Then again, if the goal is "technicality, tone, and articulation", a loudspeaker will do a fabulous job as well. Simon Cowell just does n't like classical music. So it's not a surprise that he does nt like the flute, which is used for that a lot. He does n't like ballet either. Or opera's. Someone should make a video of all positive things he ever said as a jugde. I bet it's a short video 😄
The fact that Simon is insulting some of the most beautiful instruments in the world is unfortunate. As stated in the video he said, "But does anyone like listening to the flute?". This hurts me because the violin (my main instrument) and flute go hand in hand. The flute is featured in some of the most extravagant pieces known as The Moldau. The flute shows incredible power and tone in this piece and really brings the piece to life. Without such an exquisite instrument like this, music would be much more boring. I also want to acknowledge the fact that the recorder is a WONDERFUL instrument. I played the recorder in elementary and never hated it a single bit. It may sound bad at first but once you get the hang of it, it will sound amazing! I played the recorder in school from 4th grade to 6th grade. Dear Jasmine, I like to watch your videos. I started to play recorder since my fifth grade, and eleven years ago I learned flute. I just have One month classes. I learned to play almost by my self. I often listen depreciative comments while I was playing the recorder. Sometimes I felt sorrow, but I didn't allow myself to get discouraged and untill now I play both. I like the recorder for it's easy to play at the level I play. Concerning the flute I love the sound of it. I have my Chanel in which I upload Christian hymns and Worship songs. I follow like othe Koream Flutists as Yeojin Han and Yubeen Kim, I don't know if you know them. Greetings from Portugal, I like your channel you are virtuoso Flutist and look a nice person.
I enjoyed the clips with people showing off real skills! 🥰 The fragments from the American edition... Hmm... If Those-Two-Guys could at least play their instruments well, one could assume they were just desperate to get some extra attention to jump-start their careers... But it wasn't even that... 🤦♀
When I remember right, in these talent shows, often they yawn and act like its boring, when classical music is played. They impact the impression of the viewers that classic is boring and that's not fair.
Whenever I play the flute most of the reactions are like that, except for one time when they really liked it at the top of a high mountain and everyone clapped, but mostly people´s reaction is depressing. I don't know if it is because people don´t like the flute as compared to other instruments or because I am not so good at it yet.
It's a shame how these talent shows are conducted. Once anyone gets enough of the flashy meta of these talent shows, I really hope they can start listening to the music rather than watching it and see (or hear) so much more.
Well, the crutch is just that. A crutch. Like the yawning leading up to the "reveal". But where do you go with an act like that? The novelty will wear off faster than you can say "flute". (Let's just ignore how heavily skripted that scene was - somehow AGT is okay with making their audience look uncultured and only entertained by flashy show elements). Love the video!
I played the flute when I was young. It's an acquired taste and a skill only appreciated by the special elite. Don't bring it down to the level of America's got talent. James Galway was probably the last person who could represent the skill to the public in a tasteful way. Jasmine could probably bring it out to the public without any gimmicks. The choice of song is important like Annie's song.
Piano actually can't have 88 notes at the same time. As music. Only if we lay down on the piano it would but it wouldn't be music :) 10 is a maximum for 1 person playing piano... I think. I didn't really counted but we only have 10 fingers, no?
A very different video today. 2x👍 I try to avoid talent shows, and still will be. But a couple of the players really did have talent. The others and the judges weeellll not so much to say. I play alto flute for myself and dont inflict it on others. ☺
I think this stripping part was actually good. Not by how it was but as idea. Music, classic opera and theather initially was actually entertainment for people. Nowdays when we have video games, cinema, RUclips and more as another form of entertainment they all compete with each other for the attention of audience. Yes, classical music is classical. But it can't compete good enough with other forms of intertainment in classical form. Making it more like a performance show with music is better then just the same music itself. I love music and if strippers could make it popular I would support this. :)
The thing is this stripping doesn’t help making classical music more popular at all. The alto flute player played out of tune + cameraman focused on people being bored. And then when the 2 topless guys played together, it was even more out of tune but it didn’t matter because obviously no one was still listening. This is just insulting for everybody : for the instrument, for the art and the music, for the players, and for the audience that is showed as totally uncultured… if in order to make classical music more accessible or more popular, you totally hide the music behind naked bodies or flashy things, the goal is obviously not achieved… it is not difficult to guess that people who really enjoys this show will never come to a classical concert. This is just sad and ridiculous :(
@@louiseadrien5641 Well at least they have tried) I don't think better music performance with everything else the same would made much of a difference in this show. But some of the people present or watching video could catch a glimpse of an interest for the classical music still. Even if it's a question like "was this performance even good or talanted?". It's still better then have no interest at all.
