I was 13 years old when I first heard Cryptopsy. Thank fucking goodness it was None So Vile. I have since become a drummer. Either partially through this influence, or Despised Icon's notorious Alex Grind. Thank fuck for tech death.
At 3:35,Flo mounier is starting to use heel toe technique. He normally use flat foot technique back then on faster double bass. He’s changing up the game.
It's like you're arguing the fact while just repeating what i said. A playthrough is basically someone performing the song live to a studio track. Yea this isn't live audio and doesn't even convey being played live visually, so what is this?
I fail to see the relevance, but if you tried even just a little im sure you could find something of mine to criticize. Look, Flo is a badass, I just don't feel this syncs up well, it has too many cuts to actually watch his playing, and doesn't seem to have live audio. I've come to expect these things from a "playthrough". Would you enjoy watching a guitarist in this context? Lol
yeah this is just an unmastered vocal-less instrumental for the track. which is really cool the mastered track is hard to hear the guitar lines and stuff and they really shine through
Our band opened for these guys in Guelph @ the Trashateria in 2001 . We played double time through our ~40 minute set in just 18 minutes just to get off the stage so we could enjoy maximum Flo time . Where I'm so impressed is that years later he's still just as good !
My friend’s band in Montreal had a jam space in the same building as Cryptopsy on the same floor and you could walk by pretty much any time of day or night and hear the sound of outrageously fast drums coming through the door...
Glad this is instrumental, can hear guitar lines better and that gives me even more respect for the riffing and how things line up. That. However I do like live drum audio. Yeah yeah we know every YT playthrough vid is this way now, but it still annoys me. That said, if I wanna hear live Flo, I'll go to a concert or pull up live vids which there are plenty.

It's disappointing that we can't hear the audio from the playthrough performance, instead of hearing the album audio dubbed over the video.
