac cleaner piping, also see his 3 year update. ruclips.net/video/-cRUheSAXM4/видео.html

Too much work ie the weight to lift it up; good video and demonstration , always appreciate project videos like this.

is there a maximum length this will work with? I bought a 20 foot 2" pvc pipe and it doesn't blow out

Good question - I know that my Stihl dealer cautioned me against getting a diameter of pipe that was to small because the nozzle on the leaf blower is engineered or designed in way to create the right amount of airflow at the tip and now when you try to extend that tip it may not function correctly. I wonder, if in your case, a larger diameter would have different results.

Part of my company is gutter cleaning, so I gutter cleaning in volume if you accidentally hit a overhead power line would you get electrocuted?

Would this work with a popular pro?

      Poulan pro

Thanks for watching and the comment @Nathan Buffington! I believe it should work for a Poulan Pro - I know some say that you have to be careful with some units about restricting the air flow for a long period of time but we typically only run the unit a few minutes at a time when cleaning the gutters and it seems to still allow plenty of air flow through the extension.

Don't you have strainers in the down spouts so no leaves or twigs plug it up? My strainers prevent a lot of that. That's a beautiful home that I wouldn't want to blow under damp or wet conditions. That dirty silt gets blown everywhere. I just got through doing the leaf blower method and will go back to vacuum instead but in a revised thought out method. Much cleaner and efficient to vacuum. It can be done in a safe manner too. Ladder stabilizers and a 2nd person would be the way to go. I try and do it myself too and each time it's either a risk or a mess. The first time I vacuumed it was way more clean. Just need to make it more safe and it's a go.

Check your owners manual. Some advise against this for creating too much back pressure. The diameter you chose looks safe in that regard.

Thank you for your comment! We appreciate your concern regarding back pressure. After speaking with a Sithl representative, we've taken various factors into consideration, including diameter specifications, to ensure safe and optimal performance. Boy that looks heavy

Thanks for watching and the comment @James Foland! The main section of sewer pipe weighs about 6 pounds but the fittings at the end add another 3lbs. Overall the force of the blower is what makes it a little awkward to handle at times.
