I wish more devs would do presentations like this to really help people understand what their game is ABOUT, instead of just having to piece it together from trailers and journo coverage.

Thank you for this video! Honestly my first reaction when this was revealed was mixed. I think it was because I didn’t understand what was going on with the card system and got horrible memories from Kingdom Hearts Chain of memories.

@@infant_annihiIator Majority of Splatoon players use gyro aim. Once you try it, you won't wanna go back to stick.
The card system seems confusing to use in the thick of battle. The active attack is an icon, but the discard ability is text. Imagine what I think when I see a shotgun icon with the text "Fireball" underneath it. Why not have icon and text for both?
I think the moves are symbolized with the colors but that may be wrong

@@qwaccc I don't know how to say it in proper English, but like undynamic or stiff or so. The jumps and movements look a bit unimmersive which will probably fine for freaky speedrun action but I found it a bit sad

I hate card games. If it was just FPS I would try it, but no thanks.
It's not a "card game", it's a game that uses cards to represent weapons. A card game is something like Hearthstone, not this.
I like how the art depicts the characters with guns, but during gameplay they're rather lazily not illustrated as such.
Its got that whiff of shoddy mobile game about it
