Dude, that’s amazingly simple. My base is one or two icebergs over from where you filmed. This makes me much more inclined to visit my Yuty Neighbours and tame em. Thanks!
This worked surprisingly well, and the quicker to build, the better with Yutys around. Tamed about 8 yutys with this and not one got out. Very effective!
Nice going! Glad to hear it's working well for you too! I think for me, the ability to kite them in on foot and bypassing the fear roar is a big win, 'cause it's so frustrating when your tame decides to lose its mind in the middle of trapping!
Great trap, I'll have to use this as soon as I find a good yuti. Also, according to Dododex, yutis don't have a damage multiplier on their head so headshots are pointless. I recommend aiming for the body to avoid the yuti dodging your arrows / darts

@@toastbloke Custom cosmestics while being goofy AF aren't bad at least. Pyromane was a mistake that we're gonna have to deal with forever sadly yeah (even if they make it free or whatever, it's still in the game), but Bob's Tall Tales is actually good imo. Cool theme, funny animations, and there's nothing the DLC adds that you can't do without it (except reviving stuff with oasisaur). The only thing that worries me a part from the fantastic tames bs is how they're gonna deal with the rest of the maps, since what they did with Center is kinda stupid (I like it but I understand it's lost a lot of it's essence from ASE).
Billboard are always a good shout! Cheap, light, and more often or not, simple! I like building though, so the challenge of designing a trap is fun for me. It's pretty satisfying too when you get something you just have to run through and the trap does all the rest. Maybe I'm just lazy though! 😂
Thanks! The argy trap still works for me, been using it fairly often, but sometimes the argy doesn't drop all the way in right away, so you have to stand on the ramp until it does. If it doesn't improve soon, I have some ideas for a rework =)

Another beautiful trap but, how are you finding all these Yutys with no carnos surrounding them? How well does the trap work if the carnos run in it first?
Thank you! I've managed to do it by trapping the yuty first, and by killing the carnos first. The trap has no effect on the carnos really. They just run around or sometimes through it 😎
On ARK Survival Ascended, when you select the pillar, all the variants of the structure show up above your hot bar, as well as the controls you need to use to switch between them. Hope that helps!
I've not tried, so I can't say. These 'pinch' traps are very creature specific though. I was close to having one that works for Megatherium, just need to get some time to test it more!
There always a chance, but the pathfinding makes similar sized creatures react very differently to structures, so it would be a matter of trial and error. I've got three more trap to release, but then I can maybe do some testing and see what can be done. Let me know if you find anything interesting with it! 😎
The structures and creature pathfinding are completely different between the two games, so I would imagine it wouldn't, sadly! I used to use a good old pit trap in ASE, but with a ramp into a semi-circle of fence posts that were 4 high.
It won't no, sadly! The two games have completely different pathfinding mechanics and structures. You can use a cheap pit trap though! I used to just build a two high ramp into a semi-circle of 3 high fence posts, and kite it in if I remember correctly!
@ACTTimo It will sound silly, but when traps fail it’s usually that the dino wasn’t fully in the trap, the ground/terrain is janky or ARK was just being ARK. I’ll take another look when I get the chance incase the devs have changed something, just incase! Cheers!

It can’t, sadly, but I’ve got a therri trap almost ready to go! I just need to do some extra testing!
