Also, just before taking poly, you get an extra damage boost to your gaming platform for every cryo pod and top tier blueprint held in your inventory 👍
One of the best ways to get metal I found is once you get a flying mount hunt for the loot things there's one that has two industrial forges in it you place that then destroy it it's 1000 metal 400 cementing paste 300 crystals 200 electronics each one
When it comes to babies, you can also tame the dino, then claim the baby. That way, you can have 2 high-level dinos, and you might even get extra lucky and get a breeding pair.
Great vid man. best thing I have found about the cryopods being in game now is when you tame something, you do not have to worry about the long hike back to base with it - just pod it up and fly home. :D
Been touring a bunch of servers for this new game and DAMN there is no space for a new beach Bob. After a few dozen server tours it was obvious veteran players hate any new players moving next door. As long as this is true, and so many "got here first" players build monster bases, this game will never be popular among new players. Pillars and quarter walls as far as the eye can see and I made rafts to tour as far as I could until it got too cold for a new player. As if that wasn't bad enough, the old problems with the game are still not fixed! And there are new ones too!
@@jacobmackey4142 I toured a lot of EU servers also. Same problems. I did finally settle on a NA server, but had to build near the shore and later got lucky when two other players on the shore nearby moved off. That has opened up some more shoreline and if I need it later, a water gated space for water pets.
@@jacobmackey4142 Many of the old game veterans of the original ASE did indeed pillar and wall up a lot of space. They made it impossible for most beach Bobs like me that finally bought the game last week and tried to find space to settle. If anyone is a late comer, your best bet is to look for some space just off the shoreline, but a lot of that has been pillared, walled, or developed also. If you are thinking huge modified raft base, there have been some big changes more than twice since the newer ASA game was made public. Most of the current videos on how to make a raft base no longer work.
@wastedwatts I played the ASE game till the end. But only played a year of ASE. Bought ASA went to island but many servers packed. Waited till the scorched Earth came out. Then played again.
So regarding knocking stuff out Is it then better to keep a basic xbow for knockout arrows, and keep you "absolutely amazing" one for straight up damage dealing? EG Carry 2 xbows (or one primitive xbow for taming, and one ascendant compound for killing?)
Buffed weapons deal more damage, so even with tranq ammo it will still deal more damage than a basic weapon. I've never confirmed this but I believe that a buffed weapon with tranq ammo will bring down the torpor quicker thus knocking them out with less ammo used, unfortunately you are doing it at the cost of the dino's health. The whole point is to knock them out and not kill them so it's not beneficial in most cases to use a significantly buffed weapon. So whether to use a buffed weapon to knock out a dino or not probably depends mostly on the dino's level, more importantly its health. If you use a +500 Ascendent xbow to tame a level 5 parasaur you are going to kill it before knocking it out. If you are using traps to hold a dino for taming, then I would use a basic weapon or at least only a moderately buffed weapon if it was a higher level dino.
Phlinger I just want to say you are my biggest inspiration and the reason im here today and if you've got this big since I started watching you 7 years ago I can only imagine the future love you ,man.
Dire wolves over Raptors and Cats. River Rock = Hobo Metal. Boats = Life Get to metal tools ASAP. Have I mentioned Direwolves are tops? Explore some simple traps, and look to build one on that raft. Avoid the swamp.
Hey. Do you got 1 video word edge doing the walk through for single player? OKI need one for the ps. Y, that's recent okay. I got the newest version where you at the tube. There are the other. Three okay
Good morning Phlinger, nice video!! Sadly, a baryonx can't make it all the way through the Upper South Cave, there are a couple of choke points midway. I've been wondering if a terror bird would be any good in a cave. For people who can't turn needing a cryofridge off.
@@blackmarketbeagle7876 Actually I apologize, males DO have a bleed attack but normally it only affects Survivors. The Bleed effect I touted works on all non-boss creatures under the Kraken's Better Dinos mod, which gives a bunch of tames a TLC pass, which I use almost always in ASE. I forgot it wasn't a vanilla ability.
I haven’t seen any poop at all. I think my buddy changed my settings. I saw the interval for poop was at like 30 and my food drain is at .01. Would that stop me and my Dino’s from pooping.
Raptors are the truth. Easy tame with a bola (level 9) and a club, especially easy with Tranq Arrows (level 21). Get you a 4 or 5 raptor swarm and as long as you stay from the big baddies you will be just fine. Plus they are easy breeds and once you have a momma and poppa you can build an endless supply of replacement raptors. I also suggest a swarm of Dimos. I Level them up to 1500 health and love to take them into the caves to slay bats.
"we've improved the pathfinding for Ark Ascended from Survival Evolved!" Gtfo WIldcard, it is in some daily cases WORSE. Dinos will be in an open field following me and start running back and forth in circles for 30 seconds before continuing to follow me. Not to mention how my dinos have gotten stuck in walls 20x. Dimorphodons should be mentioned for early tames. Tame 10 or 12 of them and you can use a scope to order them to attack.
protip: eating organic polymer gives you a pvp damage resistance buff, you have to wait until you see another player then quickly eat the polymer
Lmao sure bro sure no in fact you die kids
😑😑
I can confirm this op strat.
You must start a fight with other player and then eat or it won't work. I've tested it.
Also, just before taking poly, you get an extra damage boost to your gaming platform for every cryo pod and top tier blueprint held in your inventory 👍
The Raptors actively gaslighting you as you sing their praise has earned you a sub from me good sir. Lol😂
wild. you can't find a solo Raptor. they are pack animals, Sure! but let me get a solo with a baby before lvl 100.

