Also, for everyone curious about the Skoda Kushaq's ground clearance: The 155mm figure is official laden ground clearance (that is with a load of passengers). The unladen ground clearance (without any weight of passengers or luggage, and most commonly used by carmakers) for the Kushaq is 188mm. Hope this clears your doubts!
Thanks ❤️
Ok
How can they precisely say it's 155mm?. Using unladen clearance is better. Healthy passengers can drop this figure even lower or is there any industry standard passenger weights they apply?
I'm very glad I was a part of developing this beauty!
Lets hope they don't overprice this one.
Personally i don't think digital MID and dials are something necessary, but ventilated seats are a must have feature in our climatic conditions.
Most cars in this segment provide wireless mobile charging, but won't give a dashcam or even a USB port near the rearview mirror to make dashcam installation easy. Car reviewers rarely talk about dashcam either.
I really feel sorry with the overwhelming taxes on automobiles which are becoming curse to Indian customers to settle with basic cars with tiny engines yet expensive at bank.
Contrary to the expectations, the analogue dials look very classy in this car!
Nah they lol cheap
Yes agree 💯, 1 liter petrol engine is really agressive. Specially when the turbo opens up, the power is unmatched. 🔥
The cabin is surprisingly quiet, i hardly noticed any road and engine noise. Which is an absolutely amazing thing to have which no one talks about.
This car is ‘Atom’ frm the movie Real Steel.. Not completely tech loaded as the Koreans but segment best quality, safety nd a really capable engine. I wuld prefer this over the creta. Its a tough call given the feature monster that is the Creta, but fr the premium feel nd the engine…. I wuld give this a shot.
I do know Sanskrit and I am a Skoda fanboy so when the revealed the name kushaq my happiness was through the roof
I prefer the analogue instrument cluster over the digital one
Interiors look stylish and reviews confirm that it rides well. Skoda has got winner on its hand if priced competitively!
In terms of the base/active model I can't think of any other good looking, safest, best engine, decent fuel economy and featuristic car. With around 12 to 12.5L 😎👍(on-road pricing) I personally think Skoda Kushaq has nailed it. It offers all important features which its competitors or rivals don't. It also gives you electronic adj door mirrors, Pretty good quality 6 speakers and rear AC 😲 . I can't consider Kia Seltos or Creta because they almost cost the same but aren't safe enough as Skoda Kushaq. I also considered Kia Sonet HTX 1.0 L Turbo AT and 1.5 Diesel MT which offers plenty of features. I was almost convinced but the leg room is something I couldn't get over with. There were tons of features which I'd hardly use (except wireless Android & Apple carplay). But the overall quality was a downer. Ride quality is not as good as Kushaq's. I'm fine with wired Android auto and Apple carplay 😎👍. After driving a Skoda Kushaq I had no second thought to book one. Also you can completely make a base variant of Kushaq to look like a top end, isn't that insanely good of Skoda? I'm so skeptical when it comes to buying a car so I pay attention to detail and quality. Hope my opinion helps someone who's in a dilemma with KIA Sonet, Seltos, Creta and what not. Skoda Kushaq won't let you down. 😉👍
Wait is that instrument cluster from 90's ..feeling nostalgic.
If I had to choose among hyundai(or KIA) or Skoda. I would pick the skoda. Handling and drivability is important to me than features. And it does look cooler.
I like the bloopers which is put on the last of the video for couple of seconds and it shows how much dedicated the team is in making this videos
Looks good pricing is the key point since no diesel for offer..
Tomorrow I am buying kushaq I am happy. my father told let's buy skoda rapid then I told don't need rapid let's buy kushaq only.
I love analog dials , infact that may be one of the reason why I would consider kushaq
Only skodas and VW can pull of an orange color! Looks so great, loved the tiguan allspace in orange as well ❤️
Poor crash test results of the Koreans will certainly benefit this car's appeal.
Never been this early to any video. Love the looks of the Kushaq. Wish Skoda improves there service network.
Finally a car which doesn't have a screen right in your face and is below the dashboard belt line. But driver electric seat adjustment is a big miss.
The Skoda/VW 7 Speed DSG DQ200 really needs to go! Very snappy and jerky on low speeds and bad roads.