The guy who took off his clothes and started dancing is just disgusting. If a dancer did that it's ok, that's not something strange. But if I'm going to a flute performance the last thing I want is for the flutist to take off his clothes and start dancing in my face.
my dear and godess of flute Jasmine choi, I challenge YOU to play ''Blue'' by Herman Beeftink. I would really appreciate that you play this piece because I searched and no one even tried to record it and play it. Since you are so good at beatboxing, can you please do it?❤❤🙏🙏
Wrong type of show for such a beautiful instrument and wrong audience from a cultured perspective very surprised and angry that this instrument was subjected to that the flutes respectful place is in the classical symphony orchestra plus it is played by artists as a solo instrument the budy that came on with the alto flute was miles flat and whar has striping of got to do with flute playing. People look down on the recorder but it lost its popularity in the 18th century when it was superseded by the transverse flute but certain historical groups have reintroduced it playing music from the reainssance / baroque eara wrong show that's an alien culture hope I never see that again.

Yessss so nice to see twosetters
I'm watching too
This is going to be a very interesting video
Is that a twoset pun?
Yea
You inspire me in my violin playing. I would love to see you work up an "act" but just as a window to your mind.
Recorder gang represent!
Whenever I play the flute most of the reactions are like that, except for one time when they really liked it at the top of a high mountain and everyone clapped, but mostly people´s reaction is depressing. I don't know if it is because people don´t like the flute as compared to other instruments or because I am not so good at it yet.
Indian audience attendence here 🇮🇳 plz react to Rasika shekhar flute and shankar mahadevan sir jugalbandi
For me as a doubler on sax and flute. I find people in the audience to love it when i play the flute!
9:17 Please does anyone know what brand or company whistle he is playing? I would like to buy one.
Try playing "TRAIN WRECK" by James Arthur
It’s funny that people really think that the recorder is only for 2nd graders 😭😭😭
10:13 Interesting flute
Normally, people don’t treat classical music with the respect it deserves. Especially for the younger generations, regular flutes are just boring
You should collab with twodet violin
Piano actually can't have 88 notes at the same time. As music. Only if we lay down on the piano it would but it wouldn't be music :)
10 is a maximum for 1 person playing piano... I think. I didn't really counted but we only have 10 fingers, no?
Mainstream audiences love to be entertained
I would be (500 miles)
You should make a video of how to flutter tounge 😅
@jasminechoi plz react on manuraj and divyansh's AGT performance
what is the name of the last piece
11:10 CLARA
simon is SO ignorant about appreciating music lmao, flute is one of my favorites to hear it’s such a gorgeous instrument
A very different video today. 2x👍
I try to avoid talent shows, and still will be. But a couple of the players really did have talent.
The others and the judges weeellll not so much to say.
I play alto flute for myself and dont inflict it on others. ☺
1:30 oopsie lol
Try listening to swarnim Maharjan
It’s all about viewership and advertisements. Reality TV isn’t a good source for good music.
IN THE FIRST ONE IT CUT TO EVERYONE YAWNING ON THE ACTUAL FLUTE OMG WTF
썸네일이 너무 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Hi
Flutists are in the Bible too
UHM WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT 4:59
HELP
Well Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull is the GREATEST flute player EVER
Recorder gang 😢
I just want to let you know how much I appreciate the graphic at 1:07 xD xD
Tailor swift sings wearing a minimum garment... But don't do it.😅
I think this stripping part was actually good.
Big crash with reality talent shows are less about the talent more about the show in the end only view count is important to television
I'm really trying to love tonic. But it just so buggy and almost unusable on android
4th to comment!hope you are well
American audiences on these talent shows are not the most sophisticated
you should go to agt and shut the mouth to simon
Why you not going about talant show
i dont want to be that kind of person but you have the same smile as the fromis_9 member jiheon
Since you are so good at beatboxing, can you please do it?❤❤🙏🙏
Yayy Indias got talent is so cool
Im from there and I’m proud that we’re one of the talent shows that concentrates on the music
"America" generally prefers circus acts over substance ..
so sad ..