Pro tip breed the children with their parents 💀
Veteran tips: "Raptors are a good early game tame" I'm out
raptors are amazing early game
early game tame tric is better than rap i hate raptors too
Lol. Yea this a pve guide
I would greatly appreciate this tips if only I could run the game 😭 Loved your ASE videos though, helped me start a lot.
Parasaur(s) + 6 x Raptors above lvl 75 are my favorite early game tactic. Get resources with protection plus easy to move from 1st base to main base.

I hear hiccup from how to train your dragon ☺️
Is there anyway to turn on the “green damage numbers” when you attack on Official servers?
Wolf pack if you can’t get a Baryonyx in a cave.

Experiment with male Megaloceroses. They have a bleed attack and they're pretty small (slender) and jump well.

My cryo wont spill out my dino.. it just lets out some red things
In Ascended you need a powered up cryofridge nearby to launch a pod.
Good morning !! Hope you all have an awesome Thursday 🥰
Good morning Phlinger! (sipping coffee) I never can get enough of Phlinger Tips and Tricks! Woot! God Bless you!
Hey, how to change the camera so to look on your character from the front? (On PC)
It’s sad building is better. I find building aweful in this game

What I want to know is can you set up a local LAN server.
A yuty can fit the cave of the strong?
first?
How do you track stuff on console for resources?
Can preserving bins craft jerky ?it now has a craft button?
Its not an actual "craft" button... more of a "progress" meter... have said resources (spark, oil, meat) in your bin and itll "auto-craft"
Hay Phlinger love the tips always good to know. :)
i wish theyd fix the tame dino path finding.. its appauling
cryo up a baby wont reset its craving anymore :(
What is the map button on ps5 ? I have to go into main menu to look at map kills me
What's Up!
How do I disable the having to have a cryofridge all the time
Im like number 500, thanks for the awesome vids!
Been waiting for this thanks 💪🏽🔥
Geez they need to fix the dino following commands omg lol 🤦🏽♂️😳
I need all these tips converted to ps5 😊
Plinger is a vet on his own pve server lmao
Great Vid ! 🤠Lots of Good Advices ! 🦖
I love the Gaia Online avatar
I use Megalania in all caves
You cannot re-cryo Dino’s for new imprints. You can do it once and then wait until the cryo sickness timer resets. Found this out the hard way.
Cryo sickness can be disabled in PvE mode
