This makes me more convinced this is some drug-cartel related stuff. At first I thought maybe the husband knocked her off for some insurance money.... but this sounds a lot deeper and more complicated than that.

Carjacker didn’t have gloves on when holding the ARP on the Durango (which they torched) but they found the Acura unscathed so his dna and fingerprints will be all over and inside that vehicle. Only a matter of time before everyone is caught.

The driver of the green car obviously knew who they were after & her whereabouts.

It is difficult to NOT assume that said Orange County Deputy was in cahoots with the husband - but for what purpose? To kill the man's wife? To just try and find out what was going on with the investigation in the other county? This smells to high Heaven. Why would the two truck driver be killed - what did he know about the other murder related to the green car? Geez.

So, it still had tags from the old owners that had expired for a long time and had been driving around like that for months. She called her husband to let him know what was going on instead of calling the police. In my OPINION, that means the husband sent her to that area where the green car was waiting for her to drive by and thats why she called him. The deputy who got arrested was trying to get as much info to pass on to the husband and let him know how things are playing out and tried to say he was a detective in hopes of probably making up false info to shift everything in a diff direction that makes the husband even less likely to have played a part in this.
