No problem..you can clean the injectors primary and secondary with intake cleaner and a 12v battery .put the straw in the open end and get some alligator clips connect them to the injector pins and then to the battery will be easier with 2 people cause you have to tap the 12volt connection to open and close injectors helps with the cleaning if it sat for any long period most likely they are plugged with dirty old fuel varnish
Literally my problem, was driving the bike and just died mid ride, would start up every 5 mins and idle at 4 grand and just die on me, thanks so much didn’t think I was gonna figure it out
The owner prior to the zx6r I now own let his sit for 3 years. There was so much gunk inside the tank, the filter, and sump had a buncha crap all up in it. I felt so bad for the bike 😂 I’m sure to take care of it once it’s up and running I have to get a new fuel pump for it. Let me know if u wanna sell it 😂
Hey, you see these red pins/tabs/clips, one connecting to the fuel tank and the other to the airbox. How on earth do you put them back in place, I have spent hours trying to, but it does not want to go back. I would really appreciate your answer.
I can only rev until 10k rpm. I changed the pump and filter. But still the same. Check the afr whenit hits 10k rpm the fuel becomes lean. What should be the problem? Should I check the injector.
I have this same problem. 10k is my limit but if I go full throttle trying to go past 10k it jumps like im going full throttle to no throttle repeatedly. Did you ever find your fix?
I’m having same issue. Replaced the fuel filter and it fixed for a day. Now I’m having same issue again. About to replaced the fuel pump let’s see if that fixes it
Having the same issue changed the spark plugs and fuel pump and it almost wanted to start on starter fluid so it’s either my lines or fuel injector and the tank has a bit of rust in it so gonna clean it out and clean the injectors and lines and see if it starts
Clean it good mine was just old Nasty fuel messed up the pump ,fuel injector, pressure regulator but just clean and I mean when you think k it's clean clean it again..mine took forever to get to where the problem was but it you have it use an ultrasonic cleaner..kinda expensive but well worth it would have saved me tons of time.i fabled one out of a old electric sander and a Mason jar ..then made a bigger one for the entire pump out of a plastic container from Walmart.tye fuel injectors can be activated with 12volts I just ran carb cleaner with the straw and some tape activated it and it sprayed thru
The filter at the top is very fine ,thats stupid of mitsubishi thou,sk you would come back to the company to buy another fuel pump, thats how mistsubihi and kawasaki makes thier money.
Yeah I just spent about 50 bucks on Amazon for fuel filter and pump plus the regulator...but noone tells you those lines or check valves are in that car and its melted shut so you can't access them
My bike is doing this right now man. Thank you so much for this video, very helpful 👍

Did you know that there is another filter inside the top cover of the pump?
