Flo mounier still badass drummer after 26 Years with Cryptopsy
By putting a number to it, you're making me feel old. :-D I remember when Flo was introduced to the band through a friend of the at-the-time bass player (my close friend). At the time, he was a slightly awkward skinny teenager, but he was already a beast on the drums. Their previous drummer wanted to go in a different musical direction, IIRC, so Flo ended up joining the band. He had a profound impact on their sound.
And he's gotten better!
Pete may have shat on Flo over the years but if they battled today, Pete wouldn't stand up to Flo in my opinion. Pete isn't able to play as crazy now as he used to whereas Flo is as brutal as ever.
With all due respect, but are you nuts? Flo easily crushes extremely boring 'meat and potatoes' drummers like Sandoval, because he has both profound technical skills (including a vastly more versed vocabulary) AND brutal punchy sound. People who claim that Sandoval is a bettter musician that Flo sound like people who would claim that fucking Lars Ulrich is the best (or one of the best, which is an equally hilarious statement) metal drummer of all time.
Sandoval was far more than 'meat and potatoes'. You are somewhat hilarious yourself.

That man is a pioneering pillar for extreme metal and considered to be one of the most influential musicians in the scene ,
The track is absolutely killer and every member of the band is monstrously talented that deserves praising for such music
Goes without saying but I give so much praise to the rest of the members. This new lineup to me, is the absolute best. They have taken every element of the best of Cryptopsy and made it even better. This is like Whisper Supremacy era on steroids. Ive always considered John Levasseur the best Cryptopsy guitarist but Chris gets so many props for this recent stuff.

I had a hard time to get used to Matt's vocals, but my dear, he's an absolute beast.
I got used in the first song I heard with him. I got stunned when they came to Madrid last year, and Matt started testing the mic growling as it were in the half of a song. So so so brutal.