Very good looking at the price point.
Why Autocar never speaks about the audio quality of the car..
Because audio is something you have to experience on your own. The audio that you will listen depends on your TV or smartphone speakers. Also nowadays all good cars have extremely good audio systems. Nexon/Harrier have Harmon, Kia gives Bose, Renault has arkamys, Nissan Magnite has JBL.
The only audio quality that matters for a car is the engine sound
No one talks about the mileage of 1.0... petrol prices are touching INR100/ltr and that will be a crucial factor for common man planning to buy this. Also with 1.0 TSI being the preferred pick over 1.5 TSI with cylinder deactivation technology will be a factor favouring aam janta. Hope the pricing is competitive enough to keep overall ownership cost (Purchase price + Fuel + Maintenance + Insurance) a favorable factor.
I believe It is good decision to have analogue dials in the car.
As dials will not look dated after 10 years or so, the screen technology is changing after every 6months I believe cars only after 3 years will have higher resolution, smooth and higher better graphics displays, which can make current cars with screens look dated.
Naah
Analog Indicators has its own charm
Let's hope it's priced between 10-15 lakh and it will sell like hot cakes.
7.99 Lakh for Base and 14.99 Lakh for Top. That's it. It will completely destroy the competition.
Actually analogue dials and a slick shifting manual are the things that enthusiastic drivers love.
Skoda has a reputation of producing well engineered cars, I hope this lives upto the name.
I like the analog instrument cluster. Analog dials are very easy and simple to reada and they feel very sporty and rugged as well.
Loved the review as always.. satisfying on info ..secondly appreciate the bloopers 👍
Apart from the car being really good, I just love the way autocar india editing department has improved over time.... i mean the videos are really really good and your editing experience just gets better and better. Kudos for making every video much more entertaining to watch!
Awesome car. Probably will be replacing my Brezza
The car is overall good but I'm a bit concerned about the ground clearance...is 155mm enough?
Really like how the video was done vs your previous ones.
Always a thumbs up for Renuka review 👍
Would like to know the 1.0 TSI performance with 5 passengers on a gradient. Just to know if it's good for hilly regions.
15 lakh kushaq has ventilated seats and sunroof but 33 lakh octavia doesn't have them. #simply clever😁
Kushaq beats sonet, kiger, venue, magnite, ecosport, nexon, etc., please pardon if I forgot any other car rival to this
Bloopers were an awesome touch !! 😂
I somehow always prefer the dials on the cockpit a mixture of analog and digital . Brilliantly reviewed as always. Thank you
Ground clearance 155mm only ? 🤔
I am just in love with your review as much as you are in love with the car itself! 😍💛🧡
it is quality loaded rather than feature loaded shits available in market.........thank you vw group for bringing such quality cars to indian market.
Thank you, Autocar India Team for the wonderful video and review. Eagerly waiting for this review.
Skoda, please price KUSHAQ competitively. Really love and appreciate SKODA Engines, build quality and would like to own one.
9 to 16 would be perfect ex. Showroom price if they want to be aggresive if just competitive It wont sell
Test drove the 1.0 tsi manual.. what a lovely engine and gearbox combination.. just sexy ..
Great review....when can we see 1.0 torque converter auto review...that option seems very promising
Lacks a lot of features. Let's hope it undercuts Seltos/creta or else it will be hard to sell as Indians are more inclined towards features than safety.
I'm now having personal bias towards this car. It is definitely a real king. And this is the best Autocar review ever. Top quality 🙌
Companies should start providing dashcams with cars, both front and back
autocar india really bringing some great content...u guys really deserve appreciation 💥💥💥🙌👌👌
Supercharge and turbocharge can expand the power band of even a small displacement size engine.
That thunk sound would made up for those not so good plastic and other misses because competitors misses that thunk.
Would love the option to choose engine, gearbox combo. Want to have 1.5 tsi with a torque converter.
I sometimes wonder every Mid size is praised so much. But all these features were available on the Nissan Kicks from 2019. Their current petrol engine in Kicks is the most powerful in its segment. Yet, the media outlets don't focus on it much because Nissan isn't as popular as Hyundai and other manufacturers in India and hence videos on Kicks won't get them views and money. Eitherways, Kushaq seems to be a good SUV. Great video Renuka mam as always.
