I was just thinking this would probably be a good way ti start learning, because you’d learn the breath control you’d need and how to correctly blow into the instrument without also having to remember the fingerings and stuff!

i always use to do this when i started band in 6th grade and i learned that those two u pressed made it go higher and the par u put ur pinkie on makes it go higher

Oh my gosh I do that all the time in class and this one time my teacher looked at me IN THE EYE while doing it and immediately started making everyone play when he knew good and well i obviously wasn’t ready but like it wasn’t my fault because we weren’t playing before 💀💀💀

I played the Yamaha 312 and was super happy with it. I feel kinda insecure now and am not so sure which one is the best for me😔... BUT I think I want to have a Yamaha flute as my next one too. Maybe one of the 500 or 600 series ☺️. Maybe you could give me some advice?❤️ I am playing a very nice song right now for Jugend Musiziert (a competition), it is called Scherzo by Milko Kolarov... My Bulgarian teacher gave it to me ☺️

You can also play the fifth (but not quite, it's a bit flat) by pressing down the e-flat key.

You can also play the foot joint an octave higher… just tighten your embochure.

You can also use it as a shakuhachi by removing the head and blowing across the top of the body. Or, slightly easier as a brass instrument.
