Yo, I had the same problems for years with my 07 Zx10. Come to find out, I was using a crappy battery that didn't produce enough cranking amps for my bike. I kept exchanging the batteries for new ones with the warranty and it always did the same thing. Anyway, I ended up buying a Shorai lithium battery and its been working fine ever since!! Lithium is the way to go man!!!
I have an 07 Zx-10. Mine I'd doing the exact same thing. I Replaced my stator and it helped a lot. But I still need to replace the rectifier. It still acts up sometimes. Helpful video man. I thought it was just me.
Had the same exact problem with my ZX10r '07. Checked all connections and re-charged my battery. Turned out to be a bad battery. There wasn't enough amps to start the bike even though the battery read 12v. Got a lithium battery with more cranking amps. Started right up!!
it ended up being a bad connection to the ignition barrel for the battery line, when I pulled the loom apart the connection fell apart. I have since fixed it and it has been running fine ever since. see the zx10r thread stated in the description for more info...
@sladkixxx there was a recal on something recently that affected this area on these bikes including zx6r's just waiting on a responce from kawasaki about it. thanks for the responce.
I have an 09 zx10r. I have absolutely zero power after replacing the battery. No fuel pump prime, not one light works, nothing. I've done the obvious like making sure the terminals are clean and all that Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks
well I'm talking about the complete main wiring harness installation. I'm green when it comes to the wiring of a bike if I can I will send you a picture of what I have going on
Gas tank seat valve cover air intake components rear and front tail light and blinkers all removed Forks front wheel brake system all of that dismantled apparently just too take-out main wire harness
+Andrew Syverson i dont think i will be able to help you there.. however i would definitely start by getting a manual for the bike as these have wiring dizgrams in them.. also with most bikes theses days they all have connectors on each ends of the loom and it makes it easier to figure out what everything is wuppost to plug into.. imo start by figuring out where each connector gose.. and if there is a group of wires that gose to the same place tape them together using nitto tape..
Hey Joe, I just finished reading your entire thread on zx10r.net - my '07 is having the SAME exact problem after tipping over in the driveway. Do you have any more experience with this issue, or any idea as to where I should begin troubleshooting? I would prefer to narrow down the issue before taking it to the shop.
Hey John, I hope you have found the result to fix your bike.. however if you haven't, please see the thread on zx10r.net it mentioned that the wiring was the issue, where the band clamps in the loom were faulty and corroded through.. sorruy i dident see this sooner, as i would of replied promptly.
if its not starting check all of the electrical connections are correctly connected. you might of missed a plug or 2 when getting to the plugs.. also did you check if the plugs were of the same grade? gap etc?

Did you check fuel filter inside fuel pump?

Battery is gone. Happened to me when I'm cruising down the highway.
Thats why I got rid of my 06 10r hunk of junk after 700 dollars worth of electrical parts. Rather ride a 150 scooter now.
bicycless211 So much heat coming from the motor. I’m running into starting issues myself. Gonna replace the battery. I’ve got an 06.