For the most part this has all the bells and whistles one needs and is sensibly built. Though the finish on seats look little low rent and that outdated instrument cluster could definitely have found a middle ground with bigger color MID. AT the end it all boils down to what Skoda prices it at, and between 9.5-15.5 lakhs we might have a winner at our hands
Finally autocar वाले हिन्दी का महत्व समझ गए हैं स्वागत है आपका हिन्दी चैनल पर
There are plenty of newer folks doing reviews every day.
But your review is no nonsense Bang on review simply the best.
Cheers keep rocking
Analog dials look cool in this digital age of screens all around. Thank you, Skoda.
I don't why people are starting to prefer digital dials these days when analogue dials actually feel and look more premium compared to digital ones...
Madam you are the best auto editor of our country...I always wait for your video..
Great review, feels like just my kind of car.
Would be great if you can review the Ambition 1.0 TSI Auto. It has paddles, 10" touchscreen so complete value for money.
Curious to know if the automatic handles as good as the 1.0 Manual.
How would you compare performance of Skoda,s 1.5 engine vs Honda city
I have been enjoying the blooper which Autocar India has started putting at the end of all sections. It helps to know the humane side of the team :)
Haha 😂😂 i love the behind the scenes more..great video and a bunch of efforts..loved this video soo much jst because of behind the scenes 😂😂👏👏
Any difference in features list in 1.0 style and 1.5 style??
Nice touch adding bloopers to the end and introducing a Hindi version. Cool strategy! All the best 👍
I don't think many would prefer this if it's price is similar to seltos considering the Kushaq has a slightly underwhelming interior than seltos
Mam, one question. How much difference is okay between month we get from CIN number and CP8 date? I got allocated a car that has chasis number for April but CP8 date of October. Buying this in December so wondering why Chasis number is for April.
1.0 TSi is a gem of an engine and is going to stay here for a while , if you are looking for driving dynamics , you can’t go wrong with the King 🤴
What a background music! Awesome!
When will the monti carlo virent of skoda kushaq come?????? I'm looking forward to .
I guess most people prefer analog speed dial over the digital one, it looks better. But the one here on Kushaq looks like the one we used to see on cheap entry level, badly styled one's from early 2000's.
Finally a Great Quality Drive and Tank Built in India🔥💯
Thanks for the bloopers 😀
how is the suspension - wrt Indian bumpy roads / speed breakers and wrt competition?
SKODA is going to be more powerful than VOLKSWAGEN......
Analog dials look better than the digital one's. Change my mind.
Sunroof is available for all the variants? Or only in the top variant?
The background score was just apt and its dope😎
Indians ko ye sochna hey ki 🧐
Jyada over features chahiye ya fir
Jarurat ke features aur best ride and handling and solid build quality
Thanks to RENUKA and team. Future if you can share the price it will help
It will look menacing and stunning in black with those sharp lines with muscular body
Mam, what about front seat height adjustment on lower versions??
It must jump on Rivals with quality nd premium ness...As you mentioned the price point..with European badging 👍👍
looks amazing, especially the white one
From the beginning itself I was waiting for the 1.0L pricing. Creta petrol SX variant is the most vfm model I feel. If it undercuts it then bang it's a success already.
How about build quality? I do not see that in any impressions video.
Kushaq is my next car. DSG combined with the best of suv and car
Are seats ventilated from the base version?
Looks awesome 👍 , price would be deciding factor for its mass success .. since no diesel motor to offer . Again missing certain bells and whistles for our market like digital display , panoramic sunroof , sporty interior etc or may be kept in basket for midlife upgrade ?? .. happy selling Škoda .
She's my favourite auto reviewer. Really knows cars better than anyone I know.
Aewsome that u added Bloopers 👍🤗😂
Is the on/off cylinders feature present on 1 litre variant too?
I hope VW Group will make the Taigun even more fun to drive while keeping this one mainstream. That will give VW the market share it always deserved.
I like the analog dials compared to digital - the upside is less to spend on repairs if things go wrong as compared to digital versions.
Very well described car review once again
What's the fuss about digital dials? The analog ones are lovely and functional.
