one of the best crossfit workout you can do at home. it hits almost all body parts. very good cardio. if you don't have time to workout then you can do this crossfit workout. this is my FAVORITE EXERCISE. it can really be HELL for beginners and first timers. the first time i did this workout my whole body became sore for 3 days but it was worth it. i still do this workout 1-2x a wk, i just added abs workout during active rest. i highly recommend this WOD for everybody. for beginners try to lower the reps and shorten the time to 5-7 min. just do mini hotel hell until you are able to follow along till the end of the session.
I tried this today. In 3 mins my breath skyrocketed. I stopped it in 3 mins, my breath got heavy . I got afraid and stopped. Due to my smoking habit I lasted only 3 mins. I will quit smoking now and will perform full workout slowly.
It’s ok, good for you for trying. Next time try a lighter weight and shoot for 50 reps total instead of 100. When you get more comfortable with the breathing and pacing, add weight and/or reps!
Hi guys... today I did it with a couple of friends after a 5k run and it felt brutal... amazing workout! Thanks guys and a big hug for you from Mexico City
Hey guys that looked tuff. only been crossfit for 6 months so only now starting to look at pacing as before just trying to finish the WODS plus within Time limits when set. I found the walk through very helpful as I can start to apply this to other workouts. Nice one..👍
There's an individual time trial underway on the television in the back, maybe the Giro d'Italia- sick! Rad workout, though. I plan to try this out while focusing on strict burpee technique and programming a full minute of rest. Thanks for the content
Watched your video yesterday and thought it would be fun! Got it done in 12:59! Plan was to do 9 sets of 8 and then 4 sets of 7, but ended up doing 7 sets of 8, 4 sets of 7, 1 set of 6 and last set of 10... finished with a second to spare, and omg it was exhausting! I kept saying to my friends..... they made it look so easy! I was breathing so loud. Thanks for the workout.
I will be adding this to my workout this will benefit my martial arts training. Good job guys, I'm impressed. It looks like it encompasses major compound exercise, I may add in dumbbell punches before the burpees. Really impressed with that training you can do it anywhere, even with a piece of luggage. I may start something new, CrossFit martial arts 😆
So I tried this today, now I've spent most of my life in the military, I've never been smoked this hard in such a short period of time. I am in my mid 50's now, it took me an additional 3 minutes longer than your time, but I will get there! Inspirational!
@@wodwell Well,,,,, I am really feeling this, but that is a good thing! I very light weight trying this, where I'm really feeling this is in my shoulders, triceps, lats, and in my abdomen. This will remain part of a weekly routine, but wow, I'm cleaning my garage right now and I'm struggling 😂😂😂. I will check in tomorrow, let you know how I'm feeling, I also subscribed to your channel for new and different work outs, Thanks guys!
Ahhhhhh...UPDATE! I had to hyper-modify to 2 burpees and 50 thrusters... and only made it through two sets.... but the sweat feels GREAT! Thanks for the inspo 🙂
14:46 scaled due to the dumbbell weight. DONT start off doing sets of 10 clusters! Did my first two sets at 10, then did a few at 8, then 7 then I was burnt out and had to do a few sets at 4 or 5…
You don't need to start with Burpees. In the original video he did not start with burpees. It was explained as "You need to do 100 Clean Hang thrusters and then every minute that PASSES, do 5 burpees" the key word is, a minute passed since starting. You can also clearly see Jason starting with the Hangs, but then Chris writes start with Burpees. So it's kinda bad, because 12 years ago it was not written up on fancy websites, we just had that video to go by. People are doing two different versions of this Wod.
Wide stance is not a textbook pretty burpee. Feet should come back together after the jump. After watching the video I’d pay more attention to this next time. As for why lie flat on the floor - because that’s the “bottom” of a burpee in CrossFit (the top is standing tall with hands touching overhead).
İs it smart to train further on fitness after your crossfit workouts ? like 30 minutes or something. or is crossfit workout just enough for the whole day ?
Depends how serious you are about fitness. Lots of competitive athletes do multiple workouts per day. But one 1-hour warm-up/workout/cool-down session per day (4-5 days/week) is enough for typical non-competitive athletes.
I’m a trucker and wanted to find a workout that can build muscle burn fat and increase endurance. Think imma give this a go for the next two months 3-4 times a week.
this is definitely some good money you got. the only comment i have is the burpees. i am a stickler on burpees as far as form. i get it you are going for time, but i rather take longer with proper form on both movements, then be faster in time with haphazard form. in the end with good form, you will be stronger in the end. i am not saying what you're doing isn't hard. you are getting that money. just be more cognisant of your form with the burpees meaning clean push ups instead of flopping on the floor or seal backing. other than that, get that money. 🤙
If you don’t have any weights at all, *jumping air squats* might give you a good effect (minus the upper body component). 200 total jumping air squats in this format would probably be a really good lower body workout.
Serious question. So with crossfit, do you just do the "WOD" and that's it? Or do you lift as well? And I know that there are different workouts, so there would be different times, but how long does a typical crossfit workout last? And qhat does it all entail?
A lot of people do CrossFit with a "strength bias," which means they lift frequently as well (typically before the WOD). You're right that different workouts take different amounts of time, and it varies a lot. Most take between 10-20 minutes, but some are shorter and some are much longer (60+). You can see the most popular CrossFit workouts and the variety they entail at wodwell.com/wods/
In most cases Lisa is doing a high hang clean (va a regular hang clean), which is an acceptable version of the hang clean with a faster cycle time. But in some cases she isn’t straightening her arms and not completing the movement, which is technically a no-rep.
This Burpee starts with the athlete standing up, then requires thighs and chest to touch the ground, then requires the athlete to stand up again with hands overhead. What kind of burpee do you do?
I know this is brutal as hell. But imo I feel you both were lifting to much for this challenge, when your not even halfway through and the form gets sloppy, you are using to much. But I give props for this challenge. Keep it clean and safe, injures = no workout at all.
Thanks! One of these days maybe I’ll be able to dial up the intensity with perfect form. Until then I’ll be pushing the intensity while trying not to get sloppy.
WODwell thanks for your reply, I wasn’t hating on you at all. I know that is a killer workout combined with a good pace. I am sorry if you took my remarks as derogatory. I do respect your workout.

If you warm up then push hard on this one, unless you are a competitive athlete, it should feel like the only workout you need for the day.
